Just wanted to prove that I actually got up to take Jeanette to the airport. She is safely there and will check in when she gets home....And I even slowed down enough that she didn't sprain an ankle when I shoved her out of the car...LOL!! It was really great to have her for an extra day. Now I am going back to bed...

BBL!

Hi all,

Debra up at the crack of dawn and starting us off too! Miracles never cease to amaze me!

Today is 4ds, tri/bi/shoulders and some core and yoga. I've decided to stick with this for 3 weeks, then do something else for 3 weeks, then alternate them like the X. After reading more about muscle recruitment, this really is an excellent series that combines so much variety in so little time.

I am so glad to be back at work today. I really would like to, need to, get a part time job.

Traci, Wendy, and Laurie - Glad you are back safe and sound and that you didn't drown in the wine.

Kim - I am always so tight after I run. Only my younger DS can see the benefit of yoga. Everyone else thinks its weird too.

Sandra - Yesterday I did the cardio of the last premix on the Hi/Lo Dome Challenge dvd. It was about 35 minutes and really a pretty good workout. You might like it. Did you decide on the gym styles?

Hi to all who follow.

Tracy

Back again...Where are all you sleepy heads????

Tracy...
I really like the 4DS series too...I may do something similar once I get through with my slow/heavy rotation...whenever that is..lol. I guess it will be less stressful to be at work than at home this week. I hope things calm down for you soon. We certainly missed you this weekend!

I have no idea what workout I am supposed to do today...so I will have to report on that later...I am not 100% sure I will actually get to a workout today...I am really tired after the weekend and I am supposed to go to DD's school for a kite flying event around noon, which seriously cuts into my nap time...lol! I may just start up again tomorrow with the workouts...I will feel a bit more organized by then. I have a presentation at school today...Jeanette was very helpful with giving me some ideas last night...Thank goodness she was here since I was a little brain-dead...but she seemed to be fresh as a daisy!! Okay...off to get the diva up and going....Hope everyone has a great morning!!

WOW!! What planet am I on?

Ok- since OBVIOUSLY planetary alignment is out of whack I shall EXERCISE today!

Jumping right in w/ GS Legs & KPC Abs

Slept (off & on) from 8pm to 6:45am... I'm groggy & confused! DH leaves for work by 5am on Mondays...he's still here... he says well I missed you & want to spend time with you.... FRIGG- ya know what THAT means!

Back after I can get him outta my space (God Luv Him!) and I det my workout done .... xxoxoxoxo

Morning everyone:

At work and somewhat envious of you girls able to w/o so early in the a.m. Not for me but I sure can see the benefits of getting it done 1st thing in the a.m. I was up at 4am with my DS and then again 5am and pretty much awake since then so a little tired but w/o the benefit of having w/o.

I'm a little sore today in the tush so maybe YBB is a bit tougher then it felt yesterday but still did not enjoy it enough to give it another try after tonight. Kinda of enjoying the cardio DVD but not the sculpting. I have to be careful I don't do too much step so looking for other alternatives and giving KB a try.

My DS loved his new bicycle w/training wheels. We couldn't get him to sit on it in the store he just freaked out but had no trouble sitting him on it once we got home. Now, to get him to actually push the pedals would be the cats meow. Any suggestions? I spent most of the afternoon pushing him up and down our street and he only figured out how to push backwards on the pedals. So he found the brakes generally at the wrong time for me.

Debra - take it easy today as I'm sure you deserve it after putting up with the rest of this gang around here for the last few days.:)

Hello Ladies!!!

I got home safe and sound yesterday afternoon. Silly Phil went to the arrivals terminal to meet me. After a good ten minutes of trying to tell him where I was with the help of strangers, he, the girls, and my little dog too came to retrieve me from the airport. While I was putting my luggage into the back, Baby jumped out and headed for the airport doors!!! Thankfully, my freaked out screaming were enough to get her to look at me pointing to the forbidden front seat. She wheeled around, jumped onto my lap, smothered me with kisses and coated me with fur before jumping to the back seat to sit with her siblings.:) See Traci, I am a good Mommy!!!! :p :D

We dropped the luggage and dog off at the house, and went to Bob Evans for dinner. I figured the weekend wasn't technically over. I can start clean eating today. Got home, slept till 10:00, woke up for a good 5 minutes}(, and went back to sleep till 7:00!!!!

I am feeling well rested! So much so, that I am starting Phase 2 today.

Gotta open another window for personals!

:* :* :* :*
Wendy

Debra: Are you still in bed recovering from the early morning drive?:+ Thank you so much for this weekend!!! You are the BEST hostess!!!:* :* :* You really made me feel at home with feeding us leftovers, Thai style, all weekend!:7 :7 :7 Not only did you share your home and leftovers with us, you also gave me your lost pound.:p I can't thank you enough!!!:+ I'll always think of you when I use a public restroom!!!:7 :+

Tracy: I've heard really good reviews of people doing a 4DS rotation. A part time job!!! I guess you have time for one now that your classes are finished. Save your pennies for the next retreat where we agreed Sandra gets to host.:7

Debra AGAIN!!! You didn't go directly back to bed!!! Let me guess. Polly, Chelsea, and the Diva will be locked up in their respective rooms while you take your nap today.:7 :+ ;-) Thank the Diva for letting me sleep in her Pretty Pretty Princess room!!!! I felt like a star!!! Yes, Jeanette is wonderful!!! I'm surprised you allowed her to go home!!!! :+

Traci!!! SHUUUSH!!!! From the time line, it looks like Wendell didn't take on the Challenge!!! Dang, he must be wanting a three track for each day you were gone!!! By my calculations, that's a friggin album!!!}( }( }( Poor Wendell!:+ ;)

Patricia: The trick of early morning workouts is to stay awake all night long and do a workout before taking a nap.:D ::wildly waving my arms in the air, Debra Style:: Pick Me! Pick Me! I have a suggestion! STOP PUSHING HIM!!!:p }( :+ Seriously, that's my suggestion unless you want to count it as your day's workout.:7

Off to read what NASTRY, UNTRUE rumors Traci, Debra, and Laurie wrote about me this weekend. I'm almost positive Jeanette wouldn't do anything like that to me!!! She's not the slug type.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Morning Ladies,

Rotation: Cathe Feb08/Week 4/Day 5 (skipping the first 4 days of the last week of this rotation)
Workout: 2m Run (done) / GS Chest & Tri (did chest, will do Tri after dance class)

Still haven't decided what I want to do for a rotation after I'm finished with the Feb08. My mind will be pondering this as I work today. I had to wake the dog up for our walk this morning. :7 :7 Guess she got used to Brian's schedule. Oldest DD missed the bus, so hubby drove her to school. Seems as if we all where a little tired. ;-) Youngest DD grew while I was gone, I kidd you not. The top of her head was level with my mouth.

Debra, Can't believe that you where the one to start the tread. LOL about throwing poor Jeanette out the door. :D Well at least you slowed down. LOL! Good luck with that presentation, and the kite flying. Hope the wind is there for the event. Showed Brian the wine glasses from Childers, and he thought they where great. I stepped on the scale this morning, and I lost 1-1/2 lbs. Guess all the others should have drank more wine too. :7 :7

Tracy, Hope work makes for less stress in your life. Looks like a well thought out program for you.

Traci, LOL is about all I can say! :7 :7 Don't tell me you are going to be attempting all of GS Legs! Even the floor work? :D

Patricia, My DH does not workout, so I have no advice to give you. But if he was paying attention yesterday, they made the comment on how hard both Mark Martin and Carl Edwards workout. :D Or was your DH sleeping at that time? I think mine was.

Wendy, I can just see the scene at the airport with Baby running toward the doors. :7 :7 Glad you got caught up on your sleep, hopefully Debra will be able to do the same.

Have to get to a meeting, but will BBL.

Laurie

Good morning,

Welcome back to the Retreaters! It's great to see your chatting fingers again.

Tracy - thanks for reminding me that Amy has some excellent short premixes on her dvds. I'm always looking for good 30min cardios to tack onto weight days. I've decided to do something similar to you, but in a different order: gym styles for a few weeks, then switch to 4ds.

Traci - I did GS Legs today, too! We'll both be hobbling and complaining about our hamstrings tomorrow.

Debra - Good luck with your assignment, and recovering from your weekend.

Patricia - I think the kids just need some time to figure it out for themselves. Many babies start crawling backwards before figuring out how to go forwards; it's probably the same sort of learning process.

Wendy - Good morning. I'm not sure why it was a shock that Phil went to the arrivals to pick you up?? Isn't that where people go to pick up people who've arrived? Obviously I missed an important detail somewhere along the way.

This morning I did GS Legs, including the blammed floorwork. I'm going to do some hip opening/hamstring yoga later this morning to try to ward off the brutal doms I always get when I haven't done that workout in a while.

Have a great day,
Sandra

Hi again gang..... glad everyones back- waiting to see Jeanettes shining "face" later!

Got in GS Legs standing.... 2 sets + the bonus burns - ran out of time.... I got TWO new client calls today! Will add the GS Floor + KPC Core to tomorrows Chest & Triceps day

Sorry no time to catch up- Will do so properly in the morning.

Great day to all!

I just went to Amazon.ca to order Eoin's newest dvd, and came across this one:

http://www.amazon.ca/Hot-Nude-Yoga-...ef=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1207594124&sr=1-5

I think I now understand why Wendy enjoys her Heated Yoga class so much now :+ Anyone planning on preordering this one? LOL!

Traci - 2 new clients!!! Yay!!!!!

Laurie - So nice to see you back. I missed my simultaneous poster friend.

Eoin and I had a beautiful Quickie this morning. Love that man.

Cheers,
Sandra

Where is everyone today??? I know that I personally have been doing nothing but eating and sleeping all day...I am sure that pound I lost will be right back tomorrow. Worked on laundry and that's about it for me. Let's see...no kite flying today since it was too wet, so I have that in the morning with DD's class. I did have my presentation at school and it went really well...there was a lot of participation from the class and the teacher too. I think I will be back to my regular routine tomorrow, I think. CBL is coming over in a bit for a little visit.

personals..

Sandra...
Maybe you're right about Wendy...although gotta tell ya, that would not explain Phil's not wanting to attend...unless, of course, only the men were naked! So glad you had a lovely time with Eoin today. I made everyone preview his newest this weekend...I am sure you will like it. CBL asked if he could come to Canada with us next year....LOL! I told him he could hang out with us for a night, but after that he had to find his own entertainment!

Traci..
God bless your little heart! What a workout today! Good for you. And congratulations on the 2 new clients...You are going to be too busy to come on retreats! I bet Wendell and the boys were all oer you today. (Just imagine my hands waving around at this point...lol) I bet your bootay will be feeling that workout tomorrow. Soon you, too, will have strangers looking at your bottom in the bathroom. Polly is certainly missing her Aunt Traci...She keeps wondering where that wonderful woman with all the extra food, the extra love, and the extra walks is!!!

Patricia...
Welcome to the group!!! So glad to have someone new around. I heard all about your invitation from Traci while she was here. At least your DS wants to learn how to ride a bike...my DD (who is 7) is just now getting interested in it...She seems to think it is too much work...this comes from the child that does dance, gymnastics, and of course, diva dancing in her room. But pedaling is just too much...LOL. So, obviously I have no advice for you on that one! I am definitely not a morning person...so I tend to wait until later in the day to workout, too.

Wendy...
Poor Baby..she was just a bit confused as to where she was supposed to go!! How nice for the whole gang to meet you at the airport!! So glad you finally got some sleep in. DD wanted me to ask you if she snored...I told her you probably would have told me before now if she did...lol. I am glad to have made such a positive impression on you for the public restroom. I actually did go back to sleep this morning for about an hour before I had to take the Diva to school...and then another nap after that...and then after my school....and then another nap while she was at dance! I think I am caught up too!

Laurie...
So glad DH liked the glasses...I sent you an email about the vineyard too. I bet you will all be back on a regular schedule in a day or 2! I think Jeanette was ready to leap out the door this morning anyway....so she took the landing well...LOL! I think I am going to follow Tracy's lead and do a short rotation of 4DS if I ever get done with the Feb rotation. I am extending that one a bit by adding in some Amy Bento Slo Mo.

Okay...think I am caught up! I am actually wide awake from all the naps I took today. I am sure that won't last for long, though! See you all in the morning.

Debra

Gotta go and do my leg w/o.

Tips for the ladies in year 2008

1. Aspire to be Barbie - the bitch has everything.

2. If the shoe fits - buy one in every color.

3. Take life with a pinch of salt... A wedge of lime, and a shot of tequila.

4. In need of a support group? - Cocktail hour with the girls!

5. Go on the 30 day diet. I'm on it and so far I've lost 15 days.

6. When life gets you down - just put on your big girl panties and deal with it.

7. Let your greatest fear be that there is no PMS and this is just your personality.

8. Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself.

9. Don't get your knickers in a knot, it solves nothing; and makes you walk funny.

10. When life gives you lemons in 2008 - turn it into lemonade then mix it with vodka.

:*

Phase 2 will have to wait until tomorrow. After dinner, I made apple pies for tomorrow's Bible Club luncheon for the helpers while Phil helped me polish off a bottle of Duo Rossi from our local winery. We cracked open the 2006 Sangiovese from Childress about ten minutes ago. I like the Sangiovese better!

Traci!!! Love your tips!!! Tip #7 was my greatest fear until you just had to share your stuck between sleep and reality fear! ::shivers:: OMW! I, too, am so PROUD of you!!! Good Job!!! GS Legs is NOT easy!!!Will Poor Wendell be massaging your DOMS tonight? Have you trained the babies to walk on your legs yet? :7 I'm still working on it here. Apparently, Baby doesn't trust the wobbly feel of my mushy hamstrings.:7 So glad you were able to sleep in this AM!!! I think I figured out why I was able to sleep in too... Phil will spoon me.:p :7

Patricia: I remember reading about you using Jari Love. I used to do Jari's Slim and Lean before I started the X. I had to search my ancient posts to remind myself what she said that grated my nerves. Found it easily. It was a post to Jeanette chatting with her about it: Doesn't her voice kill you when she slowly and flatly says, "Where's the pump. Right here." I want shake her while shouting, "Say it like you mean it! Lady! Make me believe!!"

BRB The oven timer is beeping!

Wendy

Laurie!!! I bet Cami was soooo happy to have you back home to keep her warm!!! This morning my hands were cold and I put them on Baby to warm up. You'd think she'd be happy to snuggle with momma. Noooo!!! She jumped off the bed and slept on the floor!!!:7 Have you decided what you'll do? Looks like there's a few ladies here doing/contemplating a version of the 4DS. I'll be subbing some the X workouts with the 4DS. But, I have to wonder if I shouldn't be torturing myself with some of Cathe's endurance weight workouts before STD arrives at my doorstep.

Sandra!!! ROFLOL!!! Only you could accidentally stumble on that workout! I decided to not preorder it. I can wait for your glowing reviews.:7 But, your post did get me back onto Amazon to complete my Eoin's PY4H2 order. I went ahead and got myself some Bryan Kest for the free shipping. How's your legs tonight? Floorwork too!!!! Are you crying for your mommy? OUCH;( Oh, Phil... No, you didn't miss anything. It's me not you. I forget you all can't read my brain waves all the time. USAirways is messed up. They have a few different terminals for arrivals/departures. They are the only air carrier to have an arrival terminal at both the arrivals/departures sections of the airport. I tried explaining that to my dh. But, his logic had a way of blocking out my 10 minute triads. :+

Traci!!! Two more clients!!! Wow! They must have heard you were a hot trainer who keeps up with continuing educational retreats!!!:7 How many spots do you have open? I predict you will have to implement a waiting list if this keeps up!!!

Debra: Somehow, I don't see you NOT having a good presentation!!! Tell the Diva that she doesn't snore. Is that why she thinks she had to sleep with you Friday night? Poor thing!!! Tell her the truth! It was because Mrs. Wendy is a Cold Cold woman!!!:7 Not even Laurie's hot flashes could have thawed me out if I had to spend another night next to the fan. LOL on catching up on your nap time. Did you fall asleep to Eoin's relaxing voice. Gosh! I love that man!!!

Patricia: I'm off to check out your you tube link!

Jeanette: How's the Captain? Did he cook you a Welcome Back dinner? I bet he did that and more, you Sweet Sweet Woman!!!!

Okay Ladies, Phil is trying to talk to me. I can't Shuuush him because he's had too much wine tonight!

Talk more tomorrow!

Sweet Dreams!

Wendy

That You Tube should have the following warning: Do Not watch if under the influence!!! OMW! I have a headache! My head is spinning! Did you see the one lady got up and LEFT during that craziness!!!:7 :7 :7

Off to sleep in about five minutes.

Wendy

Evening ladies,
I'm sitting on the couch with DH watching Independence Day right now. The time is 9:16 p.m., but considering I got up at 4:00 a.m. EST at Debra's, I think I've been up for 20 hours now. Just a teensy nap after I got home is all I've had, couldn't sleep on the plane. DH and the pups were very happy to see me. While I was gone, DH has been busy doing a little house cleaning of his "nest" area. I'm so surprised he threw away all of his catalogs, you know the Cabela's, Northern Tool, Sears Craftsman. He had a ton of them piled in a corner. They are gone now. The carpet cleaning guy is coming tomorrow while DH is here so I had to pull out the furniture and vacuum behind it as it hasn't been done since he was last here right before Thanksgiving. Does that give you an idea of how meticulous I am about my cleaning?

I did a bike ride this afternoon, think it was about 20 miles. I forgot to look at my cyclometer when I finished. Felt good to be out, but it was a little on the cool side. Think we have one more day of iffy weather, then they are predicting 60's and 70's!! Woohoo! Another woohoo is that I am now doing the Olympic/International distance instead of the 1/2 Ironman distance for the relay in May. That is a BIG relief as there was no way I was going to be adequately prepared with my hill climbing. The Olympic distance is the same as what I did last year - 25 hilly miles, but very doable. Should be fun again. Just don't want any drama before it, as in what happened with Tillie's eye 2 days before.

Okay, on to personals. BTW, Debra's Meez IS her!!! She's definitely a head banger crazy lady! I thought her Meez was some kind of wannabe personality but it really IS her!!!

Debra, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the life changing event we just experienced. I will never forget it. You are a special lady and you made all of us feel that way too. I'm already missing Julia, Polly and Chelsea (the tick). I downloaded my camera pictures and showed them to DH. He was chuckling at Polly. Hoping for good weather for the kite flying tomorrow. Hope you can get plenty of naps in and make up for the time you were being Hostess of the Year. The only thing that would have been better was if ALL of our group could have attended. No, we didn't have perfect weather, but it really didn't matter as we filled every moment with what I wanted to do anyway -- getting to know and having fun with my online buds. Glad the presentation went well. Did you give away all of the candy? No fair giving the bast*** boy some X-Lax before his presentation. Must play fair, okay? LOL!

Tracy, how is your FIL doing? I hope things start looking up. We sure missed meeting you. I was disappointed to say the least, but totally understand. Why do you want a part time job? Of course, that is the grasshopper in me wondering why someone would want to work more hours. Not sure what my rotation will be, but it will include legs 2X a week I think. I'll see how it goes and as the bike event gets closer, I'll taper off.

Traci, how perfectly SWEET of Wendell to want to spend a few tracks...er moments with you this morning. I definitely have a visual now (kind of) LOL!!! GS Legs? I'm thinking maybe that one tomorrow too. We'll see. Your joke was a hoot. So right, especially losing 15 days. So glad you could get the required training in that is sooooo necessary for you to keep your certification. You learned a few things, didn't you? We learned a few things about you too ;-)

Patricia, so glad you are here with us. Yep, this is a great group of ladies. So you have a DS? I think I missed what kind of work you do besides taking care of your family (which is huge). I too love stepping and need to vary my cardio. I'm not a big KB fan. A little goes a long way with me. Looking forward to getting to know more about you. I think Sandra cut to the chase and asked a bunch of questions. I'll have to go back and see how you answered. All I can remember is she asked about your libido. Why would that stick in my mind? We were cracking up at Debra's when we read that. That's our Sandra! Good idea on Michael McConnoughy (sp?). You have good taste. I like some older actors, but can't picture them nude. EWWWW as Traci would say. Scarey.

Wendy, isn't the arrivals where poor Skipper should have picked you up? I'm confused too. Glad Baby got back in the car. I freak out when Tillie gets out and there are cars around. I sound like a crazy lady. Thank you so much for the foot care products. Looks like a pampering session is in store for me soon. Maybe this weekend when the weather gets warmer and my feet are needing some attention from pedaling in my biking shoes. So you baked some pies already? I'm going to bake that one soon. It sounds delish!!! I'm thinking it would be nice to take over to my Dad this Friday as I missed his birthday on Sunday. He'd absolutely love it. Oh, I love how I get ideas while I'm talking to y'all. I'll have a beer! Glad you caught up on the sleeping. I'm feeling okay, but maybe I'll get sluggish and crash at work tomorrow. I know exactly what you mean about Jari Love. She seems so "scripted" and restrained. However, I did get some good results after P90X doing her workouts and Slim Series. LOL, I just caught your STD. You are soooo bad. No welcome back dinner from the Cap'n. He had not lifted a paintbrush all morning. Finally did. I go outside and the neighbor boy is helping him. A Tom Sawyer moment for sure. Oh well, at least there is some progress. He'll be moving furniture tomorrow while the carpet cleaning guy does his thing. Now he'll see how the other side lives. Love it. Is it shush (as in hush), or shush (as in push)?

Laurie, so happy to get to finally meet you!!! Loved, loved, loved the DVD you showed us. And who'd have thought you and Debra could put down 8 bottles of wine in one evening? My DH was very happy that Karl Edwards one with his Ford. He's got something against Chevy's for some reason. I think Karl Edwards rides mtn. bike too, if I remember right. Good job on the 1 1/2# down. I'm staying away from any scale as I think I ate cheesecake each day I was at Debra. Who brought that over there anyway? I'm in Cheesecake withdrawals right now. It's not pretty LOL! Your DD is probably taller than I am. Sad. I always wished I was taller.

Sandra, I looked on the American Airlines map when I was on the plane. I saw that Edmonton is pretty darned close to where I live. Hooray! Oh yes, Debra has Amy's ASCII so I decided to work on some of it. I did the preview moves okay, but the actual workout is going to need some concentration and lots of rewinding. I tried for a little while, then switched to 4DS HIS. I'll definitely order it. I also got my new jersey. It's not as colorful as the newer sunflower one that I bought last year but I like it anyway. It's sleeveless so I have to wait until our temps are at least out of the 50's. Seems like everyone is doing GS Legs. Will see how I feel tomorrow. No thanks on the nude yoga. I'm having flashbacks to the movie "Sideways". You have no idea how embarrassing it was to watch that movie with my parents. They had purchased it at an auction, mostly because a lot of the scenery was purchased around their home town. Definitely NOT their kind of movie. After a while, all I could do was just laugh.

Well, the aliens have been destroyed and it's almost 10:30 p.m.

Will talk to you lovelies tomorrow,

Jeanette
