Good Morning Girls. :)

Diana: If you have truly lost interest in running, don't force it. Did you over-do it training for the full mary when your heart wasn't truly in it? Perhaps you should put the race on hold entirely and just start running for the joy of it again and see where that takes you. Congrats on getting your old job back. That's wonderful news. Now let's hope November gets here quickly!

So my legs don't hurt...YET...We'll see what happens as the day progresses. :p

Today's work out will be a run for certain. I'm shootin' for a 6 miler outside I think. After that I have CTX biceps/shoulders on tap but that could change. LOL
I still don't know what I want to do for my next rotation. If I get inspired before starting my weight work today then I will likely blow off that last little bit of CTX and start something new. ;)

BBL.

good mornin',

diana- i totally agree with wendy re: the running. congrats on getting the previous job back!

wendy- as far as workouts i am sure you will come up with something good!

yesterday wound up being an unscheduled rest day. no worries i will make it up later in the week.

this morning i did a workout from the lastest muscle and fitness hers. really enjoyed it. took me about 50 mins afterwards i ran on the tm for 15 mins. burned a good amount of calories this am, gotta love it!!

have an awesome day ladies, gotta get the kiddies to school and mama to work...;o)

Hey Sunny! So when will you start Red Carpet Ready-is it the same target date that you had set for the X?

I am having a heck of a time deciding what I want to do. It's so hard to figure out since I have to run 4 days per week and they can't all be easy 3 milers! LOL

Good Morning Ladies,

I'm sipping my coffee while deciding what upper body w/o to do this morning. I tend to overdo cardio while following WW since you get more activity points for cardio than you do for lifting.

I was enjoying my early morning runs in the cooler temps. It was so nice and reminded why I liked running so much. With my new-old position it shouldn't be a problem getting out at lunch to run or to the rec ctr.

Wendy-Let us know what rotation you come up with. Enjoy your 6 miles outside!

Sunny-I have few MF hers I've saved just for their workouts. Glad you enjoyed your w/o.

Have a great day ladies.

Morning Ladies!

Well I drug my sore body to class and SIL had already set up for 4 step class .. so I sucked it up and went ahead and tackled it .. OH MY did those push ups hurt .. SIL was hurting so bad she just stopped and looked at me a couple of times and shook her head .. "no way" .. LOL!!! {{ insert evil grin }} .. and I must say I am glad I tackled it .. b/c it was a sweatfest and it managed to work some of the DOMS out!! Now mind you I am still "doming" in the chest and shoulders but fear I would have been worse if I didn't work it out last night!!:D

Today is my official rest day - getting a new do at lunch and no class tonight .. think the bod needs some recovery time anyway ... there will be a short run/walk w/my doggies this afternoon!!

Wendy - good luck w/the 6 miler today!! I am sure you will come up w/some sort of rotation that will fit w/the race training .. heck play it by ear .. glad you liked the dance class .. that is something NOT for me .. I would like a total spaz!!!!

Jacque - how was the Sharks game - hope your team won!! since I dont have a fav. hockey team .. I can say .. "Go Sharks!!!" woo hoo!!!

Ang - so glad it was good positive news on the biopsy ... now mind the Dr. and do not overdo it .. thinking a brisk walk wont hurt .. but NO running {{ shaking finger at Miss Angie }} :)

Dee Dee - sometimes an unplanned rest day is THE BEST isnt it??

Di - sounds like you are excited going back to the prv job and prv boss .. WOO HOO .. come on November!!! :D Hey .. nothing better than cooler temps to renew the love for running .. it was actually 58 degrees this morning .. I would have loved nothing better than to stay at home strap on my running shoes and hit the trails in the woods!! Fall is near my dear!!

Jen - what is on tap for today's w/o??

allrighty Ladies .. gotta force myself to hit the stack of paperwork the boss kindly put on my desk!! I will BBL after the haircut and color and report on if I like it .. I am going to the same stylist I used last time that I loved .. gonna go darker .. and tell her do whatever she wants w/my hair .. just make it new  OY hope I dont regret it!! LOL Have a great one!!

Hola Chiquitas!!

This morning was Shoulders and Arms. Tonight I'll do ARX. I ran out of time this morning, mainly because the house was 64 degrees when I woke up, and it was NOT easy getting out from under the covers! Add to that the fact that I have to go out to the garage to work out, which I figured was probably even colder than the house, it's a miracle I got up at all today :p I'm sportin' some serious DOMS from Core Syn the other day, too. My body really just wanted to stay horizontal this morning. But I didn't listen to it!!

Wendy, as if running 4 days a week plus the mileage you're putting in isn't enough? Maybe just throw in two total body workouts of your choice and call it a rotation? IDK *shrug* Gotta tell ya, 18 miler, marathon (words that aren't in my vocabulary;))... you're a powerhouse already. Just do something fun on the other days.

Deedee, I love me my rest days ;)

Laura, good luck with the new do!! That's exciting. Can't wait to hear how you like it!

Angie, glad to hear the biopsy went well. That's a stressful thing. I'm sure a couple days of rest will do you some good.

Jacque, hope you had fun at the game!

Sorry to kind of hit and run, but the office is "a-buzz" this week with fiscal year end, so my forum time is severely hindered! Oy, the nerve of work getting in the way ;):D Forgive me if I missed anyone!

BBL~

Jen

Happy Hump Day Ladies !

Quickly checking in before work.

Still SO VERY SORE from 90X Chest & Back on Mon, but got in a good Shoulders & Arms. Was amazed at the energy I felt - Yee Haw !:D

No time for personals right now - didn't even read today's thread yet , but wanted to post this which I have on my home computer.

I found this some day or another on this forum and thought it might help some of you teetering on the edge of 90X. It is a cross between Cathe and 90X but with the same intent:

4323, 90-Day Hybrid Rotation with Hardcore Series and P90X
Posted by The Duck, Sat Nov-19-05 11:23 AM
Well, after a year with P90X, I've decided to begin using Cathe's Hardcore Series as added variety (and, from what I've read, more intense cardio and legs workouts.

I've enjoyed reading lots of monthly rotation posts, and FWIW I'm posting my effort at a P90X-like 90day (13 week) rotation that features three phases: 3 weeks upper/cardio, recovery, different 3 weeks (swapping Tony and Cathy)+recovery, then 4 alternating weeks and a final recovery.

I got my very best results with P90X when I followed the 3 phases of P90X's nutritional program, so don't overlook food - especially if you're trying to lose weight during the 90 days!

Hybrid 90-day Rotation using P90X and Cathe Hardcore Series:

Phase 1 - Week 1-3 (Tony upper and legs&back; Cathy Cardio, Cathy abs):

Tuesday: P90X Shoulders & Arms, Cathe Coremax # 2
Wednesday: Cathe High Step Challenge
Thursday: P90X Legs & Back, Cathe Coremax # 3
Friday: Cathe Kick Max

Tuesday: Cathe Stretch Max

Thursday: Cathe Core Max #1,2 and 3
Friday: P90X Kempo-X
Saturday: P90X X-Stretch or Rest

Phase 2 - Week 5-7: (Cathy upper and legs, Tony Cardio and abs)

Monday: P90X Plyometrics

Tuesday: P90X X-Stretch
Wednesday: P90X Kempo-X
Thursday: P90X Core

Hybrid 90-day Rotation using P90X and Cathe Hardcore Series

BBL at my break ! :p

Hi Ladies.

CTX shoudlers and biceps + my run is done. I opted for a short n fast 3 miles this morning-felt good! I'll run longer tmrw on the tm with Grace or Sean I think. ;)

I think I will take Jen's suggestion regarding my next rotation but with a little twist on it. I will do 2 full body work outs each week EXCEPT for LONG run weeks (mileage of 10+). Those weeks I will do one full body work out early in the week and one upper body only work out closer to the run so as not as be running long distances on tired/sore legs. Keepin' it simple sounds good to me! Thanks for not allowing me to over-think it any longer, girl! :)

It's very important to me to keep up with the weight work. I've worked very hard to acheive the muscles and definition that I have. I soooo don't want to lose it...or I atleast want to hold on to as much as I can while training for my race(s). I know I can't expect to build right now but I don't want to wither away to nothing either. ;)

Wow, it just occured to me that if I wanted to stick with this simple yet brilliant rotation plan that I probably have enough work outs including Cathe's premixes that I won't have to do the same work out TWICE for the next 21 weeks if I didn't want to! How awesome is that!?!? :D

Alrighty...gotta grab some grub and then start cleanin' the house!

BBL though!

Ok so I haven't been a whirl wind of cleaning as of yet today. I vacuumed though the living room and my work out room though. That's gotta count for something right? ;)

I should go clean the kitchen. It's my fave room to clean so why not? LOL

I should also dust and do more laundry and pick up clutter but perhaps that can wait!:p

Off to make myself look useful for the dog!:D

Well ladies, not feeling the love at work today

So I am back already ! :p

Last night was fun - I enjoy seeing all the newbies and it is fun to try to assess how the season will go with the new line combinations that you see preseason. Lots of youngin's they pulled up for the night - we'll see who makes the cut.

Wendy - good for you concentrating on your running - it should take first place but I'm glad that you are going to do some weight work too in order to stay strong and fit ! ;)

Sunny - those workouts in M & F look good, but I was never a gym member so ended up not taking the mag any more. Not sure I will ever join again now that I have found so many great at home DVD's and all of you ladies to spur me on the the latest and greatest at home workouts !

Diana - good to hear you so excited about going back to your old job - even better that you will be able to run more for the enjoyment of it ! :D Have to let you know I do own a Mario Lemieux jersey in addition to my Cheechoo jersey ! :p I was so sorry to see that we only play the Avs once this year ! Last year it was a blast 'cuz we always seemed to have great games (think we lost quite a few, but they were good !) We can make a pact to just say "GO Hockey !" LOL !

Poochy - HB a bit early - and I must say 42 would sound really nice these days as the aches and pains are creeping in. Oh well, I feel better these days from my workouts than I did 8 years ago so I guess the little things really don't matter. Have fun with the new "do". I just did the same thing last week with a little highlighting and a cut. Not really a new cut though. Please let us know . . . Enjoy your rest day too. Doing this "X" I can't wait for my rest day ! ! !

Jen - I'm with you on the workout - need to do AbX after work too. Good to hear someone else with a "funky" fiscal year end. Our year goes May 1 to April 30. Used to fit in with the growing season since we make produce boxes. DOMS from Core Syn, huh? May do that instead of Yoga tomorrow . . . hmmmmm.

BBL to check on y'all - I used to be the last poster but this is kinda nice. Much more chatty bunch than when we had the "other thread". :D I like the comraderie (sp?).

Back from the stylist!! :D

I AM LOVING it .. the color is perfect .. a DARK brownish blonde .. what I call dirty blonde ... she did all low lites .. she admitted she got it too blonde last time .. that was the first time she did it and she said she was shocked it turned out so light .. but this time is PERFECT .. just what I wanted.

she cut it in layers all over .. .. my coworker about passed out when she saw me .. well one reason she curled it and it is "poofy" ... TOO poofy for me .. but CUTE cut!

This calls for a picture today b-4 it gets all messed up w/the walk/running of the dogs!! Will try to snap a shot!!!;)

wendy- that actually sounds like a very wise plan. yes, i will begin RCR next monday. nice job on the cleaning. i got your message on facebook. so happy joey is enjoying his new school!

poochy- your hair sounds so nice. pics are in order, lol

jen- S&A is my favoritest X workout!

diana- what UB workout did you decide on?? inquiring minds want to know...hehehe

jacque- the workout i did today was an at home workout. so it was perfect! i think i will do it again on friday before buckling down with RCR.

I second it - pics Poochy, pics ! :p

Dee Dee - do you have a universal or something similar at home? All I have are free weights and seems the M & F were with machines? Not quite ready to ditch the bed out of my extra room/exercise room yet. Need the last kid to "split from home". :D

Gonna vent now: feeling like I'm just not with it at work and being shot at for everything I am doing (or not doing I guess).  :(

Think I need a dose of Coach Sean afterwork ! Whatcha ladies think?

Got some cleaning to do too, that always ups my blahs too !

Any other ideas ? ? ?

Hola X'ers;)

Wow - it's 80 degrees here today. It sure doesn't feel like the first day of fall. If it stays like this, we'll definitely go camping again.:) But, I think it's supposed to cool off next week.

So it's rest day for me, even though I feel great and don't wanna rest.:( But, I know I have to. We'll probably take Maggie for a walk later on though. So, I should take advantage of this free hour and tackle the basement. My poor pantry still needs attention. I will probably workout tomorrow though.....either a CC or IMAX2 with abs.

Wendy - Somehow I can't picture you groovin'.:p Glad you had fun with it. I don't think you are as choreo-adverse as you think you are. Good for you for trying something new.
"Don't put those veges in the frig, eat them" - ummmmm 4 bags of carrots, a package of green beans, a package of mushrooms, and a bag of spinach??? Sorry - no can do! LOL! That would not have been pretty.:p
So are the legs hurtin yet?

Diana - Oh joy on the job change!:D:) That's great news! I'm so happy for you. So your hours will be more flexible again and no co-workers right next to you?

Dee Dee - I've heard so much about M&F hers. Would you recommend it to someone who only works out at home?
I saw a post on the OF about www.figureathlete.com and I found a bunch of great articles and workouts on there too.

Laura - You are like the energizer bunny. (insert pink rabbit with drum) Poor SIL!:p She's gonna put some prunes in your cereal or something to try and slow you down.
You're not gonna let this hairdresser go are you? So glad she nailed it! A great new do feels so good doesn't it??:)

Jen - Good for you for draggin your butt out of bed. I'm not generally a morning exerciser, but do it sometimes just to shake things up.....but admittedly not often enough. It IS hard getting up early to exercise.

Jacque - I saw that rotation and I think I have done it before. The X is way more fun with both Tony and Cathe!! Is this what you are going to do?
I so look forward to the rest day on the X too! It is soooo deserved.
Hmmmmm - Coresyn in lieu of yoga - what a great idea!!
I like the larger thread too! We'll have to give Wendy kudos for that.;)
ETA - Go with Sean for sure! He's good at taking away the blahs! Cracking up at Jen's suggestions too. Ummmm yup - that'll work too!

Ta ta

jacque- this workout requires no equipment except a bench and a pair of dumbbells. cleaning cheers you up? can you come to my house, lol.

angie- i do love alot of their articles. haven't done too many workouts from them as there is always some new dvd coming out:eek:. they have a tank top UB workout in there this month i want to try also. it's running on the TM for 10 mins and then hopping off and doing ie. shoulders then back on the TM and then off for another UB exercise. i do this with my clients sometimes. maybe i will try it myself:eek:

Jacque: Your sports talk totally lost me! It's okay though. I'm not a sports fan so I don't really need to understand it anyway! No offense ofcourse!:p :D Yay for the DOMS. You'll probably have alot of it in the coming weeks. The X was always a promise of DOMS for me!

Sunny: Great work out today. I can't wait to hear what RCR does for you. I know you are a big fan of heavy lifting and have been for quite some time. What made you decide you wanted to give RCR a try?

Angie: LOL, thanks for the vote of confidence in my groovin' abilities! :p Actually, your intuition on that count is correct. I am a horrible dancer usually. I can country dance and I can slow dance but anything else? Forgetaboutit! It was still fun to TRY though!;) OMG, I could SMELL the outcome of you eating all of those veggies as I was reading your response! I am sitting here with a clothespin on my nose as I type this!:p

Jen: You and I have to go out partyin' together! Every single drink you mentioned is just AWESOME! In fact, when I was bartending this weekend I found out about a drink that is supposed to taste like vanilla icecream! It was a liquer called "43" and it was mixed with half-n-half (you can use milk too). I wasn't allowed to sample it but the next time I am out some where I am going to ask for one! Sounds YUMMY! :)

I think that about catches me up. DH is workin' o/t tonight so I'm off to make DS and myself something simple for dinner.

BBL!

Thanks for the support ladies ! I knew I could count on you to make me smile and giggle ! :D

I'm with Wendy on your ideas Jen ! Haven't tried a few, but the wine and mudslides sound like a winner !

Angie - I'm going to see how long I can last with the Classic rotation but Wendy has informed me about exercise ADD so we will see ! ;) May end up either going to the Lean rotation or the one I posted. I'd like to at least stick with the 90X weight workouts - problem is I can barely use my UB right now . Typing is about it . . . LOL, you should see me trying to get dressed - front hook, back hook, not easy to do either ! We have 90' yesterday and today - think the calendar was fooling us.

Guess I'll try to get back to work, again ! :p

Hi Ladies,

I ended up doing 4DS CST this morning and yes, I ran at lunch. It was a short 30 minute run but I did it...finally. No more excuses. I do not think I will be prepared for the marathon though since the family tragedy occurred and I stopped running. I do feel confident enough for the HM though. It probably won't be a PR but should be doable. I'm still considering that.

Laura-SIL can't blame you if the w/o was hard since she set up for it in the first place! Can't wait to see pics of the new 'do.

Jen-OM, 64 degrees inside. I would've definitely stayed under the covers. Good for you completing S&A in the cold temps!

Jacque-thanks for the hybrid rotation, I'm going to peruse that one and see what I think about it. I love the "GO HOCKEY", that will work out perfect for us. What a great idea. Sorry you're having a bad day. Follow Jen's suggestion and you will be just fine, or at least you won't care anymore.

Angie-Glad you feeling fine today. The temps here have been in 80's. Today was about 78 and perfect for running.

bbl

*SIGH* I don't like listenin' to the prez most normal days, but he's interupting the episode of Criminal Minds I've been waitin' for all week and that just p*sses me off!!

Diana, tomorrow I may not be so determined ;) Tho' it is warmer here tonight.

Jacque, I forgot margaritas! Hope you found a healthy way to destress!

Wendy, you have created for me a new mission!! I'm certain we would be bad influences on each other ;) But I'm tellin' ya, if you want to meet me in Connecticut sometime :D I know a place we could party juuuust fiiiiiine!!

Oh yay, my show is finally on!

See you all in the a.m.

Jen
