Hi Girls.

Today's work out plan is Leaner Legs (or some other endurance leg torture), ab work and a class at the gym called Group Groove (dancing).

I have the rest of my work outs written down for the week. I will be ready for the X come Monday....I HOPE! LOL

Gotta get the little guy up...sorry for lack of personals lately....BBL!

Good morning ladies,

Ok let me start off by saying I am now thinking of not doing the X next week. (wendy, i know, i know alot of nerve). I was going to do it with dh, however I am now leaning towards a program that i've had for awhile called red carpet ready. It's different from what we've been programmed to do for such a long while. it's actually (gulp) a program using only light weights to no weights. I've been lifting heavy for awhile and am interested to see what this type of program could do for my body. It is 3 fullbody workouts (including small muscles) and 3 cardio days. I plan on hanging out here unless you decide to boot me off because I won't be Xing it. I did Jari love's ripped and chiseled for the first time last week and it almost did me in.

angie- i taught a total body conditioning class. full body resistance training with cardio intervals. tough stuff! i am excited about the blog update. i only bought mesocycle #2.

wendy- how are you feeling today? what are you thoughts on chalean extreme? i am over the top interested!!

angie- i did not do a complete rotation with nrol i mainly stuck to one workout and did other stuff since i thought i was going to be doing the X for 90 days. i am sure i would have gotten great results had i would have practiced clean eating

jacque- no real results as like i told angie my eating was the pits. not sure what has gotten into me. except i just went back to work full time and am getting used to my new schedule. i have a slight dread factor to the X because of all of the push ups.

have a great day all!!

ETA: wendy you didn't see i started the thread this morning, lol. please don't throw anything at me.....lol

Hey gurls!

I did Cardio X this morning. It wasn't bad...in a kind of "cliff's notes" sort of way? While I wouldn't say it was strenuous, I liked that it incorporated a little bit of yoga, plyo, agility, kickboxing. Kind of kept it interesting for this girl who has a habit of constantly gravitating toward the treadmill, you know? I'll also take my lunchtime walk and feel good about the day ;)

Dee Dee I've heard good things about the Red Carpet Ready program. I'll be interested to hear what you think. I chose the Lean Rotation for the same reason you're thinking about RCR...I've been doing heavy weights for a while now and feel like I need to scale that back and focus on fat burning.

Wendy, back to leaning toward the X? Gotta tell ya, I'm gaining a new appreciation for it. With the heavier emphasis on cardio in the Lean rotation and the incorporation of the total body workouts like Core Syn and Yoga X, it's a nice change for me (even though I'm not a huge yaga fan). When I was thinking about the traditional X rotation, I was filled with dread though. Considering you're training for the 18 miler right now, maybe you want to consider the Lean rotation for the less intense weight training? Just a thought :)

Okay, gotta work for a bit. Will try very hard to BBL to catch up with everone else.

Jen

Good Morning Ladies,

I'm up a bit later than usual this morning. I didn't sleep very well. I've decided to do 4DS bootcamp cardio only this morning. If I can get to the rec ctr at lunch I'll hit chest & triceps and do more of those killer running intervals on the track.

Wendy-have fun with leaner legs, gotta love that workout!

DeeDee-RCR sounds a lot like slim series from what I've heard here. SS is not for me! I didn't care for the Jari Love's and gave them to another Catheite. Let us know how you like RCR.

Jen-wow, you actually like the "dreadmill" as we call it. I can only run outside, I have a terrible time on the treadmill. Cardio X was a nice change of pace for you!

Morning Ladies!

OK girls .. we are gonna have to change the name to "part time X'ing -exercise ADD" group .. LOL!!! I am gonna stick to my own rotation of the X combined w/my reg. classes .. so it is not a given set in stone plan .. but I have not been lifting really heavy .. been doing more body weighted exercises w/some lighter weights/high reps .. so feel the need for some of the X heavier lifting specifically focused exercises! ;) .. at least that is the plan so far .. lol!!!

C&B has left me w/DOMS in the entire chest region .. my class has left me w/DOMS in the entire LOWER BODY region!! :D Since the X was a bit harder than I remembered I opted for circuit class longer step segments and lower body shaping (triple sets) ... YOWZA!!! Ended w/some core work emphasizing oblique work ... and yes a few DOMS there too!!

Today is arms and shoulders at lunch ... tonight's class will be 4 step - plyo/push up/core torture!! might as well attack those sore muscles w/a vengence!!!

Jen .. LOL about the "cliff notes" cardio X .. LOL .. that is funny .. I could not bring myself to do cardio X .. I usually subbed one of my w/os or Cathe' workouts for that one!!

DeeDee - teaching a fitness class and the X can be a challenge . . and even if you dont do the X stick around here .. you will see we all will probably end up jumping around the X ... LOL!!!

Wendy - this is an unusual trend for you this week huh?? Just go w/the flow and pick up the X next week ..

Ang - ya my birthday is Thursday.... I plan on dragging out the celebration as long as possible!! LOL My boss was so sweet to remind me Friday that this was the last weekend I would ever be 41 .. GEE THANKS!!!! I am gonna treat myself to a new hairdo tommorrow (going dark again and may try a new cut) ... DH is off tonight so we may have our own celebration tonight ;)

Di .. I want to see some pics of your legs .. geeze .. that is some heavy squating ...girl you gotta have legs of steel!! LOL

OK girlies ... I will BBL for the rest of the personals and to check in to see what everyone is up to .. have a great one .. and great sweaty workouts!!:D

Top of the morning to you ladies !

Popping in just in case I get something done at work today !

Finished Plyo X workout but only got about half of it in - tired anyway !:p DS needed a jump start and need to head to work early cuz I'll be taking off early. Sharks opening night for season ticket holders only - they play a game amongst the squad. Should be fun !

I am thoroughly sore in the UB after X Chest & Back yesterday. We'll see how it goes with Shoulders tomorrow. May adjust to the Lean rotation depending on how my weight/fat % goes with the Classic. I was going to do a more leaning type of rotation this go round since I did 4DS and CTX last month.

Wendy - Leaner Legs keeps me sore for days every time ! Enjoy but don't over do it so you can still run !

Dee Dee - please continue to check in here and let us know about RCR. I read a few things on it a while back - sounds like a good program for leaning out. I like hearing about different workouts, remember me? I'm the "follower", LOL !

Jen - In skimming my rotation it seems Cardio X isn't in there - Tony mentioned it during Plyo saying it was a bit less intense. If you want die hard like an Imax, do Plyo ! It will work you hard and tones the legs too.

Diana - I really enjoy the 4DS series - hope your workout went well, weights too !

BBL at lunch to check in . . .

Morning Xers

OK, so maybe we're not all X'ers, but we are all exercisers right?? Good enough for me.:D

I did S&A today even though I was supposed to do a plyo. But, I have a breast biopsy this afternoon and I know a UB X workout would be out of the question for tomorrow. Hopefully I can put in a CC or a run tomorrow. I'll ask the Dr. and make sure though. But, at least this way I can get in all the heavy weight workouts and pretty much stay on track with the rotation.

Wendy - *lol* re: TV. I'm looking forward to lipstick jungle again. I think it's on Thrus. isn't it? I love my evening TV. I would get so much more done if I didn't veg in front of the computer and TV at night.

Di - I knew I would get an IMAX3 vote from you.:p Maybe later in the week I can still squeeze it in.
You're almost done with BC aren't you? At least until the next round of the meltdown class.
Are you still doing that half mary?
Good luck getting to the rec ctr. at lunch today.

Dee Dee - I would love to hear your thoughts and results with the RCR. I haven't heard anything about it. Is it a book or DVD program?
What made you decide on meso #2?
I hear you on the X dread! I hate push ups and am not too crazy about pull ups either, but they do give me great results.
Clean eating is definitely my problem too. (sigh) I know I'll never be a wonderful eater since my will power resisting chocolate and other goodies just doesn't exist. I just try to minimize the damage by eating small amounts.....not an easy task, esp. during PMS.

Jen - I have only done CardioX once. It had too much Yoga in it for me. I love doing cardio, but prefer the EXT or Cathe to fit that bill.;) I do plyoX too, but I wouldn't exactly say that it was fun.

Laura - You are a walking DOM!:p
Hopefully you'll get that hairdresser that made you so happy the last time. You have had great luck with your hair lately. I hope I haven't just jinxed you.
Any fishing plans this weekend? Or are you just going to continue the celebration??:D

Jacque - Hope you have fun tonight. I'll bet that's exciting for your whole family.
I'm sure doing half of plyo was still enough to get the blood runnin and the sweat drippin.

Gotta go, but I'll BBL

Angie

Ohhh .. Ang ..

{{ did S&A today even though I was supposed to do a plyo. But, I have a breast biopsy this afternoon and I know a UB X workout would be out of the question for tomorrow }}

sending good positive vibes for you today .. didn't realize that was gonna be so soon!! think and STAY positive!!! :) and do not overdo tommorrow .. running might be pushing it girlie!!!

Sunny: I am not looking to jump on Chalean Extreme. I will wait for reviews. Many are very excited about it though. I got a preview disc of one of the work outs with my last One on One installment and it just didn't thrill me. If you want to check it out I will be more then happy to mail the disc off to you if you PM me your address. You can just keep it. Just let me know. :)
Also, seeing as how you are thinking of not doing the X after all, I may go the endurance route with you. I really enjoyed CTX this past month and I really think a less intense endurance routine will be better for me right now then a super intense X rotation. I really need to save the X for when I don't have to concentrate so heavily on running or cardio in general, actually. (Sorry girls!) I too plan to stick around here anyway though. I was an original member of both check ins. They are not allowed to kick me outta here!;)

Just reporting ... shoulders and arms done!! upper body officially RE-fried!! eerrrr .. I may have to re-think my 4 step pushup/core/pluo class ... .. it would be bad for the instructor to not be able to do the pushups b/c she fried her upper body at lunch!! SIL is begging me not to do the 4 step class . . LOL .. oh yes she is doing the X with me .. HER idea!!!

Ok .. arms are shaking too bad to type much .. LOL .. will BBL to check in w/you gals!!:D

Hey Girls! Just finished Glute Camp. Haven't done that one in a while. I forgot how much it hurts! LOL Hopin' to get to the gym for a 4:30 class this afternoon called Group Groove. It's a choreographed cardio dance routine. I've heard it's fun so we'll see!

BBL to finish up personals!:)

I vote that X could stand for Exercise - good idea Angie !

Main thing about the posts is that we keep ourselves accountable and motivate each other.

To heck with the need to be doing exactly the same program ! :p

ETA: Variety is the spice of life !

I'm back..............

The biopsy went off without a hitch.....didn't feel a thing.:) It is a superficial lump so it was easy for him to get at. He said that he is 99% sure it is a fibrous adenoma, which is quite common and nothing to worry about. He said that in his 20+ yrs of doing this that he has been thrown a couple of curves however, which is why he wanted to do the biopsy, just to be on the safe side. I totally agree! So, I should know by Friday or Monday.

Jacque - I totally agree with your last post!;)

Wendy - Don't sweat it! Heck, you'll probably change your mind by next week and end up doing the X anyways.:p

Laura - The doc gave me "the look" when I asked him if I could run tomorrow. He asked "how far?" I told him just for an hour or so.... LOL! He said not to do anything for a couple of days. Dang it! I knew that's what he was gonna say. But, I don't want to go back for the follow up so I'll be good. Maybe just a walk for the next couple of days. I think I should be good to go on Friday with L&B.

Gotta go and clean up some.... Bought some veges, so now I gotta find room in the frig for them.

Angie

Sounds like great news will be on your horizon soon ! And ya know we're all gonna tell you to take it easy ! :p Better safe than sorry and you will get done what you wanted do to today soon enough.

Until tomorrow . . .

Hey Girly Girls!;)

Well I took the Groove class. CUTE! All kinds of dancing skits goin' on there. They had disco, hip hop and latin. Those are what I remember off the top of my head. I didn't exactly "get" it all but I did the best I could, worked up a sweat and had a little fun in the process. I'd definately take that class again. :)

Ang: Phew, glad to hear you are 99% cleared on the medical front! Can't wait to hear that it's 100!:) Don't find room in the fridge for the veggies girl..just EAT them!:p I thought I heard that Lipstick Jungle is comin' back on the 24th which is tmrw. I'll have to find out. I want to tivo it so I'll have to look it up! Sorry I'm flakin' out on the X for now  but it really doesn't mesh well with my race training and the race training is the most important thing right now. I know you are cool with it but I just wanted to explain why I'm backin' out.

Jacque: Yes, variety IS the spice of life. I agree! That's why I don't mind my exercise ADD!:p Oh, btw, I make sure I do my leg work out early enough in the week so that the DOMS is GONE before my long runs!!!!Enjoy the Sharks tonight!!!

Laura: Can't wait to hear what you are your fried upper body decided on for class tonight! LOL

Jen: The X is a fantastic program but I am not going to do it afterall. It's just not a good match with my race training. Truth be told, if I had my druthers I'd probably FINALLY be trying NROL4W right now but again, not a good match for my race training. And if this 18 miler goes well then I am going to start training for a march marathon so there is no end in sight.

Diana: I had to LOL at your comment to Sunny regarding Red Carpet Ready and how its sounds similar to SS. I still want to do another SS rotation but it's not gonna happen for a while. Although they are endurance work outs, they are just too long to pair up with race training. I hope you got to the rec ctr today like you wanted to. So when will you start running again?

Okay, I think I got everyone except Sunny whom I wrote to earlier in the day. I was carrying around a case of the guilts for not posting personals the past couple of days so I feel better now. :)

Gotta get a bath ready for DS now!

BBL maybe!

Hey Ladies,

Work was so busy I never even got away for lunch. I ended up eating lunch at my desk at 3:30. I did enjoy 4DS BC cardio though this morning! I need to do something to get the blood pumping in the morning.

Good News-I was told to today I'm being moved back to my previous job with my previous boss!!!!! I'm so excited!! Of course it won't happen until the first week of Nov and it's not "official" yet. October is going to be a long month.

Jacque-enjoy the game. Sorry I can't in all honesty say "Go Sharks" for you since I'm a die hard AVS fan. You understand I'm sure. :D I do hope you and you family have a great time though!

Angie-hope the results are negative, my fingers are crossed. You should probably take it easy as prescribed.

Wendy-Running, what's that...Oh yeah, I was training for a mary wasn't I. I don't really know what I'm going do or when I will get my rear in gear running again. I need to get myself back out there-no excuses. Tomorrow is sounding good. I'll let you know.

Laura-Sounds to me like you consider DOMS a birthday celebration;) You need to stretch out your birthday celebration as long as possible! Hope you like the new 'do!
