Good afternoon, ladies!
Yikes, I can't believe it's afternoon, actually! Where has this day gone? I had an eye doctor's appointment this morning and didn't get in to work until 10, so it's flying. And yes, I need some glasses
This morning was a cardio morning, so I did the all step premix on Cardio Fusion. It was a great workout and a lot of fun. I'm lovin' these dvds lately.
Life has been insanely busy lately and I haven't had much time to be checking in lately, but I did go back and scan the weekend threads...so here's my attempt at catching up
The pup is doing GREAT! OMG, I love her so much. This is supposed to be a temporary situation until the dEXh gets better living arrangements, but I've already decided that there's no way in he** he's ever getting her back. She's
my baby now and he's going to have to run me over to get to her. While the leash training isn't exactly coming along as well as I'd like it to, it's only because I've been so short on time these past few days that when I take her out for a walk (or rather, when she takes me out for a walk), the kids are with me, and it all adds up to too many distractions for her. I haven't been able to spend any time in the yard with her alone yet, but I will.
Wendy, like we need any more excuses to spend money on fitness stuff, right? (Thanks, Ang!) But I read the amazon blurb on that book and I'll definitely be picking that one up! I haven't read his other one, because I figure it's probably along the same lines as what Alwyn et al. have put out, but this new one looks like it touches on some things I'm interested in. How's Joey feeling these days? Is he over his bronchitis?
Diana, it sounds like the instructor is very serious about the holiday meltdown! That's great! I bet this class will be a butt kicker.
Dee Dee, glad to hear you're on the rebound from that nasy cold. I hate this time of year when the kids are back in school and bring home every germ that's floating around. It seems to be starting early this year. I've heard about so many people being sick with terrible colds.
Jacque, are you doing the same rotation as Wendy? I work in a small city, right downtown, so there are plenty of places to walk. (Some more desireable than others

). I found myself a nice, clean, rif-raf free 2.5 mile route that is just enough to clear the head and get the heart pumping a bit. I hate sitting at my desk for 8 hours straight. It's enough to make me want to tear my hair out! It's raining today so I have to skip it

.
Laura, your office sounds like mine yesterday! We have ten people in this office, some are part-time, and yesterday morning there were only four of us here, and by the afternoon we were down to two! Me and the boss! Fortunately, the phones weren't quite as crazy as they tend to be on a Monday. Today we're a little better staffed, but still have two full-timers out sick and one full-timer on vacation. Enjoy torturing your class tonight
Hi to Shirl!
I have tickets to a concert tonight...actually, I bought them for BF, because this is his kind of music (old

)...but I'll be seeing George Winston play his piano at this new-ish theater here in the city. I'm actually looking forward to it, because though it's nothing I would have ever listened to on my own (I'm waaayyy hipper than that!

), his music is absolutely beautiful.
Lunch is almost over, gotta get back to work ~
TTYL,
Jen
P.S. Ang, yay for the bells!! You are going to LOVE them. I'm in search of some new dvds and am thinkin' about Lauren Brooks and AOS Providence. Will likely go with Providence first, and that's got nothing to do with the fact that Anthony is easy on the eyes
