Hey Girls.

OMG, my core has never been so sore in my life! YEOWCH! I don't really feel much in my legs/butt (yet) but my abs/back...HOLY COW! I guess the ab/core work from Centergy class and Joey's oblique torture did the job. The Centergy class is a new routine and it's alot tougher then the previous one. I like it. Ofcourse in November I work EVERY wednesday so I won't be able to make the class unless I go on the weekends or in the evenings if they offer it. If the DOMS in my legs/butt kicks in while my midsection is still this sore, I am in trouble!!!!! Just put me in traction!:p

Jacque: So I just gave the run down on my DOMS...how is yours? :D Too funny that you actually drank a beer before you did your work out! I have heard chugging a beer is good after a hard run/race but I never knew anyone who used it as their PRE-work out meal! My kinda girl!!!!;) Yeah, I'd have to say the execs might be a leetle t'd off if their paychecks bounced! LOL

Diana: Sorry you were low on energy today. I know the feeling. I get like that too. It can be a frustrating feeling but I'm sure it will pass. I got your PM and PM'd ya back!;)

Ang: Don't ya just hate when life prevents you from posting? The nerve! So hey, what ever happened with your cruise booking fiasco? Did everything turn out alright and did you eventually end up booking a vaca??

Good Morning everyone! We're all pretty late today, I see. Except for Wendy, of course ;)

This morning was kind of a lame workout morning. I was so tired, for some reason, but I got my but out there to my garage in 26 degree weather, and popped in Bodymax 2, chose the cardio blast premix, did about 25 minutes of it and then decided I just wasn't feeling it. So I took that out, put in Imax 3, did the first two blasts and then just gave up. Couldn't find that spark that I needed :( Oh well, tomorrow is a new day. I do know where I went wrong, and that was by going with the cardio in the first place. As I was putting my workout clothes on I thought to myself, "Self, what this body needs is a good yoga session!" But I didn't listen...should have listened...

I'm home today with my DS who woke up feeling miserable this morning. He's caught a terrible cold with a low grade fever and body aches. It sounds like the same crud that's wiping out our workforce at work this week. Argh! I'm surrounded! Keeping my fingers crossed (and hands washed) that it passes me by. Maybe I'll get that yoga in today after all.

Wendy, sounds like you punished yourself good! Assuming you're not in traction yet, what do you plan on doing today? For some reason, I suspect you won't be taking a rest day regardless on the DOMS.

I think I'll go make some soup and will check back in later to see what everone is up to~

YEP - Tomorrow is FRIDAY!

Today was BodyMax2 Cardio Blast Premix - that high step after a leg workout really gets to me every time. It has quite a bit of non weighted leg work and the back of my legs was very tired. Only went thorough it once as I had to get to work early. Don't have to cook tonight so may either finish the 2nd time around or do a 30 min. CC.

Wendy - my hams were sooo tight last night after the workout ! Not really sore today, but definitely tired when I worked out this AM. You doing BM2 or another cardio today?

Jen - funny you had the same workout today and the same UGH factor going on. I swear the 35 min. I did dragged out and felt like hours ! I switched out to the lower step once but it was too easy - I needed one in between and it may have worked. Hope DS gets better soon and the germies stay far far away from you. Maybe you can enjoy a day away from work as long as DS doesn't feel too badly.

BBL to check on everyone - one more day . . . . :D

Afternoon girls

I slept in a bit this morning b/c I was up late reading last night. When I get a book, I just get hooked! That's why I don't read much, b/c I can't get anything else done. But, the book I am reading is Epilogue A Memoir about a widow's feeling after losing her husband. I'm pre-viewing it before I give it to MIL. It's not necessarily an enjoyable book, but it is interesting. It sure does give you a different perspective on widowhood. I'm gonna have my mom give it a read before I give it to MIL to get another opinion on whether or not to give it to her. I don't want it to depress her further, but I think it will be comforting for her to know that what she is feeling is normal.

Between breaks in the reading I have been getting the usual cleaning done and trying to decide on what w/o to do today. I have bicep DOMS from B&B and I have yogaX on the schedule for today, which I will NOT be doing. So, I'm thinking RS or SB. I haven't done either of those in a long time and enjoy them both.

Wendy - Ab DOMS....I'm jealous. ARX is no longer giving me DOMS, so I think it is time for something new. Again - STS comes to mind....can't wait!
Are the leg/butt DOMS creeping in yet?

Jen - Funny that today is my yoga day and want to do cardio. *lol*
Are you an airborne believer? It might be worth it just to try and escape the crud. Sorry DS is feeling yucky. Is he at the trick or treater age? Hope it doesn't mess up his halloween. DS14 is stoked about the party at school tomorrow. I'm sure most kids like to go to school on halloween, especially since it falls on a Friday this year.:)
MMmmmmmmm - soup!:D

Jacque - So cool that your team won!:D I'm not much of a hockey fan which is a shame since we have the Redwings. However, we also have the Lions....it all evens out I guess. *lol* I am really going to miss nascar when the season ends though.:( Only 3 more races to go. But, at least the off season is short. They'll start back up again in February.
The sugar is a struggle for me. I've been trying to sub green tea for it after meals.....but it's just not the same - obviously! LOL!
Oh I wish I could (or even wanted) to sew. I send my stuff that needs mending to my mom. I have a set of curtains in my living room that look horrible and wish I could create something or find something else to replace them. One of these days......
Have you tried subbing out the chips for maybe something a bit different like sunchips, peanuts, or string cheese? Not that these choices are "healthy" but maybe just a bit healthier?? Some things just can't be subbed though......like chocolate.....and yes, sometimes even chips.:p

Gotta get back to the vacuum cleaner and washer. Hi to the rest of you girls.
