Gotta love Fridays girls!:D

Diana: My knee started giving me trouble a couple weeks ago. After last week's longish run of just over 9 miles I was VERY sore for the next couple of days even though there were only minimal tweaks of pain DURING the run. I have rested the knee all week and foam rolled it and iced it. Y'day I went out for my first run since Saturday. I ran 3 miles and faired pretty well. Hopefully I'll be okay for Sunday!

Ang: Oh the joys of being a "soccer mom"! LOL I don't know what that's like yet. Quite frankly, I dread it! :eek: Glad you got Yoga X crossed off your list so you can do a work out you enjoy now. :)

Today will either be a rest day or an upper body day. It depends on what I feel like doing when I get home from work.

sorry didn't get a chance to check in yesterday. only had a few computer moments so i popped into the cheetahs den to wish cathy an awesome race!!

wendy- got your pm. did you get mine? so glad to hear the knee is feeling better! are you feeling nervous or ready and roaring to go:D

yesterday i did legs (didn't get them done the day before) so i have some serious legs DOMS. while i was working out i was thinking to myself now this is what i am talking about!!

today is cardio and then later on me and dh are working chest and shoulders!

laura- yep i am a lucky girl. dh is an expert cook and easy on the eyes;)

diana- welcome back! sounds like you had a great time away!!

i will BBL..gotta go thru the last check-in so i can catch up on personals.

Amen sista!! TGIF is right!

This morning was a kettlebell workout for me. I did Iron Core Way Vol. 2 with my 20 lb. kettlebell. Great workout, but I tore my hands to shreds. I've got three very sore blisters on each hand. I wonder if there are gloves or something to combat that? I'm gonna have to search that out and see if I can come up with something. I've heard that a lot of people use chalk, but I don't know...that doesn't really seem like it'd offer much protection.

Dee Dee, glad you're back to enjoying heavy weights!

Wendy, proud of you for taking care of that knee and not overdoing it. You're going to be in prime condition for your run!

Ahhhh yes, Friday it IS!:cool: It's a georgeous day here and it's supposed to be beautiful all weekend long.:) I did CoreSyn this morning and so now I have the rest of the day to play. My HRM says my max HR is 207 during that w/o.:eek: I'll have to keep a closer eye on it and see exactly what exercise it is that causes that spike. I was a sweaty mess. The darned dog kept trying to bite at my hands when I was doing the walking planks.:confused: Mornings are her play time....

Wendy - Oh you'll love the "soccer mom" thing. It does tend to clutter up the schedule a bit, but it really is fun to watch your kid play. This year Cody only chose to do basketball and Cam isn't doing anything this year so that's not too bad at all.
Glad the knee is feeling good.:)

DeeDee - Which leg w/o did you do? Did you do your own mish mosh? I have never done my own circuit weight type of workout and I think I may be selling myself short. I really need to take the time to make up a program and give it a shot.

Jen - Would weight gloves work? I know if I don't wear mine doing the pullups, my hands get really chaffed and sore.

OK - better go get some lunch before the boys get home and then have to high tail it into town. I may have to put some shopmax in today's schedule too.:D

I did Slim and Lean upper body plus Ripped 1000 cardio today for a work out. About to hit the showers. I'll come back later for personals.

Hi Ladies,

I did Rhythmic Step this morning, an oldie but goodie. I had a few missteps as I haven't done this w/o in quite a while. I hit the rec ctr for the butts & guts class at lunch. Our instructor is awesome. She really mixes things up and uses bands, body bars, hand weights, gliding discs etc.

I just found out yesterday my SIL has breast cancer. I should get more information this weekend. I've already lost one SIL to breast cancer. She was only 39yrs.

We have some cold weather coming through and may get snow on Sunday. I'm not ready for that yet.

Sunny-It sounds like DH is still hangin' with you on the X. I think that's great. I wish my DH would w/o w/me or w/o at all.

Jen-I want to get some kettlebells. I had intended to use my birthday money for that but I spent in on my granddaughters instead. Can you use weight lifting gloves?

Angie-Your weather sounds a lot better than mine! You ladies are so good staying with the X. I'm going to review some of the rotations and look for more circuits. I tend to do better with circuits when following WW. My weight plateaus a lot when doing heavy wts and WW. I'm hoping this will kickstart some weightloss!

Jacque-Hi Jacque, thanks for dropping in. Hopefully you'll have some free time soon!!!

Wendy-glad you enjoyed your w/o (you know how I feel about those UUGHH). Now that you mention it, most of my running injuries don't hurt during running-but when i'm not running. Go figure. You will love being a "soccer mom". I've been part of the parent teacher org (pto) for 15 years, numerous sports booster clubs etc. You can't complain if you're not involved- and I always have something to say:)
