Did you read the article the NYT, I think it was, wrote about her site and all her ventures? There's something I so don't like about her-from her "workouts" with Tracy Anderson to her website. I think she's very condescending in her tone-blech!

What I find bizarre about Gwyn is how she describes on that site how she was looking for a detox program that was "a little less hallucenogenic" (dont know if I spelled that right or not) but that is freaking SCARY. Don't you think? Then she puts a menu out for detox and most of it is like juices and stuff. I would drop over if I ate like her. My blood sugar drops if I don't eat regularly and "the right stuff" - I seem to recall she ended up in the hospital a few years ago and the rumor was that her detox had gone all wrong or something.

Another link in her site talks about how she went to some guru because her immunity wasn't bouncing back and she felt run down - well HELLLOOOOO! You haven't eaten enough to keep a bird alive - what in the world do you expect?

Now this is just my opinion - but I personally think detox programs are a scam. These stupid shows want to make us think we're all bound up - like we've all got bags of grass clippings, old stereo wire and all the lost socks in our intestines so we've got to purge that; like our gut gets a build up on it like the water pipes in our house. I think it's nonsense. Anyone that has had a colonoscopy knows that when you prep for that your poor gut is squeaky clean and i've never seen any space debris or Tonka trucks in the toilet after that procedure - and I had one done when I was eating as bad as I could eat.

It seems to me that Gwyn relies on the dangerous practice of "detoxing" which can effect your electrolytes and thus your heart if you go too far on it (hense the hallucinations - sp?) to stay thin. BLAH!

I love this site!
It's fun to read her thoughts on things. I particularly like her clothing newletters. I think it's fun.
The stuff to spend $$ on seems all over the place, from totally afordable...to her saying the Ritz Carlton in Paris is "totally worth the $$" (it's $760 euro/night = about $1K).

Just interesting to see the perspective of normalcy, some things very - and some not at all, from a celebrity.

So that's where the socks go...;):D:D:D

I checked out the site...seemed pretty weak on content.

:D !!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. It's good to be regular, but some people are a little too obsessed with cleaning out their colon.

Gwyneth Paltrow is a spoiled rich girl, maybe 3 notches down from Paris Hilton, so nothing she says/does surprises me. Have you ever seen Kathy Griffin's impression of her? Hysterical.

Yeah Reese! I am with you, sister. You've probably seen pictures of how people start expelling all kinds of strange coloured and textured stuff when they go on a detox program ... from what I have read, the pills and capsules that people take on those programs actually turn into that strange coloured and textured stuff when mixed with water in the gut. No, folks, that stuff was never in you before!

(Note to self - never ingest a capsule that looks like a dehydrated lost sock)
