WW's AUGUST: SUNNY SIDE UP

Monday is August 1st so it's a great time to regroup and refocus. I certainly need to!!! My major goal this month is to take things day by day and learn how to eat healthy, workout and co-exist with my insane work schedule!! For those who are going strong, thanks for the motivation and positive vibes and keep up the good work!!
 
Stacy, great goal, that is exactly what its all about, keeping food and work out in balance despite Life getting in the way with the good, the bad and the ugly.

I didn't find balance this weekend myself, tho! Gathering at my house yesterday was fun. The Greek meatballs from skinnygina were pretty good and the tabbouleh laden w/ veggies was a hit. But at the end of the eve I over ate (felt stuffed), including peanut butter pie w/ choco ganache and peach Bellinis. I don't know if I can squeeze in enough clean living between now and weigh in day to show a loss this week.

But, on the bright side- food could have been much much worse yesterday and I did 2 dance classes plus my first BodyRock w/o! And I had a lovely time w/ my BFFs plus my ddx2 were a great help in cleaning up and food prep.

Wendy, {{hugs}}. I checked out the two w/o, I think they are both great and will try them with my friends. Thank you!! I did BODYROCK.tv | Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv w/ modifications yesterday. Whew! I downloaded interval timer app to my phone. There is also a WW points app I use. PS, do you think there is any chance of water weigh gain as a result of being IN the water? Is that just crazy?

Good Morning Ladies.:cool:

Y'day's work out was PS Shoulders, BBC Back and Shoulders Cardio and standing abs (obliques). :)

Today was PS Triceps, the July 27th Death to Fat work out from BR (same one Jody posted about doing) and 5 mins of jump rope cause it's all the time I had to spare...:)

I have fierce DOMS in my sides from BBC abs. It's obvious I haven't done that segment in a while and I was holding 2# weights while doing it. A little weight goes a long way sometimes! :eek:

Jody:: Good job doing the BR work out! Did the same one this morning as you can see! Loved it! :) I honestly don't know if water weight gain is possible from swimming/being in the water?? I know that isn't MY problem though as I didn't spend that much time in the pool on saturday. I just drank like a fish and ate like a pig! :p

Stacy:: Love the positive attitude!!! Good for you girl! You will be unstoppable if you continue to think like that! :D
 
Good morning everyone. I am down .8lb this morning. I still get weigh in at Weight Watcher meeting tonight. I figure I would weigh myself this morning to see if I loss on my scale before I start using Weight Watcher scale.

Today's workout was CLX burn circuit. I really like it.

I forgot to mention that today I started the 12 weeks challenge. I took measurements and my body fat. I also took a before picture not pretty lol.

Hi guys!! Sorry I haven't posted lately but my DH was in the hospital Friday & Saturday & I stayed with him, we came home Sunday & he's doing fine.

Stacy I'm with you!! Gonna try to have the same attidude!!

My workout Sunday was HIS & 1/2 of Fire 55 EZ & my workout today was Peak 10 Cardio Strength, TF HIIT 30 & 1/2 of Step to Success by Rebecca Small. I plan to workout a little longer when I have time. I will let you know how my weigh in goes. I haven't had any parties or weddings to go to so my eats were okay.
 
Great Barb! Sounds like you are off too good start. I think pictures can show more of your progress than numbers. I know my first month made a difference even tho there wasn't that much loss.

Stacy, how's refocus starting out?

I maintained wt this week. Yesterday turned out to be rest. I did 4DS LIS but with so little energy and enthusiasm that I just couldn't count it as a workout.

Food was leftover meatballs, tabbouleh, raw brownies (walnuts, agave, cocoa), left over spoon of ganache from pie, and protein shake x 2 all eaten standing up on the run.

The refocusing is not going well, too many long hours and pressures at work. I'm coming to a crossroads in my life and that has been very stressful as well. I'm trying to stay positive but I've honestly felt lately that I'm just teetering on the brink of a full-out nervous breakdown. Ok, that is a bit of an exaggeration, but life isn't good. I've considered taking a break from this Check-in b/c I dont want to bring anybody else down and I havent been the best motivator for anyone including myself. However, this checkin does provide some outlet and pulls me back into what is important to me and that is my health. So if you ladies can slap me when I'm bringing you down, I'd appreciate it b/c that's the last thing I want is to be a negative influence on all you who are working so hard, and achieving your goals!

BR from 7/29: 300 Reps of Brutality :eek:
Tonique Premier: Squat segment
Tonique Back: Back lying segment not including ab work

Stacy:: Sure we will do that for you! Better then having you leave us! Glad you will stick around BUT if you really feel like you need a break then please take it. We'll be here when you return. :)

Jody:: Never had them but the raw brownies sound yummy! Good job maintaining! We can't lose every week...even though we'd like to!!!

Wiggy:: Glad DH is ok and hope it was nothing serious! Way to get back in the game!!! Good for you!

Barb:: Good job on the weight loss and best of luck with the challenge! Seems you have a head start! :D

Finally got a workout in today!! I did the cardio premix from Body Max 2 (all but the last 2 blast sections, but still managed 30 minutes of cardio), followed that with abs from the same workout and then PUB both up&down the pyramid. I was craving a good arm workout!

Off to the grocery store...

wow, great w/o Stacy. I think you should keep checking in if it helps you take care of yourself; to me, that is the whole point. And if you are taking care of your health and fitness, hopefully the rest will work out better.

Wendy, I will get the proportions for raw brownies for us from my raw foodie friend. Her DH is chef at alternative health clinic. She is always bringing something interesting and healthy.

Weigh-in Wednesday...holding steady at 129, that's the best I can hope for right now! Well, not the best, but I'll be happy with that today. (My all-time lowest since starting WW was 126, Goal is 120 lb, 115 is the super goal, but I think they may be too hard to maintain)

Good Morning.

Rest day for me today. Thank goodness cause I didn't get enough sleep last night...for the THIRD night in a row. Boo. :(

Much to my surprise when I got on the scale this morning it was gleaming in big bold numbers my GOAL WEIGHT ON THE NOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shocked :eek::eek::eek: but happy!!!:D Now IDK if it will stick and I am not going to change anything until I weigh myself on Friday. If I am still there then I'll consider my goal achieved and switch to maintenance even tho it scares the bejeebers outta me! :eek:

Stacy:: That's the right attitude. Keep it up. Do your best. It's all you can do. It'll work out eventually.

Congrats, Wendy! I was just about to post the concern that WW PP may only get us to healthy weight, not lean n mean. I am considering reducing my daily PP to 25. I dunno....well, should prob follow my own advice and make sure I am front loading on veggies first!

Yesterday I did
Banana, protein shake w/ flax
bagel thin w/ PB, another banana
Tabbouleh, veggies, meatballs
Super veggie salad w/ 2 T reduced fat gargonzola and 6 olives, vinegar and oil dressing
yogurt
2 fudge-sickle

I am doing 4DS series this week plus whatever add-ons come up. Yest. = LIS, shoulders, calves, core and later 4 mile jog/walk/sprints and bike rack push ups and curb dips.

Barb. coolio to Pyramid Hiit, I've only done 30/30

Jody:: I wouldn't worry about it as long as you are eating healthy and keeping up with your weight lifting. I have dropped 10 pounds and my bf has dropped right along with it. I have lost inches, have flat abs, muscle definition and couldn't be happier!
 
I made an Ugi ball this morning. Best/worst idea I ever had. Old king size flattish pillow in case, stuff with a weight (I added 7.5 to the 2.5 pound pillow), fold in half, seal and bind with bungee cords. Proceed to do bodyrock workout booty meets abs july 25 and quickly realized I needed no weight in my ugi pillow to end up a mushy mess. I added this workout to HIS when it got to 3rd section and I got lost in choreography.
 
Jody:: Oooh yeah that BR w/o was a goodie for sure! And yup, HIS choreo is a tough nut to crack. It's still a work in progress for me. ;) I want a ugi ball. Tried to find something similar for less money but no such luck. If it was $50 I would buy it but for $128 I just can't justify it! :(
 
Good afternoon everyone, today workout was CLX burn circuit 2 and burned 311 calories. I am so weak but I did feel the burn which is a good thing and I have DOMS from Monday's workout. Maybe I will get some nice DOMS from today.

Wendy enjoy your rest day. I am so happy for you on your weight loss. WTG. I hope its stay like that till weigh in day. I know I would be scare of maintaining your weight.

Stacy good that the scale was nice to you. It's better then gaining.
