Cathlete
Good Morning everyone!

Traci will not be around much today. She emailed me and she is having to take one of her babies (dogs) to the vet today. She had to cart him to the Emergency vet over the weekend because he started acting very lethargic and not getting up to "do the business" outside. Keep her and her family in your thoughts, please!

Last night, DH wanted Mexican, so I gave in. This is usually a problem with all the cheese dip and stuff, but I actually did okay. Yeah, there were tortilla chips and dip, but my entree was a grilled chicken breast with steamed shrimp, veggies (no butter either) and rice. It came with a salad that was pretty tasty as well. I may just have to try that again sometime!

Today I have a dentist's appt on tap. Then I need to start cleaning the house for Mom and Dad coming. I figure if I start now, then by 10 days from now, when they get here, I won't have to run around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get everything done!

Yayy Amy on maintaining with the Mexican food! Mexican is my downfall...ugh on the dentist appointment.

Today I wanted to do Low Max, but I'm sore everywhere from yesterday's workout. Yeah, I guess my upper body is singing a symphony! (ha, ha) Will have to settle for a 45 min TM run instead while I watch Low Max on the t.v. Looks fun.

I will miss Traci today!!! I sure hope the vet visit goes okay.

Take care, ladies! Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Cheryl

Cheryl- I still haven't pulled LowMax out of it's 'corner'! I did it once a week without fail from last January to September....talk about burnout! I have been playing with pulling it out lately, but so far, it's not happened yet! Enjoy your run. I just got contacted by someone here in town from the SparkPeople website and they want to go walk on the local college's track (the community college has opened it up to walkers). I would love to meet up with them sometime and run on it (walking doesn't 'do' it for me anymore;-) ). It's warming up here to the 50's and 60's so I will be getting out and running again.

When do you leave on your PR trip again?

Happy Tuesday,

Amy – Mexican food, woman you get four stars nice choices ;) ;)

Yesterday, I woke up with a bad sinus infection, draining all day. When I got home, straight to bed I went I felled asleep around 7:30 or so. I must have been really wiped out. This morning, I swear I did not hear the alarm clock go off, and I know I set it. I even moved the time up a bit 30 minutes b/c I wanted to do two workouts, legs and 1 hr of cardio. Didn’t happen!

Now, I have to figure out which workout I can do tonight, I only have 1.5 hours to dance, I’ve bible study tonight. I probably do cardio & weights which, not sure yet, me just having my coffee :p I’ll check back.

Forgot to mention, I’m starting to notice more definition and less cellulite in my thighs. Before I picked up this weight I had rid about 90% of cellulite in my thighs, it can happen if you work hard squat, lunge, pile etc...with heavy weight, right. :D :9

I wearing a pair of pants size 6, I wore a few weeks ago and they were tight, now, they are comfortable.

Lots of hugs and prayers going out to the WW checkin group today -

Traci - I hope your baby is ok. I'm always a nervous wreck when my babies are feeling off. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and prayers going your way!

Lori - Lots of {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and prayers going your way too! Hope your dad's surgery is very successful!!

Amy - great job on the mexican food! That dish you had sounds yummy! Yup, you deserve a foot massage at the end of each shift!!

Teddygril - hope those sinuses are all better today. Isn't it great when your clothes fit like you want them to!

Cheryl - I'm still hurting from yesterday. Seemed like the DOMS got worse as the day went on. My family had a great laugh watching me climb the stairs last night!! I did S&H Chest and Back this morning. Tomorrow should be fun!

OK, ladies - working from home today, but that doesn't mean I can sit here all day, so gotta get back to the grindstone! Try to BBL!

Hi, everyone!

Back at the office a bit before we leave for the flight. The press tour starts today and runs through Friday. Today is Salt Lake City meetings and the flights out. Wed is D.C., Thursday Boston, Friday New York and then HOME.

Send me all your self discipline vibes! This client knows I'm a health freak, so that's some accountability. Also I packed ahead of time for once and have healthy food lined up for emergencies in my suitcase and purse. Grapefruit cups, spinach in ziplock bags, a few nuts, and a little bit of dark chocolate :)

Lori, prayers for your dad. Yes, please let us know the minute you get word on the outcome!

Amy, hang in there on the work shift! It will have to end soon...

Teddygirl, KUDOS on the pants fit - and bummer on the sinus infection. Those are the worst! Maybe focus on weights this next day or so and keep whatever cardio you can manage low impact... the pounding will just give you a splitting headache I'm afraid... HUGS!!

Claude, good luck with your work from home. Hope it means you can fit in a nice workout.

More tomorrow! I will probably not be able to check in again today - will get to DC at 12:30 a.m. UUGH!

Cheryl

Cheryl, I hope that you have a great trip and enjoy the sites along the way. This time of year is pretty cool to travel, especially to DC!!! I was in a military choir in 2001 and we flew to D.C. and sang at the White House during the Holiday season. While the president didn't come and talk to us, Mrs. Bush sent her personal secretary to greet us because we were singing right down the hall from her office and she could hear us. We also saw George running on the East Lawn with the dogs. It was a lot of fun. We also performed at the Daughters of the Revolution Hall in a concert that was televised to all the military bases across the world!

Well, after all the hype;-) , I finally did Teddy's Eggs (I mean Scrambled Eggs). It was fun! I's pretty much what I like to do from BM2 on a regular basis, except she mixes them all up and tosses the legs weight routine in. It's a keeper!

TG- Congrats on the pant's fit! I am glad that your rotation is working out for you!

Evening,

Well, I finally decided tonight’s workout is going to be Butts & Guts premix :p :9 I cant remember the name of the one I'll be doing but it's 65/70 minutes of pure fun!!

Cheryl – have a GREAT time ;) ;-)

Amy – glad you liked Teddy’s Egg’s :D its on tomorrow rotation. Hm.......well, since, I’m doing B&G tonight I may have to move SE back a day, I’ll see depending on how legs & butt feeling tomorrow, well back to work. I only took a 30 min lunch today, that way, I have more time to dance tonight :+ :9 :7

Where is my Tracie, I'm missing you :-(

My dad's surgery went ok. It took 8 hours. There was alot of scar tissue, and the wires from his prior bypass surgery were broken, and they really had a hard time. He is very bloated from all the fluids. The nurse told us he would be like this, but I almost fainted, I had to leave the room. He will be sedated the whole night because of the tube down his throat, and they want him to be very still. The tube will be taken out at 9:30 or so tonight. The nurse said when we all walked in, his blood pressure rose because he knew we were there, but he can not open his eyes, and come awake. It was one of the worse things I have ever been thru. I am going to the hospital tomorrow afternoon after they get him to his room, and he is comfortable. I hope it goes better than today. My stomach is still a mess. I am going to stop and weigh in tomorrow before I go. My husband is going to take me again. I am supposed to be strong for my mom, and I almost end up in a pile. I just did not expect him to look like, or be like that. That is hard when you love someone, but I am glad he will be ok. The nurse said he was doing really well, and the dr. told us his heart started back up all on it's own.
Lori

Hello everyone...

Lori - I'm so glad your dad's surgery went well. I hope his recovery is fast. Keep us posted.

I hope Traci's pet is okay. I still have a hard time thinking of Jasper when I read something about a pet sick or worse. I know that hurt all too well.

I'll try to do some personals tomorrow. I don't have to run anywhere after work tomorrow. With my gyno appt yesterday, WW tonight, and an incredibly busy weekend, I'm feeling a little like the hamster on the wheel!

I did get in CC #2 today. I'm behind on GS CT, I'll have to look at the rotation and see what I'm going to do.

Oh BTW... I lost 2 points on the new plan. I was at 24 for maintenance, now I'm at 22. I ate too many cowboy cookies tonight after I got home to celebrate!!! Oh well, tomorrow it starts all over, I get to pull out a new tracker and maybe I can get through the week without going off the page on the flexies!

Goodnight

Hi, everyone -

I'm on a layover in Dallas and had to check in to see if there was news on Lori's dad. Wow, Lori, I can't imagine what you must be feeling. I'm amazed you're still functioning right now. It puts everything else in perspective, eh?

Jane, I'm laughing about the cowboy cookie celebration. Yikes! Like you say, tomorrow's a new day! :)

T-girl, B&G always makes my booty hurt. You may have to move SE back just a tad...

Well, first day of press tour down and I have behaved!!
First meeting tomorrow morning has been postponed so I will have ample time for a nice workout at the hotel.

I'll check in tomorrow. Have a great night, everyone!
Cheryl

Lori- I am glad that your dad is doing well. He's in MY world now! I do Open Heart ICU all the time and it's truly a "patient" oriented recovery. All his care right now is specific to him and what he and his vital signs are doing. Just remember, the hard part is over (and don't give him too much to drink!). I hope that he does well enough to get to another room out of the ICU tomorrow!

Cheryl- I hope the rest of your trip goes well!

Jane- I keep telling you to share the cowboy cookies!! Congrats on the weight loss!

Amy, thank you for your words. i KNEW YOU WORKED IN A HOSPITAL, AND WITH HEART PATIENTS, i WAS SO HOPING YOU WOULD RESPOND. tHANK yOU!!

iF HE IS ON THE 4TH FLOOR WHEN i GET THERE TOMORROW, THE 4TH FLOOR IS WHERE HE IS WATCHED MORE, AND IF HE IS ON THE 7TH FLOOR, THAT IS WHERE THEY ARE WITH HIM LESS. He is in the Meijer Heart Center, a brand new facility they just added to Grand Rapids a few years ago.

I will check in tomorrow night.
