Shelly (trooper15) and Carole(McMain) participated in the LV marathon and half marathon respectively today! Both of them finished w/AWESOME times and should be extremely proud of themselves!

Did you guys do the santa run? That is a huge deal here! I just saw coverage on the news this weekend. Anyway, congrads to both of you.

Wendy...you are too sweet for starting this!!! I had an incredible time in LV. Running the first 6 miles with Shelly was so darn fun!!! She did so well shaving off 23 mins from her previous marathon!!! I was only hoping to finish in at least a 10 min pace, I had a 9:44 on my watch and the results showed a 9:50, any way it was still under a 10 min pace!!!! My LV time was 2:08:49.

Cathy...thanks....you cheetahs are a great inspiration!

tneah...Thanks!...no, the Santa run was Saturday (a 5K) and the marathon/half marathon was sunday, I did however see a couple getting married on the run and numerous Elvis's...

Wendy! How sweet of you to post this! I only just now saw it as I haven't had much time to post anywhere but the cheetah thread lately.

Las Vegas was such FUN!!! What an incredible experience and I recommend it to anyone. Well, worth the time and money IMHO. We started at 0600, running with 15000+ runners with fireworks going off while we ran down the strip. Absolutely AWESOME! The mid course entertainment was great. I loved being able to run with Carole and her sister for the first 6 miles before they turned off to complete the half marathon.

I ended up completing my marathon in 4:30. A respectable although not impressive time. But I was quite happy with it.
