Hi Alison! I was wondering about your ganglion surgery and how you are feeling!? That is wierd about your other wrist feeling like you have a ganglion there. Listen to this... about 4 or 5 months after my ganglion surgery, my left wrist started hurting a lot, so I went to the doctor. He said that I had tendionitis and a small ganglion in that wrist! It's like I got rid of the one and now it grew on the other wrist. FRUSTRATING! That was in late 1993--now that small ganglion is still there, but it is not nearly as bad as the right one was. Anyway, congratulations on being pregnant again. That is very exciting!
Cybersis, I agree with Alison that the cross-body kickbacks in the PS series are a great one to substitute for the dips! Also, I thought of this after writing my last message to you...You could try wall pushups or fingertip pushups if you really want to do pushups. The wall pushups are not very challenging, but you will be putting much less stress on your wrist than regular pushups since you will be bearing less weight. The fingertip pushups are something I used to do in Tae Kwon Do class. It stresses the wrist less because your wrist remains straight, as opposed to the bent position with regular pushups. In one of her videos, Cathe recommends doing dips or pushups using a hex-head dumbell or pushup handlebars. You could try that, but that doesn't work for me either. Still too much pain. Just some suggestions!
