I just received an order I placed for casual shirts on www.bluefly.com. First of all, I have to let you know what a nice shopping experience that was. I'd never even heard of them, but they give a contribution to my Upromise account, so I gave them a try. The clothes are nice and reasonably priced, but the coolest part was the way they packaged my order! I got 2 short-sleeved t-shirts and 2 long-sleeved. They wrapped them all in a nice dark-blue tissue paper, the way Victoria's Secrets wraps your underwear, then put them all in this very nice gift bag. The girt bag was so nice, I'd consider using it for giving a gift to someone, if it didn't say Blue Fly on it.
Anyway...the one long-sleeved shirt I got is a bold orange. I NEVER wear orange, but it was a cute shirt on sale and I figurerd that just because I never wear orange, doesn't mean I CAN'T wear it. I tried it on and it fits well, except it's a v-neck and comes too low and wide for my comfort zone.
I think a nice t-shirt camisole works perfectly underneath - but the one that I have is a pale pink. I tried it with the orange shirt and I think it looks nice. But...I've never felt strongly about my ability to match colors. I saw on Trading Spaces the other day the designer tease a boy who said purple and red don't match. She said that since you use red to make purple, they match. I figure that since you use red to make orange and also to make pink, they match.
What do you think? Will people think I'm a dork for wearing light pink under bold orange?
