Would like opinions...

I am new to the forums here but wanted to enlist some advice since I can't make up my mind and could use some help of some seasoned Cathletes ;)
I want to take full advantage of the sale that ends this week so I want to get the 30% discount and buy 10 DVD's. Can any of you share if there is anything that I should have that I am missing, or that you think any Cathe Fan should have in their repetiore?
I consider myself to be be an intermediate exerciser, but am working toward advanced. I like a challenge and high intensity workouts, but also like something for those days when need to workout but need it to be lighter. I don't need low impact, but I think it's good to throw in my mix because sometimes my joints are tired and achy. It's more of a preventative joint thing too. I like to strength train and do cardio equally. I don't care too much for kickboxing, (but maybe I should give it more of a try.) I like step a lot, but don't want it to be do dancy or complicated. I don't care too much for floor aerobics, unless it's plyo.

Here is what I currently own:
STS (36 disc, not 40) which I haven't done yet
CoreMax
GymStyles x 3
Cardio Hits
Muscle MAx
Low Max
Imax 3
4DS
PUB/PLB
Strectch Max
Low Impact Step (don't do anymore as an interm. stepper; too slow)
Basic Step/Body Fusion (don't do anymore as an interm. stepper; too slow)

Here's what's in my cart:
Butts & Guts
HiiT
Drill Max
Slow & Heavy
Power Hour
Boot Camp & ME
Body Max 2
Low Impact Circuit
Intensity
Imax 2

I am not sure about Imax2. Maybe SJP/Step Blast? I think I would like the less dancy Imax2 but I don't see myself using the cardio and weight portion because it's seems to "light". I also had SS/PP in my cart but I don't see it mentioned too much and saw that it was a little low on the intensity side. I don't like it when I "outgrow" a dvd and it sits there. That's why I always get tougher dvd's to work up to and to keep me challenged and pushing myself.

I appreciate any advice/opinions and most of all appreciate your time!
I LOVE Cathe, if it weren't for her....well I shudder to think:eek:
I have searched ALOT on these forums to help me with my dvd purchases and it has helped. I don't have any friends who do Cathe so I feel like you are the only ones I can relate to on my Cathe addiction! It's good to feel understood on my Cathe craziness!
Thanks again,
Kristy.

I just bought the SS/PP during the sale, but haven't done it yet (finishing 2nd round of STS), so I can't sway you one way or the other on that. What about CTX, if you can swing it? It has some kickbox, but a ton of other cardio options as well.

Your cart looks awesome! Are you looking for others to add, or trying decide if you should get all the ones you have listed?

i think what you have looks good, but do consider Lower Body Blast. I think it's a great one! also Cardio Core Circuit is a great challenge & no equipment required. Circuit Blast is pretty fun, too.

kikster - Thank you! I will take a look at CTX. I am not looking to add any more dvd's, just wanted to see if what I had in my cart was god, or if there is a better choice.

lainabaina - thank you! I guess I haven't looked too much at the new dvd's as much because it's not as good of a deal; they aren't on sale of have an extra coupon with them. I am a bargain shopper :)
But based on your reccomendation, I am going to take a look at them! Thank you!

Actually am wrong about that! Cardio Cre Circuit and Circuit Blast do have a $5 coupon.
Thanks! Do you think they are better than some I already have in my cart?

I second that about CCC, another great one with lots of options, idk which one to sub it in for, though. Maybe for one of your higher impact workouts, so that you have a good variety of both, since most of the circuits will give you good sweat but maybe not impact your joints as much as, say, Imax2 (if it's not your fave) or Drill max.

Kristy - I feel like you do abt IMAX 2 and decided not to get it because not crazy abt Cardio & Weights. I have Terminator so I have some of C&W on it & I know I wouldn't like it. i would def get CCC, it is pretty tough & it's nice to have some workouts where you don't need to get out a bunch of equipment. have fun shopping! i am shopped out hee hee!! Hi Kristy! I think your cart looks fantastic! I second (or third maybe?) the suggestion to add Cardio Core Circuit. It is TOUGH stuff but I love it nonetheless. Plus I think it is an easy workout to modify while you build up your cardio capacity - if needed of course (I have to modify a few of the moves).

Imax 2 is one of my all time favorite workouts. It was also one of my very first Cathe workouts, so perhaps I am slightly biased. :) I also love cardio and weights. The step portion is fantastic. Yes, it is a little easier than some of Cathe's other workouts but I like to use it when i'm feeling tired or just need something a little easier but I still want to get a great workout. C&W has a high "fun factor" for me. Though it is easier I personally don't think of it as an "easy" workout. With that said, if you don't care for C&W you could always get Imax 2 as a download at a later time - that way you don't have to pay for C&W too.

HTH. Happy shopping!

Great idea to get it as a Dld! I think I may get CCC instead of Imax2. Except I like what you said about it being easier. There are definitley days I need to do something, but and still recovering form a hard workout the day before. I guess I could always use Low Impact Step for that day though. BUt it would be nice to have more than one option. Wow I don't think I am getting any closer to deciding. Tough one!
Thank you for your input it helps!

Yeah, the no equipment thing is nice! Good point! I don't have Terminator but I don't need too many w/os with both cardio and weights anyway as I tend to do them on separate days anyway. But they are nice to have to wrap up your week with both!
Thank you so much for your help!

Here's My 2 Cents

Hi Kristy

I have all of Cathe's workouts. I really don't know what I would have done without her workouts over the years. She has been a source of great inspiration to me and many others. I've gotta say one of my favorite workouts in Cardio & Weights which comes on the DVD with IMAX 2. Cardio & Weights is not an easy workout. It's pretty intense. Sure, Cathe has workouts that are harder, but it's no walk in the park. And, as far as the ultra high intensity interval workouts go, IMAX 2 is just great - great fun to do also, and the music is terrific. For a shorter intense all cardio workout I also like Athletic Step and Step Moves which are a couple of her newer workouts. Hope this helped you Kristy. Take care

Sharon

I have all of Cathe's workouts too. At this stage, I find that I go for the combined cardio & weights workouts more frequently due to my time constraints. I do Drill Max, Terminator (Gauntlet mostly, Viper on occasion), Body Max 2, High Step Training & High Step Challenge (though I sub Cathe's cardio w/the TM or elliptical). It's likely I use several others, but can't think of which ones off the top of my head at the moment. I also love kettlebells, so I enjoy doing KB workouts a few times a week. Happy shopping!
