Have any of you ladies seen this? It was on the news last night. I couldn't find a link to the news story, but this is the same story from a different news source. Why?Why?Why? would you do this? I don't get it. The sad thing is, the dingalings on her website PAY to watch her eat and that supports a $750/wk grocery bill. Holy smokes - that's a lot of Twinkies! Oh, and she says she's healthy, but can only move 20 feet at a time. I don't understand people sometimes......

ugh i don't know what to say $750 could pay my mortgage monthly! and how can you be "healthy" when you can barely move. i don't like basing health on person's weight but the ability to move without injury or having to take a break. i hate to break it to her but in my eyes and the eyes of my fitness buddies at the ymca, she is not healthy.

but i don't pay her bills or support her lifestyle so i can't say much otherwise.

Clearly this woman has other issues besides her weight..the need for attention, etc. Too bad she won't live to see her daughter grow up-or maybe she will since she's "healthy." Sad, Sad, Sad.
 
It's really hard for me to even begin to wrap my brain around why someone would want to do that. It's nothing more than a slow suicide and with a young child that's just so incredibly sad. And this part "in which men pay to watch her eat junk food," just really makes me feel....heck I don't even know how to describe it. :confused:
 
I saw this in an article yesterday.

Another publicity hound, yet this one seems willing to slowly kill herself for the fame. Sick.
 
I just saw her on the news this morning with this story. I cannot even fathom why someone would want this for themselves. She will be bedridden and the only interaction her daughter will be able to have with her is at her bedside. Gee, what a great mom and role model she is.

IMO, there is a level of child abuse here.

That's what I was thinking. She's going to kill herself before her kid grows up. I lost my mom at 19 (not obesity related) at that was way to early. I can't imagine that for a younger kid. When DS was young, that's what kicked my butt into gear. I realized I had to get off my arse if I wanted to watch him grow up, and that he needed a mom. That is my biggest issue with the whole thing.

What about the child. There will be no modeling of good healthy eating, so the child will likely have obesity issues as well. This woman is very selfish IMO.

How sad that this woman's primary goal in life is to abuse her body into an early grave, set a bad example for her daughter, and exploit herself to pay for it.

Yea, and why is the news media giving her the spotlight? For goodness sakes, talk about stupid! Now she'll get more money to sit on her arse all day and eat. :mad:
 
The obesity in itself is disgusting, but what makes it worse is the website she's on is basically porn. It is her in provocative poses with very little clothing, for sick and twisted men to gape at. That site also shows video of her moving around dressed in very little so the men can see all that fat jiggle around.

Sick, sick, sick!

ITA. She will probably get her own reality show and then figures with that, she'll be approved for free surgery to get rid of the weight so it's a quick way to make some extra cash.

This makes me so mad, especially since just last week NY state was complaining about the obesity epidemic and wants to tax pizza, soda, and give fines to restaurants who use salt in their preparations to make up for the medical costs and "prevent" obesity all together (mind you, if this salt thing passes, there will still be table salt available. Last I checked, a lot of high BP came from adding salt to your own food, not from the 1tsp or dash called for in restaurants...and I mean actual restaurants, not chains).

Eeeewwww! I knew there had to be more to it than men just watching her chow down!

It just gets worse and worse, doesn't it?
 
And can you imagine the men that are PAYING to watch her eat? WTH!! And I guess fans of her site send her protein shakes and fatty stuff to keep her weight up. Yuck!
 
& her child and family will be the world's saddest when she passes away when her body shuts down. How disturbing!

Same reason octomom got so much press: because it brings in viewers.

If the average viewer were turned off by this, it wouldn't be shown.

I feel sorry for the daughter. Who knows what horrid habits she's picking up that will damage her for life.

They already are if it took 30 people to assist with her high risk C-Section. :( I just can't imagine what all this will do to her daughter. Girls today have enough problems dealing with our cultures views on woman.
