Hi everyone,

I did P90X Plyo, skipping the rock star hops, gap jumps and hot foot because of my knees, but adding ankle weights to the military march and (one legged) wall squats.

I think there is something seriously wrong with my left knee (I tumbled over Rover last week during a run). I'll wait and see till Monday. I upped my Glucosamine dose, I ice about 2/3 times a day. Hope this goes away soon.... only 5 more weeks till race day.

Carole, I usually take a proteine smoothie every day but I ran out of protein about ten days ago and had to wait till today to get my new delivery. I have been feeling weak and nauseous IF I worked out. Because I don't eat meat, do you think it's the lack of protein?

Annette, have fun with CTX. Where can I find a hubby like yours?

Good morning Dutchie...sorry to hear about your knee...:(...but what you are doing to it is exactly what I would do. Give it some time and don't do any High Impact aerobics for a few days and see if it feels better. As far as being weak and nauseous if you work out it could very well be the lack of protein although I was only weak on a cuple of runs when I first started this. Maybe increase your bean intake. Like kidney, garbanzo, pinto etc. I use them in salads everyday and they are the best source of fiber you can get. I probably consume about 2 cups a day and they do have protein in them also. When i frist started eating vegetarian I used to just open a can of beans in the morning and if I got hungry I'd eat some. It seemed to help alot.

I am doing P90X Back & Biceps and a 6 mile run....Yes and Annette what a great guy...I know I have to fight a bit with mine but I normally win...:)...but for my DH to just go and buy me something like that....no way....and great workouts they are....enjoy your workouts....:)...Carole
 
I made myself a new batch of hummus today. I sometimes just can't be bothered to make it, though it only takes five minutes. In todays version I added fresh chillies and garlic. I love to snack on it with a carrot or cucumber. Or have it as a spread on a sandwhich.

Hi Everyone,

I've tried the hummus and I just have a problem getting past the texture thing.:) I have been getting a lot of protein lately through soy milk (only like the chocolate)- it probably does not have as much as hummus but its really good:9 Anyway, I sure hope your knee starts feeling better and I agree with staying away from high impact for a while.

This morning I did Pyramid Upper Body and Pyramid Lower Body. Can anyone do all those pikes - I am only good for about the first 3 or 4 but I've only done it twice so far.

Annette, Thanks again - like I said in my reply to your post about your husbands surprise gift - my husband let me order the Body Blast Series on DVD when I told him what your husband did for you- YIPPEE :) :) :)

Dutchie, good men are hard to find, I found mine over 15 years ago and he is a keeper, we have been married for 14.5 years now.:) LOL come to America the land of plenty,LOL!!! Though you gotta be picky anywhere you look!

Wendy I am sooo glad that my dh inspired yours to let you order the Body Blast series. I have the KPC/L&G one in that series and love it.


OH my!! I did Pyramid Lower Body today and that stability ball work really gets you. I had to stop using the ball at the end and just do them modified.:+ :eek: I will feel it tomorrow I am sure of that, plus after that I did Kickbox and Leaner Legs' abs and for a 30 min. cardio I was thankful when it ended!!! It was very intense and my shoulders were on fire!!!:eek: :( :+ I was supposed to do shoulders too but I think I will add it onto another body part either tomorrow or Friday.

I had fun learning new workouts.
