Good morning....today I am doing P90X Shoulders & Arms...(my fav) AbRipperX and a 4 mile run.

Thanks for asking Mari, my achilles seems to be holding up well (I am almost afraid to say that!!) I also heard from my running buddy that they are changing the course for the marathon a bit...maybe they will take out some of the MANY hills...:)....have a great workout ladies....:)...Carole

Hey Ladies!! Had a good cardio workout today I did Charlene Prickett 'Crazy for Step'. For me, this is by far her best step workout yet (her music still kinda sucks though). We step for a full 63 minutes and then cool down, she's got at least 10 years on me and does the workout on 3 risers so that's what I did and holy cardio!! what a difference those few inches make. Between yesterday's LL and today's step my quads (rectus femoris especially) are feeling nicely worked thank you!! I finished with 15 minutes spinal twists, low back and hamstring releases, aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh:)

Carole, is it the Shoulders or abs that's you fave in P90X? It's all I can do not to order this series.....

Can't wait for KickMax pics!

Hi Laure you have done a great workout. I thought to order the P90X but I decided to wait for the Cathe hardcore series. I can not wait to see the kickmax pics too. I think that (later this week) means the pics will be post in the weekend.Have a great day.

Good morning all!

Today I am doing KPC/L&G premix, probably the 80 minute one...I'm so in the mood to kick today:7 LOL!!!

Stayfit, did you have fun with IMAX2 yesterday??

Sandra, I did the SJP premix followed by ME upper body and ME abs...wow that realy was a great workout and boy were my arms SORE last nightx( ....I also added some additional leg presses}( !

Carole, how are those freddy shoes?? I'm still waiting for my backordered white/gray pair to get here...can't wait:)!

Laurie, that sounds like one heck of a workout....good for you:)!!

I'm really hoping we'll be able to see those Kickmax pics by Friday..

Good morning, everyone,

I feel good! (da da da da da) Like I knew that I would (da da da da da)....

I completed Circuit Max followed by Leaner Legs, and now I'm a happy, happy (hungry!) girl. LL no longer has a dread factor for me; it moves along very quickly, and doesn't suck out my life force any longer. Perhaps this means I should add a few pounds to the barbell, but it's so nice to end this workout with enough strength left to stand. I may try adding 5 pounds to the squat work next time, but leave the lunges and plie squats as they are.

Laurie, CK Sales does not carry P90X; I've checked. I can't believe Charlene is using 3 risers under her step!! I recall that you are fairly tall; do you think 3 risers is a good idea for anyone under 5'5"? Are the moves hi impact, or lo? I have one of her ooooold step tapes, which I haven't done in a zillion years. I used to do her It Figures workouts about 15 years ago. I really liked her at the time.

Sandy, how did y-day's workout go?

Suzanne, you get to workout at work?? Are you joined by other people? How fortunate for you! (do you get to shower afterwards, or how do you deal with that?)

Mariángeles, do you have any shoulders left? That's a tough workout!

Hi all, I did PS Shoulders then floorwork legs and abs off of PSSL&A I did not do the CTX shoulders ran out of time and too many interruptions.:-(

Take a peek at my post (think I posted just before you)!! I really loved it, it was sooooooooooo much fun doing the circuit...I LOVE those figure 8s and kicking to "kung foo fighting" and squat on, squat off....you get the idea:D! Is it my imagination or do you really just feel like dying while doing ALL those low ends?

Ok, now you really make me want to order CTX right now so I can try LL!! I wanted to wait for Christmas so my mom could get it for me but now I don't know if I want to wait}( :+ !!

So far this rotation is a lot of fun....hmmm I may need to enlist your help again in the near future}( :) !!
 
Hey Sandra! Very nice workout :) }( ! (Insert High Five!) CM is amazing, it's my favourite Cathe hi/lo and it's terrific that LL is losing the dread factor,...the reward for the hard work you put into it! I've had this workout for years and only done it half a dozen times, twice the past month and feel the dread easing as well. I will definitely be doing this workout more often. Maybe I'll put another baby plate on next time....maybe.:)

I'm 5'8" fairly long in the legs and would definitely not recommend you step on 3 risers if you're 5'5". With your foot on the step the angle at the back of the knee shouldn't be less than 90 degrees. I used to step on 3 all of the time but today was the first time in a year or more, man I was really breathing and concentrating on stepping with good form and not stumbling, it was fun, just one little stumble. Not as much impact compared to Cathe but great intensity. I love Charlene and am grateful for her, she got me off of the couch 12 years ago and boy have I (haven't we ALL!?) come along way! :)

Oh, I'm going on, I'll stop now, just one question that I've been meaning to ask you Sandra. Do you play the Fiddle?:)

5:15? a.m. I did all the cardio from Gauntlet and 30 mins on the treadmill (fast walking).

I don't have a lot of Cathe's dvd, so that is the reason I cannot follow a rotation, guess I just wanted join in.

However, I do plan on buying all dvds even the hard core series.

Hi Sandra:

The deal I made with the boss is that I get to workout at work, but I am at work for 12-13 hours per day including weekends for about 6 months out of the year. We/I get a whole lot more work done this way, bacuse I have a lot of down time between experiments. No one joins me but I have asked. I can shower in the childrens hospital but usually I workout 2-3 times in the day and dont shower. I have a washcloth and towel and lots of changes of clothes though. It makes work a lot more palatable.
 
IMAX 2 for me at 5:00 this morning. My recovery times were much better today. I hope that means I'm getting in better shape. Has anyone noticed that they get warmer easier since working out? It seems like ever since I started getting in shape my body gets warmer a lot easier than it used to.

Today was simple: Step Blast in its entirety. I was able to complete it much easier than before, which spells progress! I'm so excited!:D
 
Yes Sandy IMAX 2 is great. I love when cathe says: I know you are tired but jump higher.

Laurie, as Sandra says CK sales dosen't carry P90x. In this forums I have ridden negative messages about beachbody costumer service. I sent a message to them and the told me that I have to sent my numbers of my credit card by mail and it is not safe. I decided not to order because all these reasons.Anyway I have ordered the 11 dvd of hardcore.I have enough workouts to do.

Stayfit...yes, that is really one of my favorite Cathe sayings...because it's always at that exact moment that I just want to fall to the ground and diex( so she definitely helps to keep me on my feet just long enough to get to the much loved cool-down;)!

Looks like you completed a really challenging workout today....are your shoulders still attached to the rest of you:eek:??
 
HI everyone! You all sound so cheerful and up beat!:D I did my NordicTrack for 40 minutes(5.3 miles). I'll be raking the lawn for about 2 hours this afternoon and walking the pup this evening for 40 minutes or so. My hamstrings are pretty tight today so I need to get some good stretching in too. Keep smiling! Susan
 
Good afternoon everyone,
My goodness you all have been busy.

This morning was S&H Shoulders and PLB standing work only. Tonight the husband is going out with the guys so I am having a workout night. I think I will do the rest of PLB, ME abs and Rhythmic Step or Step Blast(I haven't decided yet). I can't wait to get started.

I also bought weight lifting gloves and tomorrow I am doing KPC so I'll probably wear them so my fingernails won't cut into my palms-and my fingernails arent that longx( Besides, wearing them may make me feel more like Cathe and the girls;-)

Princesscko-good for you-don't you just love Step Blast!

Katie- I do warm up a lot quicker now that I'm in better shape -I thought it was just me:). I wonder why that is?

Suzanne- what a great workout plan - what workouts do you do at work?

Sandra - There is NO way I could do a step workout on 3 risers. I sometimes do 8" and most often do 6" just because my knees start to bother me and I'm 5'10 and 29 years old. I think 3 risers would probably KILL me}( So I wouldn't recommend it.
