Hello Warriors and Good-bye another week.
Regina I love some of the W/Os that you mention and I've never heard of. Sometimes I go lookylook at some of the things that sound interesting. I just saw a little bit of Yoga Groove on YouTube. That's looks pretty cool. I'm feeling I should be doing more yoga. I really got going with that 2-3 years ago but as I was fitting in it most every day I wasn't managing any cardio round about then, so now I'm top heavy on the cardio and I must admit to neglecting quite a lot of my STS stretching - although when I've done it, it's great.
Form pointer anyone?? Cathy mentioned pigeon pose and I've been meaning to bring this up for ages. I never know where my bent leg in the forward position should be?? Should it be more central between the boobs, or slightly more towards the shoulder (ie same knee same shoulder - not across the body). Its much more comfortable for me to be central and that gets right into the adductor - but if it's slightly to the side it also gets the hip flexor of the straight leg. And I think people in the videos seem to be more to the side than is comfy for me. I never do well with this posture as I never stop fidgetting about trying to get into the right position.
Cathy Step Moves came round on my rotation this morning and having said last week that this is the W/O that is least challenging for me I ripped off your plan and as I don't have a vest
I wore wrist weights and although they are only light compared to my ankle weights I got a much better W/O out of it. I've been on the verge of raising the step time and again for that one, but I'm just so shy of a tumble and/or injury it's just not worth the risk.
Janis Your plan of a rotation using all new W/Os sounds like fun. Not sure if that would suit me, I like to have a bit of familiarity with complex stepping otherwise I'm gorping at Cathe throughout - although I realise that what you were talking about was predominantly lifting.
I said that I caved and bought a bunch of downloads to take advantage of the discounts a couple of weeks back. I've still not seen those yet. The reason I can't put them on an i-pod is because I don't have one. DD has a redundant i-phone which has a smashed screen as it is a casualty of calamitous DD - and I was planning to use that but I need the knowledge of DD to utilize this. Sounds straightforward eh?? You'd think. Maybe need to harvest expertise from a little further afield. Was determined not to get these transferred onto discs, but that's looking distinctly likely.
This week I'm very happy to be back in STSville. Me likey it here and will be planning lots of future visits. (I'll be along with you in September Janis). Also did the cardio from C&W one day as a warm up on my STS day and Imax 2 on a cardio day. I think my cardio capacity is suffering while I'm in the STS programme. I don't mind that as I can easily switch it up a gear in a few weeks, but I've always found Imax 2 extremely simple. A quick in and out, but it was surprisingly challenging this week.
I am very sad about the World (Japan) and apparently we went into Lybia last night - I can't even bear to turn the news on to find out details about that, but procrastinating is futile. Also I had a very sad e-mail from
Mary at the beginning of the week. She has no good news and it troubled me to read her sadness. Sorry to bring this all along on here, but that's why I've not posted earlier in the week. Felt very negative and couldn't bring myself 'UP'.
Love and light peoples
