Peaceful Rainbow
Cathlete
Well I was very proud of myself today. I woke up at 3:30 a.m. and never got back to sleep. None of the usual stuff worked and I have that happen at least once during my cycle. Finally just got up at 5:15 and did Shoulders and Core Max Complete Core. Didn't do my cardio at that time, but I did 30/30 with Nick. Got all the stuff around the house done I needed to do, school with the boys and by 2:30 when we finished I crawled into bed and slept for an hour. Didn't want to get up, but I did and I'm feeling much more functional now. Taking a break then making supper. Tuesday during this rotation is my longest workout day with weights, core and cardio, and I was determined that I wasn't going to skip. Especially since I missed cardio yesterday.
Janis, Derek will be in 4th grade next year and he wants to take art and computer classes. So, when Nick enrolls in August, we'll try and arrange something that fits with our schedule for him. The next year he can start band, too, and he's intrigued by that idea.
I didn't tell you guys about my Mom flipping out on her first chemo dr. apparently it didn't go well when they met before her treatment started and less than a week before her treatment was to start she got all upset and (he wasn't in the room, but apparently heard) started calling him all kinds of names and other impolite things. Without telling her he dropped her as a patient. They weren't getting any info on getting her set up, so Dad went and talked to social worker at the hospital. They were able to find her a new doctor, who she really likes, and things went smoother after that. BUT, the hospital made her sign a statement that she wouldn't swear at/threaten any of the staff etc. Now normally my Mother wouldn't say boo in that kind of situation or most any and she's all of about 4'8" tall now! So, it became a family joke for Dad to report her good behavior to us.
And how's your body doing today? Past it's achiness for your vineyard walk?
I have to say that there are definitely STS workouts that have a dread factor for me. The push-ups from hell workouts being some of those! But, I hate having to get my rotation out of whack and make them up, so it's one time that I rarely ever, unless I had no choice skipped a day. Same with my current one part per day. If I don't do the part for the day, it all gets messed up. Forces me to suck it up and do it!
Mary, I hope today is a better day for you. That's lousy about the bikes not being available. Back in days of long ago, ok late 80's, when I used to go to a gym, I did the 6:15 aerobics class and followed that up with weights. I tried going afterwork and it was just too crowded and crazy. Not to mention first thing in the morning the weight room equipment is much cleaner and better smelling!
Heat wave here today as it's around 30. Gotta go make summer. Big Hi to whoever got missed!
