Happy Valentines Day Warriors!
This is my mathematical equation to explain the last few days: Excessive Driving + Age + PMS = Fatigue Induced Time Warp.
This morning I did C2 5k week 4, day 1- I walked 10, ran 3, walked 1.5 ran 5, repeat the walk/run for a total of 32 minutes. Then STS disc 16 (M2 W2) S C & T. I opened the program with 15 pushups on my toes. My dear fitness friend has issued a mutual pushup challenge…the idea is to add 1 each day, so tomorrow I’ll open my rehab day with 16 pushups. I might go for a walk later with Rowan and my DS13, but it is raining raining raining right now, we’ll see how bad it is in a few hours and hopefully go out later in the day.
Mary – Oh my, I am so very sorry. Please do let us know what we can do to best support you. When will you be able to see Simon again? Soon, I hope.
Cathy – Thanks for thinking of my hip and the long hours of sitting and driving. It wasn’t too bad this time…yay! improvements are occurring. (Do you remember when I could barely get out of the car after a drive!) Sugar. Well, I think maple syrups, molasses, and honey in moderation and in small amounts are probably ok, and sugar in prepared goods like bread is fine. What I am abstaining from is sugar, brown sugar & succanat in baked goods like cookies , cake, and candy….and chocolate. I have been eating dried figs. *Snap* (that’s the sound of my cracking whip!) Lol
Tell me,honestly, don't you already feel better and notice a difference in your energy level? (hormones notwithstanding) Has the number on the scale budged?
Kim – I need a cat sentry in the pantry! I wasn’t doing anything terribly exciting – shucks. On Thursday I had a hair appointment in the larger city near my house- it is about 1.5 hr down a curvy mountain road. On Friday I drove into the Sacramento area (2.5 hr drive) to see Rowan’s breeder and take him to her groomer. While he was getting his long puppy locks cut down (boo hoo) the breeder and I went shopping and out to lunch. (bloat-er-if-ic Chinese – I swear, just add water and you could sink me to the ocean floor.) I bought a fabulous deep, rich brown leather coat and some pants. I tried for jeans, but I guess jeans aren’t cut for normal people anymore. Quorn – yeah – I’ll pass, seems to much like penance.
Regina – Ah – enjoy the warmer weather. I love Drill Max, such a fun one that also seems to go really fast.
Donna – Wow! Impressive! Great time on your climb. So cool that others were wearing firefighting gear, I love that! Was that part of a challenge, or were they cross-fit guys? I can relate to the long run on the treadmill thing – hence the euphemism dreadmill, I can’t seem to run more than 6 or 7 miles on the tm then I have to move it outside. How many races have you run? Does Coach Jenny recommend tempo runs, fartlek runs, race pace runs etc... what do your typical weekly runs look like?
MJ – Yes, only heterosexual treats, thank you.
How are you? How is work? Did you re-start STS? Which week are you on with C2 5k? Were you able to play tennis this weekend?
Kimberly – When I looked at Cathe’s February rotation and her notes – “you should be in peak condition” I laughed out loud. (although, she wrote it “peek”, which made me laugh more.) It does look like a butt kicker…yes, I agree, best not to do with STS.
How is your Atkins plan going?
It's noon here and time to do something productive...like empty the dishwasher and the cat boxes. Would be cool if I could empty one into the other, but I think my husband would FREAK! We'd be eating on paper plates for the rest of our lives.
Have a great one Warriors.
