Peaceful Rainbow
Cathlete
This morning was Disk 6 Legs - the workout the keeps on giving. Or at least it always has, so I'm anticipating a fair amount of DOMS tomorrow. Given that I'm only in Meso 1, my weights seem really high and potentially scary as the percentages increase.
Regina the Planetarium was good. The show was called "Follow the Drinking Gourd" and told the story of how the slaves from Alabama and Mississippi had a song that contained the directions to get them north to Canada and they followed the stars, in particular the big dipper to get there. They also do a segment every time on what the night sky currently looks like and at the end ask the kids what extra things they want to see. The guy doing the classes has done it for years and he and the kids have really good rapport, so it's fun for everyone.
I'm thinking you and Kimberly should put your husbands in touch with each other and then Kimberly's husband can convince your husband to go on the road trip. No matter what we tell them, hearing from another guy that it's a fun thing to do tends to carry more weight.
Boys have haircuts today. One who is shaggy and needs it, and the other who always wants to just get buzzed really short and his hair still isn't an inch long. Derek had wanted his trimmed a bit, but after someone referred to him as Nick's sister last week (an adult who didn't know him, so not like it was someone teasing him), he's wanting a bit more than just a trim.
