WORKOUT TUESDAY 8/17

Good Morning Everyone,

Last night after work I did IMAX for the first time - FUN! So today I decided to do a light workout and did Karen Voight's Streamline Fitness - its a nice flowing workout that uses dynamic moves with very light weights for the first half and yoga for the second half. I have tomorrow off work (which is very rare)and plan on doing PUB and PLB then.

Good morning Wendy....I think both of the Imaxes are fun and they really push you. Interval training like that is supposed to help burn off fat (or so they say!)

I was reading your post about overtraining. I rarely take a day off myself but since doing P90X on the day I do Yoga I feel like I give my body a weightlifting and high impact exercise a rest! Debra made some good points in what to watch for.

I am doing one of Cathe's leg workouts and then P90X PlyoX...talk about intervals....:)....Carole
 
I had CTX scheduled for today, but haven't done it yet because of unexpected visitors and an appointment with the hairdresser. It's dinnertime now. Think I'll still do it after dinner?

Did you notice I'm much more disciplined about working out when I'm working? Summer vacation is not good for working out. I admire those of you like Annette and Carole and Mari and the others who can be so disciplined they work out everyday..

Hi Ladies,

I will be doing PP and runnig 5.5 miles today. I need to workout hard today to make up for all the junk and drinks that I had last night. My friends took me out to celebrate my birthdate. I did dance a lot, does that count as a workout?
 
Dutchie, I really don't feel that great if I don't workout so I do it because I feel good afterwards. I tend to get interrupted alot with my 7.5 yos who can't understand that when mommy is working out that he needs to leave me to my workout. The older 2 are better with that.

I did Slow and Heavy back, then did the warm up and 1st 4 cardios only on Circuit Max then did abs and cooldown off of MIS. Kinda a hodge podge of a workout. But since I am trying to do this without the anti-inflammatory I don't want to tax my heel too much.

Thanks Dutchie...I really admire Annette too as she manages to squeeze in her workouts with the kids around! I am fortunate as being self employed has allowed me more time in the mornings to get my workouts in and no little ones to chase around...

Josie...yes I think dancing can be quite a workout...:)...Carole
 
Annette, that heel just doesn't want to get better, does it? Maybe I was wrong to suggest running in LV...:) :) :)

I have to workout every day -- though I take easy days when it needed. I just don't feel good if I don't do at least 30 min of something.

Another time crunch day -- my daughter is in soccer camp and I don't have anybody to car pool with this week, so I have to do all the driving -- it takes one hr every day. I deserve a medal, don't you think? :)

Anyway, 30 min intense Nordictracking followed by AbRipperX. That one I can only do sparingly, it does a job on my already busted hip flexor. But today it was just fine. Tomorrow I'll have a lot more time!
