Was up early cause one of my cats was making quite a bit of noise in the garden. And ofcourse Rover had to join in. Bad pets!

Did a short run with Rover. Knees were not behaving well. Shouldn't have done two long runs in a row.

Good morning Dutchie...take it easy with those knees! I awoke to the smell of smoke. There is a fire burning about 10 miles from us. I believe we are not in danger as it seems to be burning towards the lake and we live the other direction, but about 5 years ago another fire burned in the same area and the winds pushed it about 17 miles...that time it got too close!! So, no run today...:)...I am doing P90X YogaX today, I think the stretching will be good for me...I see we have some new posters....:)....enjoy the workouts...Carole
 
Good Morning Everyone.

Well, I did Cardio and Weights last night - what a great workout and the time just flew by!:)

I just finished Muscle Endurance this morning - it all goes pretty fast but I have to admit I'm not a big fan of leg presses.

I went grocery shopping last night and stocked up on healthy snacks and right now I'm feeling really motivated to change my diet so hopefully those last few pounds will just fly off!;-) The problem is that I eat really well in the morning but in the afternoons I give in to temptation. Just curious, but how does everyone else do with regard to diet?

I just got All Step and IMAX yesterday so hopefully I will have time to do one of those tonight. I'm so excited!:p

yikes Carole, a fire?! As in major area destroying fire? That's one of the things that don't happen overhere. Though we did have an "invisible" dune fire couple a days ago.

My diet's all over the place Wendy. Since about 5 days ago I'm eating cookies for breakfast, cookies for lunch and more cookies for dinner. Not to mention ice cream before dinner. But, I'm not gaining weight.... strange isn't it? Not loosing weight either. So I told son no. 1 that I need to loose 4 pounds:) Best trick in the book to make sure I stay away from cookies and icecream cause he's the first to make fun of me in public if I touch a cookie before I've lost the 4pounds :)

I will be running 8 mile at tempo pace tonight. I tried to do cardio and weights yesterday and I was terrible on the cardio part. I can't follow Cathe, when I go to the gym and do step I usually position myself behind the instructor and I do fine, but when I try to follow Cathe I have two left feet. Does anyone else have this problem?

I did MIC in its entirety!!!!:eek: :eek: I can't believe I did that but I made it through!!:D YIPPEE for me!!! We really need a clappy emoticon for times like this!! My legs aren't too sore from yesterday but my shoulders were this morning due most likely from the 65 pounds barbell I had on my shoulder yesterday even with a bar pad!:eek:

Josie - How long have you been doing Cathe? I have the same problem - especially if it is a workout I am fairly new to! Cathe will be on one side of the step and I will be on the other but trust me it gets better and you will get to the point where you and Cathe will be on the same page(or same foot;-) ). Also, it really helps me to focus on what she says - she is amazing with her cueing. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Annette - I did MIC in its entirety last weekend for the first time. Doesn't it just feel AWESOME - when I got done I felt like I could take on the world :D Wheeww! 65 pound barbell - I think that would literally kill me - I thought I was doing well when I upped mine to 30 for Muscle Endurance today! Good for you Annette!

Dutchie - Good idea about letting others know you are watching what you eat - I don't have children yet (just practicing for now;-) ) but I have told a few people at work and so far so good - we'll see how this afternoon goes. In fact, I tried chocolate soy milk as a midmorning snack and it was REALLY GOOD:9

Carole, Would you give us an update on the fire? Is it moving closer to you? Dumb question but is P90X is that Power 90 - could you enlighten me I know nothing about it? Thanks.

Nicholette, I am a cat lover and yours is adorable. As I mentioned before, I don't have children yet so my 2 cats (Griffen and Grace)are filling the role for now.

Thanks, I will keep my ears open to Cathe's cues. I have been doing the muscle strengthenig only because all of my cardio is running(4 days per week) and spinning (2 days per week).

It's so nice to see this group growing!:)

Dutchie, if you don't want to eat cookies don't buy them. I learned that things that come to the house will be eaten -- no matter what. On the other hand things that are not entering the house remain uneaten -- usually.:)

I did 30 min cardio this morning, and P90X Back & Biceps. What a butt kicker that is! There is no break, so fast paced. Now I'm sore all over, the yesterday chest is just kicking in today...

Last night I had another movie watching cardio w/ my son --- S.W.A.T. was on. Today we'll watch the end of it.

Wendy, my diet is OK. I know what you mean about those afternoon cravings. Usually that's when my blood sugar is very low, and it is so easy to grab something you don't really want to eat. I'm a big fan of smoothies, they satisfy the sweet cravings without guilt.
