Workout Thurs Nov 4th

Good morning.....I am doing P90X Legs & back and then a 9 or 10 mile run.

Then on a short trip to my FIL's for an early Thanksgiving with DH's family! Should be alot of fun....see you ladies monday or tuesday. Have a great weekend...:)...Carole
 
Totally OT

No workout for me today. My friend who was physically attacked by her ex a few months ago is in trouble again. Her ex showed up at her work place and demanded to speak to her, demanding the key to her house, etc. She's terrified to go home and was terrified he'd go to their son's school and take him. So I had to take time off from work to collect her son from school and make sure he was safe, while she's trying to figure out what to do and where to go. I offered her one of the rooms in my house, but she's allergic and I have three cats and a dog, and I won't even mention the "I'm not a very good cleaning lady" bit.

The other friend I helped yesterday, well sadly her dad died late last night and I had to tell her boys their grandfather had passed on. I truly hope never ever to have to do that again. Am helping her get things organised now, like calling her sons's school explainiing things, etc.

I don't know what's going on but this has been a very bad year for a lot of people I know (incl. me).

By the way, I almost forgot with everything else that went on, but someone took a shot at my house yesterday with an air gun. I couldn't believe it. Guns are not allowed in my country but adolescents somehow can get hold of them (it's usually adolescents with their warped minds who think it's funny, according to the police). I strongly suspect my neighbours kid, but got no proof, so not much I can do about it. I have to replace a sliding door that leads out to my garden now.

Anyone there to cheer me up?

Dutchie I would like to confort you but I really don not know what to say.You had stressful situations, to help your friend with terrible problems with her ex and help to your other friend too.I only can say I hope from the bottom of my heart that everything will be better soon.We are going to be here if you want to talk with somebody.

Carole, when you go away for a few days, do you continue your running schedule, or take a few rest days?

Dutchie, what sad things!! You are a very, very good friend; I hope that should I need support during such terrible times, I would have someone like you to help me pull through.

My workout today was Cardio & Weights followed by Pyramid Lower Body. I've just eaten my usual breakfast, but feel like I've barely begun to put a dent in my hunger. Lunch will come early today!

I did PUB this morning and will run 4 miles during lunch and go spinning with my friend this evening.

Oh, Dutchie, I am only pray for your situations with the friend, the death of grandfather and your mischievious adolescents. Hope all get better real soon.

All I could manage was PLB standing leg work only on the November rotation. I had no energy left for cardio,sigh, it took me almost 45 min. to do the 32 min. of the PLB that I did do.:+ I did move some drywall around another room, maybe I can count that toward the 30 min. of cardio that was required today. Just a no energy day!! and it is raining which doesn't help the mood either.:(

Dutchie I'm so sorry for everything you & your friends have been going through. I've noticed that things like that seem to happen in batches. Hang in there...you're a wonderful friend & anybody would be lucky to have you as one.

Carole, I hope your trip is fun. I envy you!

Katie & Josie you guys did my favoutite workout. And I KNOW your arms were cooked. Good heavens Josie, you're full of energy! I could never keep up with you. ;-)

Annette, you may certainly count moving drywall as a mini workout. I count anything I can think of! LOL I know what you mean though. It's rainy here, and cold. We had a week of warmth which just made it harder to readjust to cold. Yuck. Are you feeling better?

Mariángeles...you are always so sweet & kind. What...no workout??? I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone! LOL Rest day? If so, you enjoy it.

S&H Bi & Tri today with an extra set...ouch. Then Step Blast. Then I did a walk/run on the treadmill, which was boring as hell.

Taught a barbell class this morning and enjoyed the workout. I really love teaching my classes, it's such a fun and positive job!!

Good mix there Sandra, I like back to back workouts too.

Ruth, your triceps and biceps must be burning (in the good way!)

Dutchie, you've had a rough go, hope you get a chance for some rejuvinating 'me time' really soon. Your friends are lucky to know you!:)

Hi Ruth,

I am feeling better as long as I stay away from dairy, soy and I haven't had any peanut butter in about 4 days either don't know if that factors in or not. I may try to reintroduce one of the above here real soon to see how it goes. Otherwise I am doing great just not eating much.
