Afternoon All,

Did the warming up of KPC then did CardioX without the warm up and Ab Ripper. Somehow I didn't like CardioX as much as I used to. Don't know why. It doesn't burn that much calories either, only 188cals and looking at my notes, the average on the original CardioX is even less.

Well, need to finish a few things before I can sit down to watch the Olympic marathon.

Day off for me, after church went shopping for a strapless bra and black strappy shoes for my new little black dress (which has some lavendar and pick floral in it but is mostly black) to be worn in Las Vegas. Dh had better take me somewhere special for all the money he is putting out for this glamorous attire I am now the owner of.:D :eek: He really likes the dress says it is sexy and the neckline is very flattering, V in the back and front and fitted or at least is skims the curves of my body in a good way. Basically sleeveless with a little drap over the shoulders. I should look hot in Vegas and I hope to be down a few more pounds by then.:7

I have put together 2 possible rotations for this coming week I just have to decide which one I want to do. One has both strength and endurance workouts(weights) on different days for the same body part is that overkill? Say Pyramid one day for back and and then a couple of days later doing CTX back workout. 2 days a week on a body part one day being strength oriented and the other day endurance. Is that too much?

Annette I bet you will look great in that dress! No, I don't think doing PUB and CTX is bad in one week. I used to work one body part 3 times a week myself... :D ..

Today I did a 20 mile run around one of our lakes. I did walk the steep uphills but happy I made the distance...:)...

Dutchie, I am not a huge fan of CardioX either as it is too short of a workout. I am watching the marathon too. I was reading the posts yesterday and I also keep a hand written journal too and use a software program called Athlete's Diary which you can get at http://www.stevenscreek.com/ I think it only comes in a floppy disk though but a great program for memorizing courses you run and keeping track of ANYTHING you want. I like it to go back to review my different races and what I did the year before. Enjoy the day ladies...:)...Carole
 
Hello Girls

Well, I watched the marathon and cried several times. First, when Paula had to drop off at the 36 k mark, then later when Deena crossed the finish line.
It was just so emotional... man, I miss marathoning so much.:(
It was indeed a fantastic race. I always admired Deena, she is really my favorite marathoner. She just run a very smart race on that difficult course on that nasty hot day. I feel very bad for Paula. Things had to be real bad if she dropped off when she only had a little more than a 5 k left to run.

So, today I did 20 min Nordictrack followed by SJP. I don't know what it is, but I just can't get enough circuit style workouts. I have a totally unexplained 5 lb gain, maybe the every day circuits? It is so very frustrating. I have absolutely no clue why.
Annette, ditto on what Carole said, PUB and CXT should not be too much on one week. And I bet you'll look gorgeous in that little black dress....:)

Hi everyone, its late at night and I am so tired but wanted to chime in...

Today I did HSTA upper body and cardio only. Then my husband and I went to my SIL house and played 10 games of volleyball. In fact, I think I broke my pinky finger on my right hand. My husband pulled it and I felt it pop back in place so maybe it was just dislocated - I don't know. Anyway, it is purple, swollen and HURTS;( . I have no intention on going to the hospital - I'll x-ray it at work tomorrow. The dentist I work for is brilliant so maybe he can help. I just hope I can still work - I can't afford not to!

So, looks like just cardio and no weights for a few days!x( I can't imagine trying to hold a dumbell!

I did Kick, Punch and Crunch yesterday. Yowza! Today is my off day. I'm going to catch up on my sleep. ;-)
