workout socks-what do you like?

I really like Thorlos - especially for running. They are kind of thick and made my feet hot and that took a little getting used to.

I also really like Old Navy running socks - they are cheap, comfortable and wear well. I stock up on them when they are on sale - 3 prs for $3! I've also been happy with Nike/Reebok athletic socks - I've found them at Marshalls and TJ Maxx and they were inexpensive. In fact, those two stores are really good for finding athletic socks - they frequently have Thorlos for a good price also.

Hi Danna,

I hate socks and never wear them unless I'm working out. In that case I wear the tiny ped kind- actually smaller than peds- they just cover your toes & heel basically! I realize that this may not be helpful, but I figured I'd share anyway in case you were looking for a teeny-weeny thin sock!

Thorlo's for me too! I like the thick running ones. They have spoiled me. I don't like the "Lite" running or walking ones. Just the regular "original" running ones! It feels like I have extra cushion.

Thorlos have kept me from getting blisters with new shoes and my toenail fungus (sorry--yuck!) cleared up on it's own without medications and this is the only thing I can attribute it to. No other changes. I swear it's the wicking effect....

Tough question! I can't stand having a seam rubbing on my little toe, but seamless socks (on certain diabetes websites) are way too expensive when you work out 4-7 times a week! I CANNNOT STAND Thorlo socks--way too padded, and my feet feel like the circulation is getting cut off! I like some Nike little low ankle socks I found at TJ MAXX... I guess I just look for socks that aren't very thick and that cover my ankle only. Sorry, not much help!
