I currently take off sat and sun from working out but i do remain active on these days. My question is would it be better if i split my rest days up say wensday and sunday instead of having them back to back or does it not matter. thanks
I'm not Cathe, but I say give the split rest days a shot and see if it works better for you physically and psychologically. Personally, I hate going more than one full day without a bona fide workout, but that's just me.
I think the main thing is that you make sure each body part gets 48 hours rest (not including cardio of course). Other than that, you can take your off days whenever you want. We all have busy schedules & you have to do what works best for you. If splitting your off days makes exercising more difficult, than stick w/what you're doing now. The most important thing is that your workouts fit your lifestyle--that's what'll help you stick w/it.
