Happy Memorial Day Cathe! I have a question regarding a new workout program that I would like to put together. I have been training with a weight program that I put together for the past 6 weeks, and would like to change the current program around for the next 6 weeks in order to keep my muscles stimulated. I am currently doing a group muscle program (very similar to the PS series): Mon- just cardio, Tues- Cardio C/S/Tri's, Wed- Cardio B/Bi's, Thurs- Cardio Legs, Fri- Cardio S/Tri's, Sat- Cardio Bi's, and Sun- off from both.

My goal is to develop a lean, very defined (cut) physique (much like yours). I know in order to achieve this, one must lift heavier weight with lower reps, correct? and eat a healthy, low-fat diet (both of which I do). For the last 6 weeks I have been concentrating mostly on my arms (Hence doing S/Tri's/Bi's twice/week. I actually designed the program according to the thread you responded to labeled "Arm Definition." I have read throughout the forum that alternating between grouping muscle groups for a bit, then working them singularly for a bit is a good approach in keeping your muscles stimulated. What program would you suggest I do for the upcoming 6 weeks? I would still like my arms to be the focus. Oh, I would like to add that on the second days that I train S/Tri's, and Bi's, I try to go heavier than I do the first part of the week.

In any case, I am having some difficulty in designing a program. If you could, would you please give me some ideas? I would really appreciate it. You may also want to note that I have a universal type machine at home with the use of weight plates rather than pins or rubberbands. Any feedback would be a tremendous help. Hope you have a great holiday weekend. By the way, I absolutely love all of your tapes. Can't wait to get the new ones. You amaze me with each new tape!

I have a suggestion

You might want to pick up the latest issue of Muscle & Fitness Hers.

They have a 3 month summer rotation. I haven't done it (I just started a Firm rotation) but it looks good to me and I'll be trying it in the future. A example is day one you do a total-body workout & cardio (25min. @65%) Day 2 is flexibility training. Some days are only working certain body parts some days you do just cardio.

They also have workouts for your glutes, triceps and back. What's good about the magazine is they give you lots of good exercises and suggestions. It's still useful even if you don't belong to a gym.
