workout of november 29th

good morning everyone!

I just walked to work. Its a beautiful cool, drizzly day here in chicago. My workout for today is IMAX2 or terminator-imax extreme. I havent exactly decided yet. I hope everyone had a great long holiday weekend (I worked and worked out) and you are all rested to start exercizing hard again.
 
Good morning in Chicago! I am not up to Imax2 today, but go girl! that is a workout i have to do on a Wednesday. I do love it though!It is 6:30 am here in tx and i haven't been up this early in a month of sundays. my dh was snorring way to loud to tolorate so here i am. Today is upperbody / abs/ and SB because i didn't get it done yestereday ;( My legs were just not up to it. i learned a valuable lesson on Friday....don't do legs first and then try to step. not until my legs are more used to being used anyway! i have been so sore. last night, dh looks at me as a i hobble off to bed really early and says, "honey, why don't you go get a message tommorow?" I would , but I don't have time!!! Because he sprung it on me yesterday that the two head honchos of our biggest client and all of dh's employees and spouses are comming here for dinner tonight!!! ahgaghaaghhagh!!! i am not happy about it, can you tell???? Sorry to vent this morning. In case ya'll hadn't noticed i am not a morning person. So back to my workout, there it is. I hope all of you have an excellent Monday, and sorry i am rambling!

Good morning ladies...

Suzanne....I really like Imax Extreme for a longer cardio workout!

Jes....I have slept using earplugs for so long....DH got a bit tired of me kicking him when he snored..:eek: Hope you are able to get a workout in!!

Sandra...wow...you make up some killer rotations! Can't wait to see what you create with Hardcore...:)...I do try to squeeze in step during my training but yes, I will do more step after the marathon. I might even do some today.

Marla...I use 1.5 lb wieghted gloves with KPC...it is a great workout like that, fries your arms..}(

Laurie...good luck on the house hunting. I know you will find something that'll work for everyone. I think a 2nd PC would be a great investment for your household!

Today is P90X Chest & Back, AbRipperX and some cardio....did 15.2 miles on mostly trails yesterday. I do enjoy trail running as it is easier on the body....unless of course you trip...:+ ...enjoy the workouts ladies....Carole
 
Hi, good morning Suzanne and Jes. Today is the gaunlet of the terminator dvd for me. I will use a light weight in the weight exercises of bootcamp and C & W. Have a great day.

Suzanne, that's wonderful that you didn't have to deal wih traffic this morning! Chicago is such a beautiful city to go walking in :7 !

Sandra, don't think I'll have time this week to program IMAX2 and CW step...but I will definitely keep that in mind for next week perhaps...:+ So today I think I will do the SJP option...quick question...the rotation says SJP warm up and cardio...are you referring only to the hi/lo portion or the step and high/lo?? Just want to double check:)! Can't wait to try this tonight....hopefully I won't be hobbling around tomorrow}( :D !! Oh by the way I'm really thinking about ordering more stuff from Sharon}( !!

Okay, I did only KPC w/ 1lb gloves each hand. I was out of my mind thinking I would actually do KPC & PUB. My back has a nice bit of soreness now. Not bad though. Any ideas on what to do today? What about PLB. I usually WO after work & today is my 12 hour day. I have just about all of Cathe's WO tapes/DVD. Maybe Legs & Glutes.

Yes Laurie. It is nice. Thank you. I am very motivated after that horrible injury I want forget. Today I come back to my looooved gaunlet, my favorite terminator workout. I feel butterflies of happiness in the stomach.I am so happy. I can not wait to hear Cathe saying: you can do anything for a minute. Have fun.

Good morning! The start of a new week!

I did MIC followed by PS Back, biceps & abs. I was dreading MIC, as usual, but again, as usual, was on top of the world during the last step blast. I feel so good right now. Aaahhhhh. :)

Marla, I am rather relieved that you couldn't do PUB after KPC with weights. You are a human being after all LOL! Since you're asking, I suggest LG today, rather than PLB. PLB requires frequent lifting of a heavy barbell over your head, taxing your shoulders and back. Give them a rest and do LG.

Suzanna, what did you pick? IMAX2 or IMAX Extreme? I went to Chicago 5 years ago; loved it. I hope to visit again some time. Have you ever been in Oprah's audience? Or on the show?!

Jes, snoring husbands who plan Big Important Dinner Parties at the last minute and then suggest you make time for a massage are wretched creatures who must be neutralized. Rather like Cinderella's step mother telling her she can go to the ball, if she gets all the work done, then dumps extra work on her. Not nice at all. Does this man have any saving graces we should know about, before we send out the fairy godmother to turn him into a pumpkin? What upper body work will you be doing today? Have fun with SB; I'll be imagining you as Yosemite Sam!

Carole, when will you begin tapering? What step are you going to do today?

Sandy, I meant both the step and hi/lo. It's actually one of the premixes, and runs about 40-45 minutes, I think. I'm pretty sure the KPC combos (also a premix; don't do the warm up) run about 20 minutes, so you're cardio will be 60-70 minutes, will end rather intensely, and will incorporate hi/lo, step, and kickboxing. Very well-rounded, I'd say :) More clothes? Can I ask what the typical price is for her stuff?

Laurie, good workout! The second combo of SW is one of my very favourite, choreographically (is that a word?!) speaking.

Hi all, I did PUB Chest only with warmup then did CTX Step and Intervals. My weight is WAAAAAAAAAAAY UP so I need to get serious again about my diet.:+ :( Anyway back to a rotation that worked before and I like it so here I am doing it again.:D

Thank you Sandra.MIS and PS back, biceps and abs .Great workout. I understand your dread about MIC. The first half of hi/low is a killer. I usually do it once each week. There is nothing better than the sensations after these 35 minutes of hi/low but when I am doing it I think Cathe must be sadistic. I loove the step last segment. Easy coreo, intense and a great music except the song don't cry for me Argentina. What can I say about the step challenge at the end of the step part?. HOOOw. My legs are fried after all those jumps.

Oh yeah, I would say that is a VERY well rounded workout}( :) ...can't wait to get busy!! Oh that darn thing called work always seems to get in the way;-)

Well I don't have a list in front of me at the moment but I can tell you that the black pants I ordered were about $36.50 with discount and the tops seem to generally run anywhere from $25-$29. This is insane instead of visions of sugarplums I have visions of workout clothes in my head:7 :+ !!

Hi Everyone,

I can't seem to get back on track since Thanksgiving, so I need to check-in somewhere. I hope you all don't mind:) . I am hoping for a December rotation, but I don't see one yet. Well, last week I did mostly circuit workouts and am not sure what I feel like doing today. I think I may do either IMAX 1 or 2 and some Pilates. I have just recently started doing pilates and I am seeing a really big change in my core. A little in looks, but mostly in strength gains. I use to only do maybe 2 or 3 pikes and now I can do as many as the girls and Cathe on her workouts. I am going to try and add on a little pilates everyday to my existing workouts. Oh, and I need to focus on my diet for real!! These holidays are killing my waistlinex( !! Have a great day!!

Oh Chicago! Lucky you. I was there a few years ago for computer training. What a great city!!! No wonder you have to work out so hard, the restaraunts are amazing.

Today I will be starting Week #3 of the November workout. PS Chest/PS Triceps and abs. It will be fun to see how much more weight I can lift after 2 weeks of S&H!
 
Morning all! Well, I've been a bad girl for the past week and a half and it is starting to show. Between having my wisdom teeth pulled (and having way too many shakes) and Thanksgiving I have done some damage to my diet. Soooooo, it's time to get back on track. At least until Christmas right.:7

Anyway, today I am at home because my little one has Croup. I feel so bad for her and wish there was something I could do to help ease her discomfort. While she is taking a nap I did ME and cardio from All Step. I'm feeling good now and would love to have a protein shake, but I don't want to wake her up.

Hi Everyone,

Today was Cardio Kicks. I just wish I had more room to do all the sashays (sp?)and boxes around the room. I just don't like these moves anyway - not intense enough.

Jes - Good luck tonight and let us know how it goes. Your DH owes you....A LOT!!!

Where do you get the weighted gloves for kickboxing? I should get some - I love feeling fried at the end of a workout!

Thank you all for your jabs at dh! i needed to laugh!

Sandra, he does have saving graces, he is just oblivious at time. He spoils me rotten and is very affectionate and takes great care of my grandma and fixes stuff when it breaks and loves me very much and is wonderful, alas we all have shortcommings.

What happened was that his main client wanted to do something nice for dh and his employees b/c they have all been busting ass all year. He likes to cook (although he sucks at it IMHO!) so he "volunteered" to do in MY house! i don't think it has occured to him how presumptous or inconsiderate that is. So dh had to say yes and sound flattered and all that polite BS. So, i don't have to do all the cooking. Just some and of course get wine and look fabulous and make sure the house is spotless and all that "it's no big deal honey" stuff! So yes, Wendy, he owes me big time! But most men have no idea the things we do when people are comming over. And they are bringing all their wives who i have never met and as you all know most women notice everything the first time they go to someone's house. Spectacular. I will be drinking wine wihtout a doubt!!

Thanks for wishing me luck and yes i know this is the workout forum but i thought it the proper place to serpond since the conversation started here.

Wendy..I got the weighted gloves I use at Walmart. They came in 1.5 lb each and 3 lb each.

Sandy...thanks, its nice also to take a day off running today!

Sandra...I usually taper 2 weeks beofre the marathon and its on Jan 1st so about mid December I cut back on miles. I did Step Blast (combo's 1,2, and 3) from Timesaver. I really enjoyed it!
