Good morning! Today I'll do PH and MIS legs, shoulders, bi, tri form S&H and some abs from something....Mari....I caved.....ordered P90X last night...enjoy the day....:)...Carole

Ok this morning I did the Cardio Conditioning premix off of KPC then did the cardio drills off of Cardio Kicks then did the abs off of PSSL&A. I was down another pound this morning so that was great!!!:7 :D I would love to hit my goal before I go and see my doctor for my annual gyn appointment. I think I will considering I only have 3 pounds to go, though I might change my goal and go a little lower, not sure yet.

Anyway got to get the boys going on their school work, we have a busy week ahead of us!!

I am sore from Bootcamp yesterday. Man that is one heck of a workout for me, so I just did RS today.

Evening all,
Before dinner I did KPC abs+Power Circuit abs and I ran 7.5K in 52min. I was/felt really slow today. It was the warmest day yet, I was tired and only had a banana before my run. Plus I think that darn dog was still in my legs :) I do hope to do my fun run in 45min or less. Would that be a realistic goal or should I aim for 47min or less. I will add on S&H bi+tri in a few minutes.

Carole, I also ordered P90X, thanks to Mari who let me use her address for delivery.

Dutchie

Annette...congrats on the weight loss, you are doing so well! Dutchie I am glad to hear you got to order too. We will have to compare our workouts when we get P90X. I'm not scheduled to get it until next week,
but Mari did a very good sales job! When is the fun run Dutchie?...:)...Carole

hi Carole, Yes that would be fun to compare workouts, only it will be a bit longer before I get mine. It's scheduled to be delivered next week to Mari because I paid the whole amount. Then Mari needs to find the time to go to the postoffice to send it to me here in the Netherlands and if sent by post it will be another 2/3 weeks before I get it.

My fun run is next Sunday. It's my 7K "race". I'm pretty good at increasing my weekly mileage, but my pace stays the same: between 6:30-7:15min per 1K. Depending on how I feel etc. You know how it is.

Dutchie

It could be awhile before I get it too, as I was reading on another thread about P90X being on backorder all the time! Be careful increasing your weekly mileage. I know myself more than 10-15% per week increase is too much and could make for an injury. If you think you want to increase the pace time adding a day of interval training can help...:)...Carole

I am increasing total mileage with 1K per week working my way up to 20K to run the very popular Dam-to-Dam race in September which is 16.2K. It's my big goal for this year:) Right now my weekly mileage is at approx. 24K

My weekly schedule looks like this:
once a week I run with 1min walk breaks in an easy pace covering at least one more K than my long run, like 3-6-9-12-12-9-6-3.
once a week I run 1K plus 4x100m sprints and repeat six times
once a week I do a "long" run
I run every other day which means every second week I have an extra day to run and then I run something like 2x22min/5min walk

Naturally when life happens, I have to adjust here and there but basically that's it. Any good?

Dutchie

Hello gang

Nice to see everybody....:)
Dutchie, there is an hour plyometric wo in P90X that will improve you running times wonderfully. That type of workout just helps the explosive power of your legs a great deal. Your push offs and your leg speed will be a lot more powerful. Those drills lare just fantastic. I wish I'd still be a runner:(
I biked today for 30 min at close to lactic treshold listening to my new and very fast techno CD. Ab Ripper from P90X after.
Carole, congrats on ordering the P90X. I'm sure you'll love it!
Way to go Annette, how is the new perm?
Fab, happy recovery to you!

Mari

Hi Mari, the perm turned out great, I haven't had a bad one with this hairdresser yet. I came home to a cleaner house since the boys did as they were told to do. Now only to keep it that way til the grandparents come and go.LOL!! That will be the test.

Thanks for asking!!:D

Dutchie, that looks like a good running schedule. And like Mari said I bet the Plyometrics in P90X will help also. I don't know if you have them but the Imaxes could also help for speed. 16.2K sounds like a good goal for you! Keep up the good work....:)...Carole
