Good morning ladies...I am doing a 4 mile tempo run and P90X Legs & Back.

Mari...you seem to be having a great time with the Vita Mix!!!

Sandra...P90X Yoga was my first yoga. It is probably more of a strength yoga (power yoga) but the last 30 min is a wonderful stretch. My running times vary during my training depending on what kind of run I am doing. This was supposed to be an Easy run...not pushing...I ran the 6 in 53:10...

Also just got this info about soy for women. Short article http://www.swansonvitamins.com/include/newsletter/emailRU_100804/RUa1_100804.html

Enjoy the day and the workouts....:)...Carole

Good Morning Ladies,

I did not get to do my workouts yesterda, so I got up early this morning and did ME. I usually rest on Friday, I hope that I'm not too sore to do my long run tomorrow.

Carol, We have approximately the same speed. Do you do any speedwork?

Josie

Good morning ladies,

Today I did Cardio and Weights on 8" step-I can't help it I love the Buttercup song at the end! Got lazy during the abs section so I didn't give it 100%.

Thanks for posting the soy article Carole.

Well today and tomorrow I am doing an oral health booth to give out info and free samples at a health fair at the local Walmart. So, gotta go....

Talk to you all later, Wendy:)

Hi! Today is my 58th birthday. Yeah me!!! Every birthday, I make it a point to do Bodymax! I do this to prove I am still a strong and fit woman. I am leaving work early today because as you know, this is one intense and long workout. I use some modifications during the step section, but I don't modify sections 2 & 3. I'm usually drenched from hair to waistline when done. I will then celebrate with a Chile Relleno!!! I've earned it.

Yeah me!

Happy Birthday to you! :+ Hope you have a great one!
Today I'm doing my NordicTrack for 50 minutes, which is usually 6 miles. I also did pilates for 45 minutes and walked the puppy for 30.
Tomorrow looks like it may have to be my off day, with hubby gone I have a lot of running around to do with the kids, plus I'm taking them to see Shark Tale.
Have a good one! Susan

Happy Birthday Donnamarie!!!

HI all, I did MIC's step portion only and abs from Power Circuit. My weight was down 2.5 pounds this morning so I was happier and my dh's weight is also coming back down. Thanks for all the prayers.:7

I need to go to the health food store today and try and find some soy cheese that taste good.:D

Have a great day!!:)

Happy Birthday Donnamarie!

Today is my brother's birthday also he turned 47 and I'm just one year older than him, but he always calls me old lady.

Have a great celebration and enjoy you chile relleno, my grandmother makes the best chile rellenos. I should give her a call and see what she is making for dinner.

Josie

DonnaMarie, what an inspiration you are! I sincerely hope I am healthy enough to do BodyMax when I turn 58! Have a terrifically happy birthday, and enjoy your sweat-fest!

Sandra

Okay, I give. What is chile relleno? I thought maybe it was some kind of wine/champagne, but that's not the sort of thing you think of when people talk about Grandma's cooking.

Curious,
Sandra

Today is my 2nd last day of doing Cathe's January rotation, and it was IMAX2. My legs were very sore and stiff from the last couple of days' workouts (Cathe...evil genius...yadda yadda), so I was rather trepidatious about this morning's task. Turns out, IMAX2 has such a gradual and gentle lead-in to the sadistic stuff that I actually managed very well. The workout flew by and I even had enough energy to "jump higher!" in interval 10. Cathe makes me feel so good about myself :)

Have a very good day, everyone!
Sandra

Sandra,

A chile relleno is a california pepper that has been rosted and pealed, devained and the seeds taken out then stuffed with cheese or crab or beef then dipped in egg batter and fried. My Grandmother serves them with rice and beans and a spicy sauce over the chile with homemade flour tortillas.

Josie

Thanks for posting the article, Carole. A very interesting thing about soy intake and cancer is that these results are not found in studies on North American women. Researchers are now beginning to think that soy may confer its anti-cancer properties during puberty, when the hormones are going through critical phases. I eat soy regardless, because it's a very healthy food for many reasons, but this research has got me thinking that I'd probably do well to get soy into my daughter's diet, as well (She's 4). I've already got her eating flax seed oil on her salads and ground flax seeds in some of her food, but haven't attempted soy substitutes yet.

Enjoy your run!

Thank you Josie.... Chile Relleno's are far and away my worst sin. You just can't describe how good they are!

:p

Carole, it is all your fault. I was reading about it first in the "Eat to LIve" book! :)

Donnamarie, happy BD for you!:)

I did 40 min cardio today on the nordictrack, 30 min of it at high intensity. After that KPC abs then off to work.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Mari
