Good morning! I am doing P90X Legs & Back and a 4 mile run (got some new running shoes..:))...Dutchie, hope your knees are doing well. Annette, I am jealous of your tanning time..hope you are having fun though. I am also impressed with your S&H rotation. Those are tough workouts! Mari, I wonder exactly how many monsters you got to buy P90X????.... :7...have some great workouts ladies...:)...Carole
 
Hi Carole, I did Slow and Heavy Biceps then did the abs off of MIS then did the 42 min. premix off of Kick, Punch and Crunch (Intermediate Drills and combos 1 &2) and it ended up having abs on it too. Soo I got double ab work today. Though I really don't feel my abs working much on the stability ball, not sure if I just don't do something right or what but I really don't feel much at all.:+ :eek: :(

I am off to do a lesson with my youngest for reading (gotta finish the 100 EZ Lessons book even though we are officially done with school for the summer) and then out in the sun somemore. Though I will put sunscreen on my belly so it won't burn again.:)

Annette, I don't feel too much work either on the ball, I don't know why.
You had a nice wo today!

Carole, I did Legs and Back too. When I was doing those speed skaters my hr was up to 154! Usually I only wear the hr monitor for cardio, but today I was wearing it all the time and I was amazed by the fact that my hr stayed up in the 135-40s all the way.
I also did some 20 min HIIT on the stairmaster before weights.

It was raining buckets today. Really envy you Annette out in the sun getting a beautiful tan in your new bikini:) .

But, I was convinced I would have a great run. So my youngest and I went for it. He said only if we'd run 3K. I agreed but said we'd have to do a 1K warm up in my speed and a 1K cooldown in my speed. That made it 5K but little did he know}( The little brat made me pay for my cleverness though. His speed turned out to be 5:49/K. Oh my, he was killing me. I was so glad when the 3K was over and we returned to my turtles pace. But he did make me run my fastest 3K ever. A whopping 16:57min!!!! And he made me promise to do it again next week.

AND here's the great news: P90X arrived :7 :7. My oldest son was previewing while I was running. He wants to try it too!! It totally changed my weekend plans. I'll be previewing and reading about P90X. See its a good thing not to have a hubby :D

RE: CM planks, I finally can do it!

I did CM today, which I have had for about 4 yrs. Though I don't embark on it often, I have always dreaded the planks, simply because my arms shake and I can't hold the pose that long. And, I usually tell Cathe how nuts she is. I realized today that I am getting stronger. I did the whole plank segment without quitting. My arms didn't start to shake until the very end. I know for most of you that that is no big deal, but for me it is a great accomplishment since my upperbody has always been incredibly weak. Not trying to brag, but I'm getting stronger! Yeah!:7 Today instead of yelling at her I thanked her.:) I have been doing ME pretty regularly, maybe it's making a difference.
 
Man ... I don't know how you people who get up in the middle of the night to workout before you head off to work do it. I am SO in awe!! I just finished the third week of my new job, and I'm still having trouble doing cardio at 5:00 oh-my-god-that's-too-early AM!! LOL!! The lifting is getting MUCH better, but this morning Imax2 knocked me out before I got to the fifth interval. Sigh ... tell me I will get used to this ... PLEASE! LOL!! I love this job, but I know I won't stick to working out at home in the evenings. Too many things to do, and it's nice to have time in the evenings with my family!! I never realized how leisurely my schedule was in terms of being able to workout when I was truly awake, caffeinated, and warmed up!! LOL!!
