Good morning ladies!! Today I am doing PH Chest and Back and a new Taebo I got. Taebo Flex.

Laurie...the massage was awesome and my muscles were not as tight as usual. A good sign I think. Enjoy the workouts....:)...Carole
 
Good morning Carole and everybody. Today for me is a rest day. I started my holidays today. I have 23,24,25, 26,27 and 28 to be off of work. I have to working out hard during those days. Have a great day everybody.

Mariangles...enjoy your holiday vacation.

Being that my bootcamp tape is no longer, I'm going to sub with a trip to the gym (treadmill) and Bryan Kest Tone yoga. After my first use of MIC and my combo from yesterday...my body is tight...so I think this will be good for me today. I will be catching up with you guys slloowwllyy!
 
P.S.

You guys are right about the DVD's. This is the opportunity to switch over from vhs. It will probably be a little while before I can do that, so my workouts will probably be somewhat of a 'hodge-podge' until then. Also, doing Cathe on a miniature tv does not make it any easier!!

Carole, let me know how you like Taebo Flex. I was looking at this one to add to my collection. I have Get Ripped "blue box" scheduled for tomorrow. x(

As of 3:30 this afternoon I will be off of work for 6 days, in fact the same days that Mariángeles has off.

Most excited about the package that showed up from SNM. Got to love my DH for buying thing on my Christmas list. :)

Lisa...I love Bryan Kest! But I haven't done his workouts in a while so I may just pull that out and use it as my christmas workout:) By the way, I have one of those small TVs with tape/VCR and I can vouch for you...NO, doing a cathe workout on this small tv DOES NOT make it any easier at all, LOL!!

Jes, I would LOVE to come down and give you a hand, believe me! You are soooo funny I can only imagine what a heck of a time we would have mowing 7 acres together:D :p ! Everytime I read your posts I know I am guaranteed some sort of comic relief:7

Good Morning!! Workout is done! All of KPC then the OLD 8 minute Taebo workout and the floorwork from the Advanced Taebo. I hadn't done those tapes in a couple of years which made it fresh and fun.

Carole, that's awesome that your muscles are looser, it sounds like you are going into this marathon in peak form Girl, good on ya!!!!!!:) In light of my revisiting the old Taebo today, I am also very interested to hear how the new workoutis.

Laurie, great minds are still thinking alike, we both did Cathe! ;) :)

Enjoy your vacation time everyone, I'm in clinic today then that's it until Tuesday, we're getting very excited about Christmas!!!! :) :) :)

Morning all! Well I was supposed to do IMAX 2 this morning, but I just couldn't face those terminators this morning. So, instead I did cardio only from C & W and then Step Blast combos 1 & 2. I'm all cardioed out for the day!

Carole - How did you like your Tae Bo? I keep thinking I shoud pull my old TaeBo Advanced out and do it sometime, but I'd much rather do Cathe so I never get around to it. I'm really interested to see if it would still kick my butt the way it did way back when.

Well, just on a side note, my DH and I are in the process of trying to buy a new house so we decided to not get Christmas gifts for eachother this year and just save that money for the house. Yesterday I caved and bought him a Nolan Ryan autographed baseball that I know he really wanted. I just couldn't help it. I have the money to pay for it out of my own spending money (we have a certain amount of money budgeted out every month that I can use to just spend on whatever I want) so I used that instead of our savings. I'm really excited to give it to him, but I know I'm going to get the "we weren't supposed to get eachother anything this year" and "I don't have anything for you" speech, but I don't care about that. I just really wanted him to have something I know he really wants. Is that bad?

That's still a good workout:) :7 !! No buying him that autographed baseball wasn't bad at all, it is super sweet! You knew how much he wanted it and since you didn't dip into the savings for it, where is the harm?? Awww, if anything it shows just how much you love him:)! I think he will really appreciate it! If I were in your shoes I would have done the EXACT same thing:)
 
Good Christmas Eve Eve morning LOL!! I'm getting excited, as is my dd, who was up at 5am this morning!

This morning I did StepFit and the Ab Marathon (PUB, KPC, ME). Step Fit was a really nice workout for today, and allow my batteries to be fully charged for tomorrow's BodyMax. Not looking forward to BM, as I find the upper body weight work quite rushed.


Sandy - torn between SH and CTX? If you don't mind my suggestion, based on what you've told me about your workout preferences, I would recommend CTX. SH is awesome, but it is completely weight work, and takes up a lot of time. She spends 30mins on each body part, with LOTS of rests in between sets. There is no cardio element to these workouts, so if you only have an hour a day to workout, it would take 3 days of one week to get a whole body workout, and you would get no cardio. Of course, you could split it up so that you do one body part a day (30 mins) combined with a 30min cardio. That would take the entire week to get through your whole body. CTX, on the other hand, has terrific, intense 30 min cardios, as well as very, very thorough and challenging weight work. You could either do one body part a day combined with a cardio, or you could do the CTX upper body split, which is one heck of a great workout. You also get Leaner Legs, which is a staple lower body workout, IMO. Given your time limitations, I would recommend CTX. No, that's not true - I recommend them both!! But since you're only getting one, I recommend CTX. As well, you have preordered the HardCore Series, and I think the GymStyle workouts are going to provide a similar experience as SH. Get CTX! You'll get much more use out of it than you will SH.

Jennifit1 - that's quite a workout you had planned for yesterday! How did it go? Combining the CTX and PUB segments sounds exhausting!! Especially the biceps!!

Judy - IMAX Extreme is fun, I agree!! I probably use that the most frequently out of all the Terminator workouts. Can't WAIT for the Hardcore Extreme DVD, to see what she's cooked up with IMAX3 and all the rest! Belated happy birthday to you!

Chewy15 - how did you like your first run-through with The Gauntlet? It's a zowy workout; the transition between the 4th & 5th (I think; there's 6 circuits in that one, isn't there?) circuits gets me every time. THAT'S intense!

Laurie - how long was your 10-10-10/PowerCircuits workout, ff-ing through the weight segments? About 45 minutes? That would be a very good workout. If your arms were like spaghetti yesterday, they must be like day-old dried up noodles today! I feel for you (ouch!). And how come you kept your massage talents a secret until now <scooching closer to Laurie>? LOL at your description of your trip to Alberta and Lake Louise. Yes, we very much value our proximity to the Rockies. It will be very hard to move from here, just because of that. But it seems every where we go we manage to find something to love. There's a great deal about Kingston that I miss very much. When we lived there, we used to give visitors the "Prison Tour", where we drove a circuit and showed them all the prisons, and told them about the various "celebs" inside (Paul B and his wifey, ugh!). We also really, really miss the beautiful fall foliage you all get; fall in Edmonton takes 2 days, and consists of the leaves turning yellow, then falling to the ground. Big whoop. I also miss all the lakes and spectacular day-hiking opportunities. I hope Elizabeth chooses Queen's! It's a really, really nice university, as I'm sure you know. It's nice and small, that's a big bonus. Enjoy your holiday!

Tammy - how's your son's ear today? Those infections are nasty. Does he get them frequently?

Foodie Sue - yeah, I'm in Canada, eh? We also went ice-skating and skiing (cross-country and downhill). I loved the other activities; just hated the snowshoeing. I didn't see the point, really. The snow wasn't all that deep, and it was just a heck of a lot easier to walk in my boots without these stupid tennis rackets attached to the bottom! I hope your virus goes away soon. Sleep and gentle exercise are just what the doctor ordered! Enjoy!

Desertbriez - please motivate me to do BodyMax tomorrow!

Carole - that marathon is getting close!! What an interesting NY morning you will be having! There won't be anyone awake to cheer you along the route, will there? What are you doing on New Year's Eve? Having an early night, I'll bet. New Year's morning we will be taking the kids skating on a lake in the river valley, with friends, and then everyone's coming back here for brunch. I'll be thinking about you as I relax with a hot cup of coffee and a cinnabon ;-)

Mariángeles - enjoy your holiday!!! I'm sure you'll have a hoot with your workouts, with so much time on your hands.

Lisa - that really sucks about the BC tape and your player. Once you get the dvd player and a few dvds, you will wonder how it was possible to workout without it.

Laurie Mac - it would be killing me having an SNM package, but not knowing what's inside!! Only 3 more days....Do I presume, then, that you will be doing a Cathe workout on Christmas afternoon? :)

Katie - good cardio this morning! I think it's really nice that you bought dh something! I'm in the same kind of boat. "We" bought a digital camera this year, as a combined present. We're already using it, so come Christmas morning there won't be presents for each of us under the tree. I'd like to get him something to unwrap. It just seems impossible not to. I'll probably tell him it's from the cat.

Good morning. Today I did CTX Power Circuit. I would have liked to add triceps, biceps and shoulders, but I have tons of errands to run and gifts to wrap. Tomorrow we leave for a week.

I must say that sleep heals all. I got 9 hours last night and no longer feel I'm fighting a virus.

Joining in again here. Today was no cardio for me after IMAX extreme and tennis yeaterday. I wanted variety so I did all upper body segments & all but 1 ab segment of Timesaver DVD. Then I added from the leg workout of Timesaver starting at Kickbut lunges to end. I ended with 20" of Baron baptiste beginner vinyasa power yoga for a good stretch.

Sandy- I agree with Sandra on the CTX choice. I ordered it as my free shipping video when preordering Hard Core and use it in many different combinations.

Jennifit1- wow Pub with CTX! Let us know how your results are. I have done pub with PS one body part per day, that was a challenge.

Chewy are you doing many circuit workouts? I like to get them in periodically too. Then I get to where once in a while I want all weights on one day and all cardion on others.

Jes~ so is Gumbo day is the day you make it? Is it always 4 dyas before Christmas or do you do this more often? We love NO. We visit the Gumbo shop for their Gumbo everytime we go. And of course Cafe Du Monde!

Hey Canadain Catheites~ We are going to Ottawa for the Bell Canada Cup. Our youngest will be playing in it for the 3rd year. We usually get to Toronto at least twice during hockey season also.

Hi all, I did LEGS & GLUTES today with abs from PSSL&A. I can already feel it in my legs and I don't do any of the explosive stuff.:+ :( I hadn't done this one in a lonngg time so it was all new to me again, in a sense. I just couldn't bring myself to try Leaner Legs again, I have only done that one once and it about killed me.

Oh yea, nothing like accidently finding a receipt that says you are getting 12, 20 and 25 pound dumbbells for Christmas!!}( :+ I had asked for them and so my dh bought them for my boys to give to me. YIPPEE for me!!:D

Hello all! Applause for all the AWESOME workouts going on around here today! i am tired just reading about them!

Mariangles....I am very curious to see what scary workouts you do while having time off from work! You are always inspiring, but i have a feeling, you're gonna turn up the heat now! Have fun on vacation and burn some calories for me!!!!

Judy......gumbo day is the day you make it and we only do that when the family from California comes down b/c they don't have it there. i gave some details on yesterday's thread. Check it out! NO has some great shops and great food huh?

Sandy..glad i make you laugh and here's a hint...my mower has a rack on the back for my cooler and a "cup" holder in the fender. in the summer here it's in the high 90's even after the sun starts to go down i mow in very little clothing but you gotta watch out for them ant beds! they should film me for a Budwiser commercial or something! Also, the diskman is blaring of course!

So, my workout today, let's see...honestly, i haven't thought about it, but it has to be cardio only and it has to get done! i was upposed to do imax2 yesterday and i didn't so i think i'll go with that. gggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

It's so funny just when i feel I made up my mind about which workout I will get next, I then think, oh I want this and need that...etc., like a kid in a candy store!:p :7 ! So guidance from my fellow catheites is ALWAYS appreciated:7

Judy, thanks for weighing in as well! Versatility is what I need and it seems like CTX fits the bill perfectly:) How do you like the baron vinyasa tape?? I have some of his astanga stuff and I like it.

By the way, you all get those fire ants in Texas as well?? I did my basic training in South Carolina and they are INFAMOUS for their fire ants....ugggh, those little buggers can bitex( But don't worry, I can deal with them!!

Hi again, Carole I have to try Taebo.Is it similar to cathe's kickbox? Do you know Taebo dvd zone free?.

Lisa I hope you will have a bootcamp workout soon in your hands. It is one of my favorites. You can do anything for a minute except it is the terminator climbers but as Cathe says: they are so hard but you are gonna get it.I love it.anyway positive thought you can get the bootcamp/ ME dvd.

Laurie Mac a package of SNM. You know what that means? Lot of fun and sweat during the holiday days. I think I am going to be more tired after the days off of the job than now.It will be a friendly pain. I hope so.

Sandy you are going to enjoy the ctx my favorites are kickbox, 10,10,10 and power circuit format. I am a kickboxing fan.

Annete enjoy your dumbbells.I have done l& G during this rotation and the first time you do it after a long time it is hard.

Caren legs and glutes, SJ&P and MIC. Hooow an intense workout. The first part of MIC , the hi/low always leave me without breath.
