I am wondering what everyone works out in ? I used to workout in an underwired sports bra and a t-shirt, but I realised the under wire was digging in to my arm pit and cause me discomfort and swelling. So, I have invested in a sports lycra vest with a secret bust support in it (no wires) and it is much better. I was a bit dubious at first, because I am a 40" C cup, but the vest contains my bust rather well. On my bottom half I wear comfortable capri pants, and trainers and sports socks, because they soak up the foot moisture.

So, I am wondering what everyone else feels comfortable in, while working out ?

I love those work out pants Cathe wears in one of her videos and I forget which video it is now ? If i was slim, I would wear those too.
I have just checked which Cathe vid it is, where she wears the cool pants, it is CTX Kickbox.

Many thanks :)

Anna

Cathe wears pants in several of her videos, but I find them too hot to work out in (my legs sweat).

I wear shorts and a tank top, or shorts and a tee shirt on colder mornings, but I love the cold, so usually it's the tank top. I wear sports bras, and not even the really expensive ones you see in catalogs, I have 4 that I got from the Lane Bryant catalog, and they were only $12. each. I was coming down through sizes at such a regular pace that it wasn't worth putting a lot of money into expensive wear, and now that my sizes have stabilized, I just don't spend a lot to sweat at home. Don't get me wrong, I like to look cute, but for me, the tv/vcr and Cathe, I don't spend a fortune to impress! :) maybe if I went to a gym, but since I work out only at home, the more money I save in one area, the more money I have for videos! :)

I always wear the same thing, year round for indoor workouts. Spandex shorts, a sports bra, an old T-shirt and socks and running shoes. I use older ones when there is no impact, like for S&H or MIS, I use newer ones for step and kickboxing.
Sometimes I bring an extra T-shirt to the workout area, and change into it for the floor work if I've gotten the first one soaked, so I don't get secretions all over my carpet. Ewwww.

Shorts and a tank top usually. If it's cold I wear a sweat shirt over the tank until I'm good and warmed up and then shed the sweatshirt. Something about seeing muscles flexing in the mirror (reason for tank top) keeps ya motivated :) :) :). Good tennis shoes and socks of course. I do wish I had those cute pants that Cathe wears, but I think mogambo is right- they might be kind of hot.

Spandex shorts, sports bra. For tops, I cut the arms off old tee-shirts and even cut off the bottom of the tee shirts because if I am doing squats I hate when the tee shirt snags on the bottom of my butt. Not a really attractive outfit but one of the benefits of home workouts is that no one else can see how much of a slob I can look like.

I bought a pair of long pants similar to what Cathe wears in some of her videos, but like Donna, I find they are too hot to work out in. They look nice but are not really all that comfortable.

So, as you can see, my old tee shirts never die. They get snipped and cut and have a new life when they are too worn or stained for anything else.

I usually wear light cotton shorts (actually, they are my pajama shorts), a haltar top (with support, though) or a sports bra, chunky, soft socks and Reebok running shoes. I'll occasionally wear the flair leg spandex pants (similar to what Cathe wears), but I usually get way too hot for them.

Comfort is my #1 goal when working out though, and I pick clothes that breathe (cotton).

I wear bootcut workout pants and waist length tops I get my workout wear from a shop called Active Arena in Ealing. Its pretty pricey they have a small range USA Pro, Danskin, Myko workout clothes.

I stared buying in there in 2000 I still use the USA Pro pants that I bought they haven't stretched or lost colour ultra comfy. I have more problems with tops as I prefer ones with a built in bra and the with straps.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-06-02 AT 10:14PM (Est)[p]Honestly? Bra and string bikini underpants. What else do I need? Except, of course, when I go to the gym, where I wear capri workout pants and a big, baggy t-shirt. I don't like spending too much money on workout clothes.

Hi Anna! During those really hot summer months I wear Carushka wear. Beautiful material. During the other months I rely either on my Hotskins pants or my pants from Otomix and tops from either Nike or Danskin. Also tops from Speedo. Kathy
