workout change, what do you think

I have gained about 10 lbs in two months due to not exercising as much and eating a lot more. I think this week I have gotten back on track with eating but I am thinking I need to make a change in my routine. I try to do 2 days cardio, 1 full body weights, 2 days cardio and one day off. I am looking for any input I can get. What about just changing it to circuit workouts 4 times a week? I have a lot of Cathe's DVD's and I tend to not do circuits with the above mentioned routines because I feel like I have to have a "cardio" or "weight" workout. I love the HSC and Boot Camp etc but I don't get around to them much. Any input on this ladies?

How about switching off a cardio day and then a weight day. You can always follow a cardio or a weight day with a circuit (going lighter or heavier on the weights depending upon how you feel).

It really depends upon what your specific goals are. If you want more cardio than above (and depending how much time you have) you can do 30-45 cardio and same for weights.

Remember to change up what you are doing often. I rotate between HIIT/int train/steady on the tread, spinning, elliptical, kicbox, etc and I also vary the weight routines mixing endurance, heavy lifting, splits, and circuits.

Change keeps your body on it's feet and doesn't let it stagnate. Just be careful to give your body adequate rest and eat fairly clean. Good luck!
