workout card weight

I'm not sure if this was already brought up, but when I print out my WorkoutCards some of the exercises do not list my target weight even though I have done them and they are saved in my workout manager. Can someone help explain this? Or is this in the process of being fixed?

Thanks, Becky

I noticed that today, as well, when I was printing. I was in a hurry, so I just filled in the percentages myself and didn't note which ones are not filling in automatically. I assumed it was something strange that I was doing incorrectly.

When I printed my cards under the STS tab (where you select the DVD from a drop-down list) the weights come up ok (although in lbs).
But when I tried to print from the calendar (select the date --> click the grey arrow to expand the workout --> click Edit Workout button --> the Target Weight is missing in most boxes. Also, when I click Save & Print (at the bottom) the same Target Weights are also missing (and the ones that are not missing are different).

So I would suggest you print your workout cards from the STS Tab until the guys at SNM fix this little bug (spray away!!!!).

The WM is a huge program developers' project - I tried to create a database with all exercises, percentages etc so I could have my results in kgs instead of lbs and it was huge!!!!! Needless to say I gave up...:p

HTH,

Chris.

Hi Chris,

I have the same problems with exercises not showing up myTarget weight in the workout card! They are all highlighted in my 1RM drop down window!

Disc 1:

Seated lateral Raise Both Arms High Ends (Dumbells) no target weight in workout card!

Seated curls alternating + both arms (Dumbells) no target weight in workout card!

Disc 3:

Calves raises ( dumbells) missing in my 1RM drop down window + no target weight in workout card)

Wall squats double legs ( missing in the 1RM drop down windows + no target weight in workout card)

Drop side lunges into front kick combo ( same as above!)

Sequential lunge into front kick combo ( same as above!)

I am on my 4th week of STS. My workout cards skip out a lot of the exercises that I have done the 1rm for. I usually print mine from the calander. This last set I printed I just wrote in info from my last workout where I could. Also went trough the manual to see which exercises used more than 1 dumbbell when I wasn't sure what I would be doing so I could make notes on that. Hopefully this week I can move through the workout with a few less pauses. Most of the time I am adding 8-10 minutes of pauses for stops to change weights and make adjustments.

All of the exercises you have listed above should not show in your target weight on your workout card. Originally these exercises were included in the 1RM calculator, but have now been taken out as you really can't test these exercises accurately with a 1RM calculator.

If you have taken a 1RM test for these exercises before we removed them they will still show in your 1RM results, but they should not show on your 1RM workout cards.

I don't understand; why can't you test for them accurately? How are you supposed to know what weight to use without having done the 1RM test?

Thanks forthat info:D I was wondering that too, thought I was doing something wrong.

It doesn't make sense to me, either. For example, the squats to calf raises -- you want to know how heavy to go for the squats to get the best workout. The calf raises are not nearly as critical, and Cathe says right in the workout that if the weight you were using for the squats is too much for the calf raises, then drop it. If you're scrambling to find the right weight then it flies in the face of how the importance of the 1RM testing is and the need to keep moving in the endurance phase. And I do believe the testing was important. Having done it and being able to check the workout card for the expected weight has been fantastic. Not all of the weights have been accurate, but that is mostly toward the end of the workout when I'm more tired, so that makes sense.

Anyway, I'm rambling now. I have to copy the workout cards into Excel and format them to print them since I can't read the tiny print from the direct print, so I am entering my own percentages before I print the page for my notebook. Since I'm doing the longer rotation, I know that I'll be better prepared on the second time around for each workout.
