Goooood Morning girls,

It's a perfect 18C (64F) here today. No wind and the sun was out, but slightly hidden behind whisps of cloud.

So I went out for my first run in 16 days. I planned to do 4K with three 1min-walkbreaks but I was doing better than expected and ran 6K with two walkbreaks. I past the 3K marker at 20:18min which was pretty good as I had had my first walkbreak by then, but the second half my pace went considerably down. I finished in 43:18min. Probably because I went too fast the first half:) Yes yes, I know, no timing my pace on my weekend runs, but as I hadn't run for such a long time I really wanted to know:) My knees were fine, yeah yeah, but the outside of my left leg was troubling me. I'll be careful.

Payed a lot of attention to my stretch when I got home and added ME UB split.

Have a great day :)

Forgot to tell that I am now not only noticing loss of muscle tone, but also experiencing strength loss. Had very nicely toned arms, but not anymore. And I used to do ME without any problems, but I was strugling today with all body parts.

Might be because of my very nasty encounter with the flu bug.

Good morning too....Dutchie, I know that feeling when you get to running after a break! I know you will be careful, sounds like the run went well....Yes, I agree loosing some strength from the flu is certainly a possibility..I am doing KPC instead of KenpoX and my favortie...Ab RipperX!....enjoy the day...:)...Carole

Hello girls

Dutchie, don't sweat it, your muscles will come back very soon. I'm glad that you had a good run!
Carole, I did my own version of Kenpo today -- 40 min on the bike while doing different upperbody moves with lighter weights. Oh man. That was a real great workout! At the end Pyramide abs w/ medicine ball instead of stability ball. except of course for the pikes. Feeling so just good now.....:) :) :)

just wanted to tell that we've been to a dog shelter today and finally found us a dog. A black labradorXborder collie, a little over one year old. We've been looking for a suitable dog for six months. I'll be taking the dog with me on my runs. But like me, he'll be on a schedule :) And he still has some other things to learn :)so we will all be going to dog obiedence classes. Unfortunately he was coughing so we have to wait till Monday to find out if and when we can take him home.

We're all so happy:) :)

Late workout for me, taking boys to swimming lessons, then helping dh pull up really really old carpet then the subfloor underneath the dining room, then taking middle ds to tennis, took up most of my day. I did just manage to do 32 min. on the bike on the trainer.
Before which I had fixed supper and continued to help dh clean up the dining room and find places for all the stuff that was in the dining room that now has to have temporary homes. Felt good to just do something.

Have a great evening!!:7
