working up to full new workouts

Hi all.
I just received my new DVDs from CK Sales ( yay ) and I was looking for tips on how to work up to these longggg sounding workouts. I have completed the Beginners Rotation and would like a new challenge but I don't know if I'm ready to do the full workouts I just got in the mail. They sound a bit hard for me to do yet. I don't want to overdo it and hurt my back or knees. Thanks.
PS God bless to anyone in the Military or who has family and friends in the Service. It is Remembrance Day here in Canada, and my heart goes out to all Military personnel. xo I am so grateful for their work and sacrifice.:)

Hey there! I am doing this too. I started with LIC. I first did the cardio premix since cardio is harder for me to catch onto. Then, I did the first 2 circuits plus the abs and stretch. Then, I did the warm up, circuit 3 + the bonus cardio and stretch. I will continue this pattern until Saturday when I plan to do the whole workout.
Next week, I start on Body Max--I'm going to break up the workout for two weeks. I'll do the cardio premix first, then the Power Circuits. I plan on tacking the upper body on every other day or so as I'm learning the cardio and the circuits. My plan is to be able to complete all of Body Max 2 by Dec. 2. (I'm working in some familiar workouts during the holiday week.)

I don't know about you, but for me it is essential to STOP thinking I should be able to keep up with Cathe on everything (especially weights). I did the barbell curls without the resistance band and I dropped the barbell weight. I finally realized I can't work out at ALL if I'm hurt, so I'll just do my best to keep up and finish.
:D

I usually don't have the time (or desire) to do workouts as long as these are, so I've been doing most of them in parts.

The only one I've done all the way so far is LIC--I even added in the bonus cardio and repeated the back work.

For BMAx2, I did the step/circuit/cooldown one day, and the double upper body premix the next. I did Butts and Guts pretty much as-is, but skipped the 12 minutes or so of core work. I followed that the next day with the Drill Max cardio and upper body premix.

Each of my modified workouts was about an hour long, so they weren't short workouts by any means, but just the right length for what I prefer.
