working out 4 times a week enough?

Lately, I noticed that I say I do 5 times a week. But one of these 5 workouts, I wake up to do it but I end up unable to. I had phases I was able to do 5 times for a long time. But I think I might have to focus only on 4 times a week and arrange my schedule that way. I don't know how all of you do 6 times a week. May be I can do that for a month but I don't think I would be able to keep it up. May be if I wasn't going to work 5 times a week, I would be able to workout more. But not every morning I have the energy to do so. I mean, I am only 30 and some of you are 50 and do 6 times...
I don't think I can ever do that.

Do you think if I do 4 times a week for a while is enough or should I just make an extra effort for that 5th day.

thx for your help

Working out one day a week is better then nothing, so don't cut yourself short. You are at least doing 4 days a week and that is commendable! And I'd say 4 times a week is good to maintain what you have now and if you watch your eats and such you should be fine.

Darine - If you're doing good solid work 4 days a week, I wouldn't sweat sitting out or taking it easy on day 5.

My schedule has gotten down to mostly 4 days a week, once in a while 5, and occasionally 3.

I find that my performance suffers if I try to go more than 5. I'm also in awe of people who can do 6 days a week.

nothing wrong with that

I do 6x because of my PCO not because you have to. If you are tired, rest. Sleep is as important as a workout. Make sure its real sleep. Or if you are stressed out just twenty minutes of stretching or meditation can really help you feel better. I think if you are doing four days a week that should be enough. Its really what you eat that matters most. Also, the intensity of the workouts that you do get is important. :)
