Woodchucks in KPC

I'm having a hard time doing this move right. It seems like the leg I should be pulling in is the one on the floor. Could you explain this move to me? Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing, but aren't the woodchops done in the abs section on the stability ball? I don't believe that you're pulling your leg anywhere with this. So roscoe - what move are you talking about? Maybe one of us could help.

Are you talking about the move where you use a variation hammer punch and come down grounded with the leg and pull back hard? If so yes, the leg that comes down with the punch comes back up. I find this move very challenging. You must keep control of your leg as it comes down, dont slam it down. I found that I had to watch Cathe do that move a couple of times before I attempted it.

Carmen - Yes, this is the move I'm talking about. Sorry I got the name wrong. I've only done this workout 1 time and couldn't remember the name.

Thanks!

Karen,

You have to be careful of your back foot as you do this move. It rotates to the front as you punch (sort of a lunge maneuver with your legs at 90 degree angles), and then on an angle as you bring the leg up. It swivels. And yes, it's a very challenging move that takes your breath away ;-) HTH!

They absolutely do NOT like for anyone to pull their back foot! Definitely leave it on the floor if you know what is good for you! :D

I modify this move by taking out the pivot and just doing a front lunge-reach when hammering down with the punch.
