Wishing STS had Cardio

Am I the only one who is not interested by STS?
When I look at the videos... it looks like fun, but when I focus on lifting weight.. my results are not so great. When I do more cardio, kickboxing and circuit workouts, I get better results.
I wish the same concept existed but that have some cardio in it too. I know I can incorporate my own cardio. But I wish there was new cardios.

Anyways... just my opinion.

When I did P90X, I actually gained weight, not only muscles, fat too. I think I am a big eater and I can't just focus on weight. My muscle get bigger... but surrounded with fat HAHA... I need more cardio than weight.

So now, I do more cardio even if STS attracts me. I like the idea of so many new workouts and it's all made for you to see results... just that it's all weight lifting... anyways, just wanted to share

I'm in the same boat you are. I need more cardio for me to keep the fat off. A good balance for me is 4 days of cardio (3 at the minimum) and heavy weight training mixed in there on alternating or split days.

So I'd love to have STS, but the program as it stands wouldn't be quite enough for me. So I'm sticking to the older videos.

I don't understand . . . STS is 3 days of weights, 3 days of cardio, 1 day of rest. I am alternating weights one day, cardio the next. Sometimes I am also doing a 20 minute cardio on a weight day, but it just depends on how much time I have. I am also sometimes going to do cardio on the rest day depending how the next weeks schedule looks. Based on what you said, shouldn't STS be good for you??????

But, I also wish STS included cardio for the alternating day. Maybe her next series will be a cardio STS.

The "STS program" is the 41-disc STS set, which includes no cardio.
Cathe has put together some STS "rotations" that include cardio (but this is cardio from her earlier workouts, or other types of cardio).

I'm impatiently waiting on the MMA series that was announced before STS even was started. Cathe no longer seems too interested in that, though.

I must be in the minority, too.

Seems we have been inundated with weight workouts from Cathe. I really like the 4-day split because it had cardio included.

After reallizing that I sure could use the $$ and that I had plenty of other weight workouts, including P90X, I bailed the STS workouts.

I certainly wouldn't blame Cathe for taking a well-deserved break, but it would be lovely to have some new cardio challenges for a change.

Just one new cardio DVD would satisfy me.

I love the STS series, but I would like a new cardio to add to my cardio rotations on my "off from STS" days.

I've been dying to post a question regarding this same issue but didn't dare because of the size and scope of STS. I, too, am waiting for some new Cathe cardio. I did purchase STS and then canceled my order. I think I'd only really do cycle #1. The GS series fills the cycle #2 for me and cycle #3? Well, that ain't for this endomorph body and I'm too scared to even take the chance to try it!

Yes, I'll be patiently waiting for the new cardio dvd right along with you.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling cynical and sorry for myself, I feel like I've been left at the station while everyone else is on the STS train, and not just because I didn't have the dough to buy a ticket, but also because I've ridden that train before - only it was call the Slow and Heavy Train and the Gym Style Train and the -Max Workouts Train and the Pure Strength Train and the CTX Train, and the MIC Train, and the 4 Day Split Train and the,...well,...you get the picture.

I mean, really, pushups are pushups, no matter how you spin it.

See? I can be a very good cynic. I just hope it doesn't sound like sour grapes, 'cos it really isn't! Hee!

I bulk up too much as well, probably because I eat way too much after heavy weights. So I think I'll not do the max weight and make sure the yoga and cardio finds its place in the week. Perhaps I will only use 1 STS dvd/week!

Kickboxing, Bootcamp, Drill Max... this kind of cardio, not so much step honestly give me great results.

I am focusing on Kickboxing right now and I feel great!

I get a bit bored with Step Workouts and I have enough.

Anyways... I am happy at least to know what works for me. When I focused on weights... I hated my body.

And I am happy I am not alone :)

You are not alone! Too much work w/heavy weights is not a look I care to achieve.

I am going to take the RMT, but I feel that since I bulk up easily, I may back off the percentage of my reps - especially in the hypertrophy phase.
