Why so much?

I don't get. Why does it cost so much to ship a dvd? I would love to take advantage of the 30% off dvd of the week and replace all my vhs's, but I don't think it's much of a deal if your paying $10 for shipping. Doesn't make much sense. Why does it cost so much? I don't see a usps option.

All you have to do is select "more carriers" in the dropdown and you will see the option for USPS. We use actual UPS and USPS rates, so the rates you see are pretty much what we have to pay UPS and or the USPS.

You will find USPS to be cheaper on low weight orders and UPS to be cheaper on heavier weight orders. $10 may seem like a lot of money for a single dvd, but that is what UPS charges for most 1 lb and under packages. USPS is a lot cheaper for single DVDs and you will find a significant price drop in shipping charges when you select this method.

I always use USPS for dvd shipments when I order from Cathe's site and I have to say, it is pretty cheap and the dvd always arrives within a week.
