Why is it that some people.....

Bobbi and I have become the "moving on committee" in two forums now LOL

I do want to add that I just read Kathy S.'s reply to my comments on the other thread and I appreciate what she had to say. I think we're all just trying to protect our forum friends - nothin' wrong with that!

My last word & olive branch

Karen, Mindi, members & visiting VFers,

I think Karen's right that I did what I asked you all not to do, and, as Karen put it, wagged my finger at a whole community because of my frustration with seeing Cathe's crowd criticized again at VF. I agree with everyone who's said let's move on and get along, and to all of you, I'm really sorry and quite PO'd at myself for adding fuel, not water, to the flames. Never, ever my style or my intention.

Mindi, I shouldn't have singled you out unfairly. I hope your customer service issues are quickly resolved and I sincerely hope to see lots of you around here.

My last word on this is to repeat what I said in the other thread over at "Ask Cathe", and that is this: Next time a thread is started at VF where the "cultish and intolerant" supposed nature of "Cathe-ites" is critiqued (and I fear that there will be a next time because it's happened repeatedly for years, but I'll hope there won't be a next time), would those of you who are regular posters at VF please step up and post a defense of this community? Anyone is always welcome to come here and post constructively critical remarks. If someone on this forum responds to an appropriately-worded criticism by going off onto a flaming rant (and that certainly includes me), he or she will have earned a good thrashing from the rest of the membership.

P.S. After some thought I have revised my original post, because you guys quite correctly "called" me on it. I've tried to remove all elements of stupid name-calling (since my adult self has re-asserted her voice :)), but I've left the gist of the post intact because it still expresses how I feel about this recurring but let's hope now dead issue between VF and Cathe.com.

Mindi, I hope your customer service issues are resolved soon as well, and I apologize that my collective opinion of the VF forum offended you. I'm entitled to my opinion, but I should have kept it to myself, obviously. However, in the future, when you have a problem with one of my posts, please READ my explanation. You did not. Instead you accused me on here of attempting to "weasel out of it". I do not "weasel out of" things on here. You wouldn't know that, but the regulars on here do. I take responsibility for my words. I attempted to explain my position to you, but you didn't read what I said. Instead you talked about me on other posts here, and attempted to bait me with your silly "Jerry Springer fan" post. I'm not a child, and I'm assuming you aren't either? So I would appreciate it if in the future the two of us could speak to each other on here as adults. You don't ever have to bait me or talk about my posts as though I'm not there. It won't provoke a reaction out of me, and it won't accomplish anything useful. It's been my personal experience that trying to bait people on public message boards rarely accomplishes anything productive, and it certainly doesn't spark adult conversation. You can talk to me directly. I don't bite. I have strong opinions, as the folks on here can tell you, but I also believe we are each entitled to our opinions. However, when I inadvertently hurt someone, I always apologize, as the folks on here can also tell you.

I sincerely hope this clears up this issue between you and me once and for all, because I'm really ready to move on now. Thanks.

Carol

I don't have any customer service issues, I never have had any and hope not to have any in the future. I am not the original poster who described having any, I only felt I had to post my thoughts re: a few blanket comments made about VF as a whole, not about Cathe's customer service quality.

I myself, have only gotten great service and am very pleased overall and hope to continue to be! Oh I did gripe a little about the wait for the last series, but that was only out of anxiousness to get them! LOL

Carol even though your post isn't exactly what I'd consider makeup material, and you missed my attempt at humor and consider it 'baiting,' amd even though I read DID your explanation and still feel the same way as I previously posted, I'm not going to continue this argument because its tiresome and pointless and I'm going to write this episode off as internet misunderstanding.

Best.

Expression comes naturally to you and you are rarely at a loss for words; in fact, you have to put forth effort at times to curb an over-active tongue. Self-confidence has made it easy for you to meet people and you are well-liked for your spontaneous, happy ways. You sincerely like people and do not often experience loneliness; your work and home-life are likely filled with association"

Hey Nancy!

I'm wondering, too, from what fertile imagination came "Lacey Underalls". :) I think we've got a wee Cathe-ite wiseguy (although so far a welcome one) in our midst. Here's my evidence: The fact that this is a brand new member and a very wink-wink screen name AND the fact that this mysterious person has appeared only (so far) in this thread. Hmmm........

RE: Hey Nancy!

...and has not written a single word of her own, perhaps because she does not want her writing style to be recognized...

Obviously, you’re one of the posters Trevor was referring to when he started this thread. We have a pretty good idea who you are (this is not hard to figure out) and politely ask you to refrain from making any further post on our site. We would also like to remind everyone that when you see a new poster with only a few “total posts” acting in this manner, please just ignore them. Though there is no perfect way to know who is a troll and who isn’t – the number of total posts is a great indicator.

Yup, this thread was "mysteriously" revived at VF even though it was started in February. The situation had been resolved and happily. The newest (reviving) post stated the obvious - email customer service at SNM though this had clearly been done and SNM did exactly what they needed to do. The ONLY reason I am even posting this is I was horrified when I went to VF and saw it revived after all this stuff we've been dealing with and seem to have resolved. It appears someone wants to flame dying fires.
Back to the everyone getting along mode!

RE: Hey Nancy!

Lacey Underalls was a character in the movie "Caddyshack". I imagine it was a play on words, because there used to be a product called Underalls, and I think they had an offshoot of that called lacy underalls. They were panties and pantyhose in one. I'm really dating myself here - LOL!! Maybe the person who did this was just bored and trying to have some fun? Anyway, there was no real harm done. No one got flamed, and nothing was posted that we didn't already know. I guess it all depends on your sense of humor. Personally, I thought it was kind of funny! Of course, I have a very bizarre and twisted sense of humor, so I'm probably in the minority here. Always the rebel. :)

edited because I'm still half asleep from working the past two nights and I mixed up a few words there in my first version - LOL!!

No harm, no foul, all players go home now!

:)

Let's put this one to bed, shall we everyone?

We have two great online fitness communities at VF and Cathe.com, great leaders, great members, lots of overlap, lots of wonderful online fun and friendship and great information. Mutual respect and admiration should be overflowing around here. 'Nuff said.

And sayonara, Lacey Underalls, whoever and wherever you may be. :)

RE: Hey Nancy!

LOL!! I cannot take credit for this! I don't usually take female names under any circumstances. Even if it is a movie character. Caddyshack is classic though! :)
