Why I Work Out in the Mornings

I thought about this last night after I accidentally kicked the dog in the jaw. (please no complaints to ASPCA...it was an ACCIDENT!)

1. I don't have to choose between watching "Lost" and doing "Imax 3".
2. I can grunt and curse all I want.
3. I don't have to answer "You're working out AGAIN?"
4. I don't have to listen to a giggley "HA! Mom, you're GLISTENING!"
5. Dogs are locked upstairs to stay out of sidekick range
6. *RING!* "Mom! It's for you!!!"

Great thread !

1. The U 8 soccer parents won't be staring at me as I run by their son/daughter's game. Wondering----who is she and why is she crawling her last mile on the trail:D

2. My husband is at work--- no grey area there--- he won't be DEMANDING things from me as I'm bench pressing. HELLO---THESE ARE WEIGHTS--AND NO I DON'T KNOW where your putter is--but would you like this weight instead--like on your forehead--hehehe--KIDDING--really.

3. I can blast the music while lifting

4. My MIL sleeps in--no phone calls from her--well she sleeps in till 10. If I time it right--I'm golden

5. If I didnt--forget it. It wouldn't happen. I would feel GUILTY doing it during PRIME time

And the most important reason why---- I wouldnt get to see the serious man running in his *pickle suit*

1. It doesn't interfere with any family time, so no guilt.

2. I have an exercise partner waiting for me (most mornings), so it is just like therapy. We solve all of the world's problems before 7AM!!

3. It is over and done with long before most people are even awake!!

4. I am a morning person. I actually look forward to my morning workouts!

I do my cardio in the morning (weights are at night) because:

1. No matter what happens at work the rest of the day, I've gotten exercise in for the day.

2. Because if I don't, I feel fat, lazy, guilty, moody, sluggish, ill-tempered and out of sorts (not to mention sleepy, grumpy, dopey, and sneezy) ;) for most of the rest of the day.

3. It keeps my tendency to be anxious (not to mention obsessive!) in check better than waiting until the night to workout.

4. After years of doing cardio every morning, I have a hard time with it at night--I don't have the same energy level to do it.

1. I have to workout on an empty stomach
2. It gets my day started with a blast - literally, sometimes!
3. I can't leave the house without showering, so if I worked out later in the day I would be taking two showers a day
4. It's MY time, no ifs, ands or buts:D

I stole most of Bunbuns post:

5. I'm a morning person who wakes up at 3:30 to workout 6 days a week.

I have to work out in the mornings before my brain figures out what I am doing!!! (This usually occurs during the plie hops in Interval 9!!!!)

1) I can do it before anyone else is out of bed so it doesn't interfere with anyone
2) It energizes me for the day
3) There's too much going on in the evenings with Nik's music lessons, my lessons, and band things
4) Where else could I workout at 4:15 AM besides home???

I workout in the mornings because
1. It gets me going and I am energized for a good part of the day
2. It keeps me from being interrupted with phone calls and doorbells
3. I like only having to take one shower a day
4. I know if I think, I will do it later, more than likely I will not. Although years ago I did it late at night, after switching I could never go back unless forced to start a new habit:)
5. Later in the day is when other things are most likely to come up.

I workout in the morning because

1. It get it over and out of the way.
2. I don't have to stop every five minutes to break fights between 2 and 4 year up.
3. I haven't eaten yet.
4. It helps me get my oldest to school on time.
5. I love the complete quiet I get and that no one else want's my attention.

1. No interruptions!
2. Helps me starts my mornings off with endorphin rush/good mood!:)
3. I feel guilty doing it in the evening with ds playing all by himself.
4. If I wait until evening, I'm less likely to do it. (like Tuesday, for example.... :( )
