Personally I'm not crazy about interval training. My limited understanding is that it works better for low fat diets than low carb. I'm on low carb & I see much better results with straight aerobic workouts rather than anaerobic.
I do some form of cardio 5-6 days a week, usually 2 of them are interval. I do them to alleviate my boredom from the straight cardio workouts, but in all honesty I do lose get much better results with aerobic exercise.
