Why do so many women do this?

I don't hear mmmBye but I have a friend who makes every statement a question and it drives me nuts! But now that the discussion of insecurity has arisen with this, it fits her! Maybe this will lessen my annoyance!

Oh my gosh, here is one that really goats me...people will say, blah blah blah or what not. What not what? They add "what not" to everything! Has anyone else noticed this?

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Bowflex! This was a great gift! I'm not using it all the time, like yesterday I did ME for a change, but I love having the option. It's great for my legs, chest and back as I can go heavier and it's just different so my muscles are being worked differently. My DH has quit going to the gym and is using it 4 days a week before work. So it's getting used! :) :)

Good for you and dh! That is great. my MIL/FIL have one and htey have NEVER used it...i keep wanting to steal it from them! i got a weight bench that has the deal to do quads and hams on it and a barbell(finally) with 110 lbs....i'm loving it.

Awesome! Well you should give the Bowflex a try over at the IL's and then maybe they'll give it to you! :) Hint hint...well if you have room for it that is! :)
Jo

mine only says it when he is impersonating a bumpkin!

jes

jo i thought of that too...they are so easy to persuade!}(

once in a while that's true....but we are so out in the boonies that it is actually considered Fannett...beaumont is the closest "real town"

That would drive me insane!! I think it's a regional thing too. I am a Philly girl and never heard anyone say that around here.

Aila:)

Well, it's probably lovely out there. I wouldn't mind leaving all this frickin traffic, moving out to the real country & ordering everything online. I can only dream.:-(

MMMbye is really annoying, so is bye now! I love the midwest accent though, especially Minnesota or Wisconsin. I live an hour outside of Boston in NH and the Mass accent is horrible - I like to think I don't have a New England accent but certain words I catch myself saying, especially if it ends in a "g" then I tend to drop it, ie, frickin, walkin, etc. Boston is home of the silent "r", paaakin lot, cah (car), chowdah, beeah (beer), wicked awesome!(don't hear that one too much anymore though).

There's a Pittsburg/ Ohio thing that my husband does - he's not even from there but his family is - he'll say things like, "the car needs washed" or worse "the garage needs cleaned" UGGG! It drives me nuts!

>No prepositions at the end of sentences for me either please
>:7 My fav is "where'd ya get that from?" ( big country
>accent)
>catherine

As someone once said "Prepositions at the end of a sentence are something up with which I will not put!"
:)

I have a colleague who says "East-run" instead of Eastern (the name of our university). Very odd, especially for a teacher, I think.
