Who's thinking of going on the Road Trip?

You're my hero Shelley! :D

>Well, I have a slightly different reservation. I'm not
>worried about how I look or how I'll measure up. I just worry
>about being somewhat of a loner and I'm not much of a joiner.

I think there may be quite a few of us in the same situation. After all, many of us are at-home exercisers, and the 'not joining in' aspect may be part of the reason why.

We 'non-joiners' will just have to hang out together. LOL!

Thanks Kathryn. I decided last night to give it a whirl! DH was really supportive and encouraging. He even offered to go with me! But I will be brave. I have to go so I can workout with Cathe live! Maybe I will even be brave and "join" a little :)

Great advice Amy! And, that is what will happen...once we all get there all the fears fade. It is such a fun time and this group of people all have the same thing in common...a love of Cathe & her workouts. It's not our body shape or fitness levels that bring us together. Be sure to bring that energy although the atmoshpere makes you want to move! Wait til you see 100+ fans bouncing on the stability balls. A fun sight! I can't wait to see everyone.

I think I'm more concerned about doing all those classes in one day!! Usually one hour is my max and I'm pretty wiped after that. I hope I can keep up!;-)

Melissa!

The energy in the room somehow motivates you to keep going. But, of course, you have the option to sit a class or two out if you prefer. BET you join in on ALL! :7

I definitely won't be going to the 'early bird' class on Sunday (I might not even be awake by then), but for the other classes, I intend to do them in a less intense mode (like if I think I could do the step class on 8", I'll do it on 6", or if I think I could do in on 6", I'll do it on 4"----and I'll modify whenever I feel like it! And if I feel I could lift 15# with a move, maybe I'll do 10# instead). I figure the length of time we would be working out is a different form of 'intensity' that can compensate for 'going all out.'

Yeah what Debbie said--while you're there there's this amazing energy in the room.

But when you get home Sunday night plan on falling into a coma. :p

When Cathe did the sculpting class last time, we used very light weights - I think no more than 10 in most cases. She did have people helping out before each class to let us know exactly what equipment we'd need.

You'll be surprised at what you can accomplish during the RT! The energy of all the road-trippers and the excitement of being in a LIVE Cathe class will totally pump you up. :)

I'll give it my all, that's for sure.

This is the perfect incentive to get in tip-top shape!!

You must go through alot of clothes? Especially on Saturday. Like an entire outfit per class? I may have to buy me-self some new work-out duds for the occasion!!!

Melissa

That was the hardest thing last time--we showered at the gym & it was ummmmmmm.......a bit crowded.

I think this time around since the hotels are so much closer many of us will probably shower in our rooms.

And yes, you will need an outfit for every class. Plan on sweating a lot. :)

I did it this way.

Step workout - showered and changed after into clothes for lunch (although it looks like this time you're staying at the gym for lunch).

Sculpting class - didn't sweat much, so just stayed in my workout clothes and freshened up.

Kickbox class - showered and changed after for the evening's festivities (wore the same clothes I'd worn for lunch)

There are a fair number of showers and the change room is HUGE and beautiful. Remember to bring quarters for the lockers. If I remember correctly, the showers have a sort of little change area outside each one.

They're private showers. There's a long row of them and in front of each shower is a private enclosure where you can change.

Hello everyone! I hope to be coming on this roadtrip! I have been working out with Cathe since 1996 and during the last road trip I was visiting this site alot but only as a lurker. I'm very introverted (a classic at home exerciser) It took a tremendous amount of courage for me to come out of lurkdom to start with. Then, I connected with the cheetahs on the check in forum since I love to run. This wonderful group of ladies has helped me to come out of my shell but I still rarely get up the courage to post elsewhere. I do believe that everyone who posts here are a very special group of people :) I feel so lonely at times because no one around me shares my passion for fitness, it is only here where I truly feel free:7 That's why I'm going on this RT (hopefully)
