Who's in the storm track?

So, who's in the track of the impending snow storm besides me?

I wonder if it's really going to amount to anything...I have a hard time believing snow forecasts when they call for a lot! The last I had heard is that they were calling for anything from 4 inches to a foot of snow from sat afternoon through some time on sunday!

I hope for DH's sake it's a small storm...I can't help the poor guy shovel out!

Have a great work out!

I am in Philadelphia and we had some snow yesterday. They are calling for at least 4" for Sat. here too. I am going to go food shopping tonight to stock up. Better be safe than sorry!!

Aila:)

Hi Wendy~
Northwest CT's in the storm track. I hope we get it! Last storm we had (which was icy - not good) forced me to stay inside and tend to some long standing housekeeping chores leftover from the holidays. Sometimes I just want to cocoon in my sweats and slippers! It is a drag shoveling out, tho!

Well, I'm between PA & CT, so I guess I'm in the midst of it too. We got about 4 inches yesterday, but it was late afternoon so the roads were pretty clear last night.

I live in central Pa and we are "supposed" to get 8 inches on Saturday. If we do get it, I'm glad it is on the weekend so I can't stay home. I HATE driving in winter weather.

I live in a Philly suburb, so I'm in the track. Yesterday's light snow taught me that I desperately need new tires. Hopefully on Saturday morning when I try to get them, a lot of other people don't have the same idea. I'll never make it with my current tires if we do get a foot of snow.

I always have to laugh at what people buy before a storm compared to what I get. Many people make sure they have milk, bread and eggs (I guess french toast is a good snow day food). I make sure I have wine, cheese, lettuce-in-a-bag and cat food. I don't have kids, however, so I guess that's the difference.

I'm in NYC - right now the forecasters are saying we'll have snow starting midday Saturday and continuing through Sunday, total accumulations anywhere from 4" to 18". Way to FORECAST, idiots!;) Four inches ain't nothin' - eighteen would be a mess.

I'm in PA also, Nazareth to be exact. The radio stations are all saying, "we know how much snow is forecasted, but we aren't allowed to air it because it would cause a panic". SHEESH! I'm prepared. I've got a chest freezer full of food, and 2 full sized refrigerators too. With just me and my 2 boys, I could be snowed in for a month and still have plenty of food. LOL..

I'm in central Virginia, and they're not saying yet whether it will be ice or snow. Give me a foot of snow anyday over ice! We're always on the "icing" line, as the weather forecasters say. Last year when we had ice, many power lines snapped in our small rural town and we were without power for four days! Yuck!!

Ice is NEVER a good thing...snow is a MUCH better option...I remember several years ago when we had a bad ice storm here in Jersey. I had taken a ride to my grandfather's house to drop something off to him that he needed and I had a heck of a time getting out of his neighborhood due to the icey conditions. I guess the main roads must have been fine or I never would have gone there to begin with, but his neighborhood was like a sheet of ice still! It's bad news!

Have a great work out!

So, they don't want to tell us the actual number of inches for fear of starting a panic??!!!!!! I was wondering why the weathermen we being so quiet about the forecast today. Fact is, they probably don't have a clue!

I live in CT too, so I'm assuming I'll be getting something. I did all my food shopping this morning and I'm cleaning my house this afternoon, so if it does blow in here on Saturday I'll be ready for it with a big pot of soup and a cozy fire in the fireplace!:)

Hey....wanted to say hello to Sarahinva.....I'm from Fredericksburg...wasn't yesterday a mess!!?? And you are so right...I HATE all the ice storms. Let us hope for snow. Take care, Donna.

Shelbygirl, when you say "Philly suburb" where are you? North, South, East, or West? I'm in NJ about 15 minutes from the Ben Franklin!

I heard on the evening news there is "a 60% chance we will see 6 inches or more. BRING IT ON!!! The Falcons won't stand a chance against the Eagles in the snow. E A G L E S eagles!!!!

Donna,

I was in that mess yesterday while traveling to Manassas...what a nightmare! I had to drive back home to Luray...nothing here, at least not yet.
Anyone going grocery shopping tomorrow?
Charlotte~~
