Who's Boss???!!

I had a few funny thoughts. OK, so I took my car to get detailed at a place down the street from where I live and its called AB Boss Detailing! When I pick up my car, I want to say, hey, Who's Boss??!! But nobody other than Cathletes would get the joke. And the other one is there is a dry cleaners by where I used to live called, you guessed it, Boss Cleaners! I want to call them and wait for them to answer something like "Good morning, Boss Cleaners" and say "Who's Boss!!" and slam the phone down.

But wait, nowadays, there really isn't such a thing as "slamming the phone down because hardly anybody has a phone with a receiver. Oh, what the youngsters are missing out on! They will never know the joys of actually slamming the phone down. Even though the person on the other end didn't know the phone was actually slammed down, it was good for the soul!!

Telephone pranks have been around since phones became household items. My mother grew up in the 1920'& 30's. She related they'd call the local pharmacy or hardware stores and ask if they had Prince Albert in a can which was a popular pipe tobacco named after Queen Victoria's husband. They'd answer yes. And they'd say "then you better let him out!" & hang up to peels of laughter from their friends. Ha ha, the simple things to amuse children. And you're right, slamming down the phone to make a point could feel good. The final say - giving a certain satisfaction.
