Who watched "Fallen Idol" On Primetime Live-(AI fans!)

Cathlete
American Idol fans! Did you happen to watch the Fallen Idol Primetime Live show last night?

I did and wasn't sure at first but Corey Clark seemed very credible and had a lot of evidence. Wow!!!

All those phone records and those voice mails from Paula!! I bet she'll be fired in no time once the show starts looking into this.

One of the messages said something to the effect of "Hi, it's Paula. Listen, if anyone from the press calls you, you say nothing. That's all you do." It was clearly her voice.

RE: Who watched

Oh! I can't believe I missed this! So you really think it's true? I can't imagine AI without Paula! Who will be the "nice" one?

RE: Who watched

I do! I was skeptical at first but after watching the show and seeing all the evidence (he has a lot). I'll be surprised if she doesn't get let go or she doesn't just resign.

They showed the phone records and played the voice mails. It was definitely her voice.

They also have witnesses. She took him to a phone place and bought him and her cell phones to just use between themselves. They have records of that at the phone store and also the employees said they remember them coming in to do this.

RE: Who watched

I was skeptical at too at first, but his evidence is way to supportive of him telling the truth. Too many witnesses, and he knows alot about inside her home and her pets etc.... Phone bills don't lie either.

I hope they don't fire her though, she really is the nice one.
Without her i don't think i would be as inclined to watch (but can't say that for sure....)

RE: Who watched

Paula seems a bit unstable to me at times.
I don't see that this would be a reason for them to fire her necessarily. After all, any publicity is good publicity! I think they'll just sweep it under the rug. (If they didn't fire her for her hit and run, then why for this. Was anything she did actually illegal?)
Though I do think it's a strange "coincidence" that Corey is coming out with this right when he's about to release an album (containing a song called "Paula-tics" about their affair--and if it's not true, then the song could be considered slander.)

RE: Who watched

The think that convinced me was that he had the perscription medicine for his throat with HER name on it!!!

RE: Who watched

I watched it Dani! I HOPE it's not true but the telephone bill made me think maybe it was. My friend said anyone can fake a voice but it sure sounded like her. The part I don't get is how none of the other eleven idols suspected something due to the fact that he said he would be gone overnight??? And, when did she take him shopping and for haircuts that others wouldn't know he was missing? He kept saying he wanted to set everyone straight. What did that mean? Oh boy, I am hoping it doesn't take away from the show because we truly like watching these talented kids.

RE: Who watched

Yes, I'm with you. I thought for sure he would look like a complete liar in the interview. But I do investigations as part of my job, and I can tell you that he looks very credible in my eyes. Of course, you can't make a judgement without hearing both sides of the story. So Paula better come out and defend herself.

And as an HR manager, I would fire her. I really like the woman, but if what he says is true, she acted extremely inappropriately and has hurt the credibility of the show.

RE: Who watched

I think the phone message could be about "ANY" topic, very vague. Also I thinks he's full of it .. He's not even cute ,or anything .Paula would not waste her time in that sence .Nor would I LOL }( }( .But I could see her trying to help all these young talents do their best ,shes very kind... I think Cory could twist the story .This is like "The national enquire" of American Idol LOLx( x( x( .This just cracks me up LOL:D :D :D :D

RE: Who watched

I'm with Mary -- I, too, think he's full of it. He isn't cute and I don't think she would risk her career with him (now if he looked like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise, well, that's another story!). But, if it did happen (which I don't think it did), why is he just now telling about it? I seriously think he is trying to promote his new record release. Everyone has forgotten his name (including me!) and this is a way to remind everyone who he is. Unfortunately, he is doing it at the expense of ruining someone else's career. However, I don't think they will fire Paula -- all of the judges balance out -- Paula finds the good in everyone, Simon who tells the truth no matter what, and Randy is there in between (you never know which way he will go -- he's usually on the more milder side, however and not as critical as Simon!) I think that the show's producers will risk messing up what has worked really well the last four seasons.

I think this will all blow over and will be forgotten soon. Go Bo!!! (I love rock and roll -- what can I say!)

RE: Who watched

She would have to be pretty foolish to leave messages for him and meet his friends and talk to his parents and leave so much evidence everywhere. It's so hard to believe.

I would imagine that there must be a rule against judges becoming personally involved with contestants while they're still contestants. Why would she break the rules so openly? Of course, if she has, I would think that AI would have no choice but to fire her.

RE: Who watched

> I think the phone message could be about "ANY" topic, very
>vague.

*Any topic* for 111 minutes, and then one for 150 minutes the next day and then another for 90 minutes???? There are a bunch of them.

:)

RE: Who watched

I'm going to wait to make my judgement on this one until we've heard Paula's side of the story. It's always a real eye-opener when you get the other side. After what I saw on Entertainment Tonight last night, I'm starting to not believe Cory so much.

RE: Who watched

Why would Cory (who obviously has no money) go up against the AI machine? I wouldn't have the guts to do something like this unless it was true, because Paula will most likely sue.

RE: Who watched

I just want to hear Paula's explanation for all of this. Then I'll be more inclined to believe it didn't happen. But for now, I still believe him even though it seems to me he has ulterior motives.

RE: Who watched

Dani,
I forgot to watch and I could kick myself. :) From the stories I read, he does seem credible. He has her prescription medicine, she's buying him cellphones, all of the phone calls and messages. If it quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

I like Paula too, and it's a shame this is happening. It's definitely a learning experience though for her if it is true. She was probably very trusting, she probably never thought this would happen. It's a shame this kid would tell the world about it. But, maybe he feels disinfranchised because he was kicked off, and wants to sell records.
