Who cares? Enjoying June 2016

Had to try out the bikes last night. Ride 12 miles, this morning another 17. So nice not worry about about the hills, still get a good workout!

All this bicycling has reduced my RHR. I thought it was always good at 62, but lately it's been 59!

Hi all

Lisa - how exciting! That's great news about your RHR.

Went to DD's gymnastics club championships yesterday. She did really well, two bronze, two gold, a trophy and Club Champion! She's never won that before, so proud of her.
Off to London tonight to a gig. It'll be a late night ...

23 miles ride yesterday, 20 today. My neck and ankle is feeling really good. Pillow is helping my neck (along with less UB weights). I feel I could test out my ankle with a walk but I'm having too much fun bicycling! Probably for the best not to push it anyway. Ronne, after I posted about my RHR, it went down again to 58 and then today it's coming in at 57! I think I may have found a good form of exercise for me! Congrats to DD, that's awesome! Have fun tonight!

Some more pictures!

Hello

Lisa - wow, you're really racking up the miles! So glad you've found something that works for you.

Had a great night last night. We went for something to eat first and then the gig was fantastic. Sang along to everything.
I was pretty tired this morning as I didn't get to bed till 12.30 but I got Circuit Blast in which woke me up!

Ronne, kudos for getting in a workout, I don't think I would have. Are you hoarse from singing? I'm imagining you belting out the tunes! 17.5 miles today it was really windy and I took a route I've done a lot on the regular bike, I never would have made it without pedal assist with all the strong headwinds! I may have found a new riding buddy (my neighbor), will see.

HI girls! Sorry to have been missing, I have no idea where the time goes? Today a picked a booty w/o from YouTube , didn't look at how long it was, 80 minutes later..... I better wake up with a nice round butt in the morning! Lisa, I can't believe how far you bike! It's amazing! So beautiful where you live! Ronne, what kind of band did you see? Congrats to DD! Cleaned today, went to the nature center, like a mini zoo, out to lunch with the boys, nice day so far. Hope everyone had a good evening! Mary

Hello

Late post today.

Lisa - actually I wasn't. You're really racking up the miles now with a bit of assistance!

Mary - I know what you mean. I can't keep up. Wow, 80 minutes, I would have given up. It's a rock/pop band, guitar and drums kind of thing.

Starting yoga again. I'm doing a 14 day challenge. Yoga every day.
Got a meeting at school tonight about DD's German trip. She goes at the end of the month.

Hello! Today did upper body from Cathe live. My butt doesn't look any better after yesterday's marathon! Ronne, do you do a specific instructor? Is this on line workouts? Lisa, how are you? Maybe pool today, if it doesn't rain. Good day to all! Mary

11 miles today, went into a singletrack in the foothills, DH liked it, I did too (feel like you are the only one out there), however once we started hitting rocks I got all tense. Ronne, the assistance helps me keep up with DH too, I could have gotten more of a workout (although I still got a good workout, still easily up there with a cathe cardio). My legs are getting tired, I'm solo with Suki tomorrow or it may be a rest day as it's HOT. Have you been to Germany before? My parents were stationed there and said it was beautiful. My red hair comes from my German side of the family! Does DD know German? Mary, haha, maybe come bicycling with me for your butt, my quads and glutes are tired! It's getting so hot here so early that I need to plan some mountain time for our bicycling.

Hello

Mary - yes, it's the website I usually use: Do Yoga With Me. Enjoy the pool if you get there.

Lisa - yes, we've been a lot to various cities. DH speaks German so we've had a lot of holidays there, it's great.

Day 2 of yoga, not very demanding, nice for a change.
Just managed to get the grass cut before a storm starts. It's thundering now. We had a massive storm last night, torrential rain, lightning, the lot.

16 miles today. Was awake at 3am up at 5 am, so decided to go ride before it gets hot. DH wanted to go so I promised we'd be home before his call. I like that he is wanting to ride, it's good for him so I'll accommodate! Turns out we could have gone further and got back and his call was canceled, grrr! oh well. I'm going to add in some of the muscle meltdowns at least every other day to keep UB toned, will start with only 2 sets so and see how neck feels as I go. It's been feeling so good with new pillow, new bike, and less UB, I'm even thinking about postponing my massage. I'm learning how to keep active with my new limitations (yes it's taken me a while---hard headed German I am! lol!). Mary, are the kids working this summer? Ronne, your family has many talents! Another European country for you is probably similar to another state for us? --minus language differences....lol

Hi all! Lisa the bike rides look so fun, such beauty! I'm really itching to travel. I might have 8 days off in mid July to go do something, with younger dd this time. I'm thinking of Tennessee and rafting and hiking but am open to something out west if I can get it planned. I just can't decide. Ronne, for a Fall Europe adventure, what do you suggest? I'm not sure how to start. I have a bunch of tabs open to different travel sites.
I'm working day shift for the next 6 weeks, then who know what will happen, its up in the air. No matter what, if I go back to nights, I've got to have better control over the schedule. Mary, your summer is going to fly by with prep for college. Your dd will be living away, too, right?
I've been doing mostly KCM's lately. My food has been off w/ younger dd at home. Not her fault, but it has worked out that way. Right now I have baby crows in my living room. Older dd participating in taekwondo competition this weekend- Sunshine State Games.
Anyway, I'm very open to travel suggestions, please!

Hi all! Today did a barre workout. Jody! Hello! Night shift is rough, I don't miss doing that. Yes, the twins both leave in August, I'm trying not to think about it! Avoidance always works! Have fun planning your trips, I do love Tennessee, so beautiful. Lisa, what a great thing for you and DH, wish I could keep up with mine. He's down to a 7 minute mile! Ronne, is that a paid site? I find so many good workouts on YouTube, good for my ADD! Cleaning drawers today. Fingers crossed for the Cav's to win tonight! Mary

Hi Jody! I'm planning our mountain biking (on bike trails). Rio grande trail from Glenwood Springs to Aspen and vail bike path and others around Frisco area. If you ever want to come to Colorado and do something together I have a spare room! Mary, DH slows down to keep my pace. He always did, even when skiing. 7 min Mile is impressive! But he has to stay in shape for his job. You're a lucky woman!

Hello!

Lisa - sounds like a good plan but take it really easy with the UB!! Yes, it is a bit like that in Europe, especially when sometimes you can get on a train to go somewhere. I love that!

Mary - that's impressive of your DH! It's a pay what you can site, I'm going to subscribe as I do use it a lot and they deserve some support!

Jody - I've been doing KCM a lot recently, she's great. Sounds like a nice idea for July. Re Europe, have you got any preferences? There's a lot to go at. I tend to head for northern Europe as that's to my taste, I'm not that bothered about Paris, Italy etc. so it really depends what appeals. I love Berlin and can go back again and again there. Amsterdam is also great, a small doable city with a really relaxed atmosphere. I've also been to Copenhagen which was great and Sweden is on my to-do list (but it's phenomenally expensive). I do like Spain as well, Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, it's got some great cities. Oh and Lisbon's great as well. If you want to PM me with specific questions I'm happy to help (to save boring everyone else rigid!).

Day three of yoga done. DD is away this weekend on a reward trip for her school year. So DH and I are going to eat out tomorrow night. Wanted to go to the cinema but there is absolutely nothing on!

13 miles today, I really used the power assist up this one massive, gravel hill (ok a few of them). The one big one I only tried once before and I ended up walking my bike! Today the power assist came in very handy! Especially because it was the end of the ride! I'm a bit sore in neck/upper back from 2 sets of ICE MM back, my goal is to stay toned but I'm not trying to be a power lifter! half weight is good for me, plus this morning I'm sore so it was a good workout. I succumbed to trying out cannabis cream, jury is still out on how well it works (it's not cheap either!). Guess I should be glad I'm in Colorado :)

Ronne, you won't bore me with Europe details. I'm not sure if we'll ever get there, DS loved Ireland and no language barrier! Maybe someday? My sister and brother is going on Safari to Africa for her 60th birthday....I wasn't asked, not sure I would have gone anyway for various reasons.

I have company coming tonight so tomorrow should be rest day, we have a big ole heatwave coming and our AC quit putting out cool air! Can't get anyone here until monday.

I just looked at my riding stats, I'm doing 4x the elevation since I have the power assist. Makes for a more enjoyable ride and getting places I couldn't get to before! Totally worth it!

Hi all! Today did another YouTube workout. Lisa, you guys could do a cross country trip! Ronne, I would love to hear about traveling around Europe! It will be a long time before I get the opportunity, so I could live through all of you! Have fun with DH! Jody, where do you want to go in Europe? Where have Roxie and Murphy gone? Just cleaning and mowing today, 2 grad parties tomorrow. Have a good day! Mary
